    To get $550 off the Soundavo WS66i Whole Home Audio amp, use code TKMZ at checkout! To get 15% off of their ceiling speakers use code TKMZ15
    This is the ribbon cable I used: amzn.to/37HtaOp
    The 18 pin connectors I used: amzn.to/37DAMBE
    The whole reason this project is not done yet, is because of my STUPID CEILING FAN that has not arrived yet. I decided to replace the ceiling fan while I rent the scaffolding so I could hit up the speakers and that at the same time and only have to rent it once. BUT unfortunately that means this whole home audio is getting dragged out :)

    Enjoy the videos👌fresh into the hobby, a video suggestion for you: terminating cables to put onto the amp and keypads and maybe also a schematic of your set up.

    Can you let me know where you bought the bulk ribbon cable, connectors, and any tools needs to put them together? I am doing a somewhat custom install with 3 units and 18 zones in my house. I was just about to do connect a couple of cables together as recommended previous video and then saw this one and stopped.
    I also used your idea of the custom wall mounts and made 3 of my own yesterday, painted them last night and plan to install today. Thanks for the idea and replying to my other comments.

      I still have ribbon cable and connectors left over, let me know if you want to just have me make one and mail it to you for like $10. Thanks for watchin!

      These wall controls don't have bluetooth built in, but in fact this new upgraded amplifier (the soundavo ws66i) has 2 wireless streamers built in. They run on your home network which is far better than bluetooth. If you want more info check my channel on the soundavo ws66i, I have a discount code. But to answer your question, they do make a bluetooth receiver for these if that is really what you want www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=13358&gclid=CjwKCAiAz4b_BRBbEiwA5XlVVpRQOxBSNWiiJh-iPvRC-4y-JSr1c0qF3T0KQ6Nw7eWwZwqLOWLj0RoCqe4QAvD_BwE

    does connecting those two amps with the ribbon cable mean that technically you would have 12 zones (if both amps are 6 zones) and you could use the app to stream on not only the first amp but the one you added on as well and seamlessly?

    • @TheKMZ1
      @TheKMZ1  3 года назад

      Yes connecting them together means you get 12 zones, but you still only get 6 sources. So the slave amplifiers share the sources from the main amp

  • @firerescue3214
    @firerescue3214 3 года назад

    Is there any way to add more sources? I’ve maxed out at 6 with 9 zones.

    • @TheKMZ1
      @TheKMZ1  3 года назад

      Technically you wouldn't have to link the 2 amps together. You could run 2 amps independently but then, each amp could not tune into any sources on the other amp

    Did you use surface mount raceway type boxes for the ethernet / controller connections?

    • @TheKMZ1
      @TheKMZ1  3 года назад

      I used legrand metal extra deep electrical boxes amzn.to/2KIxP9T when they are mounted on the wall like this, it makes the ethernet connectors a little tight on the back side, but it works. If they had an extra extra deep box it would be a little better haha

      @@NavyCopMA1 Yeah if you can find one that is deeper than the "extra deep" ones by legrand, then it will probably work a little better. But, if you can't, those legrand ones do work, it's just that as you are pushing it in, you will start to think, uh oh this isn't going to fit. But it does fit and work.... i've used these in about 4 installs (so far no connection issues) It's kind of one of those things, that once you put it up, I doubt you would ever remove it

    I bought the Soundavo 6 zone amp. I have the amp plugged into the modem in the basement My router is centrally located in the house. is there a way to wirelessly stream and utilize the wireless functionality when the amp is not plugged into the router but is connected to the internet?

    • @TheKMZ1
      @TheKMZ1  3 года назад +1

      I think the 2 wireless streamers can connect to your wifi network. I think you'll need to have it plugged into your LAN at first, then configure that and then i think you can unplug it.
