Welcome to my new Series, Whole Home Audio from Start to Finish! I get comments every week from my videos asking questions about whole home audio, so I figured it was time to show IN DETAIL from start to finish.
In this video, the weather was nice on the weekend, so I decided to do a little prep work and odds and end work that needed to be done. A short video for once!

What enclosure outdooe enclosure are you using for the keypad that will be outside? I have a Pegola I built and was thinking of adding a keypad outside but wasn't sure if I wanted to risk it getting damaged.

Hello Kayden, I watched all your great videos. I am on the process of changing my Elan system due to technology changing to fast. I would like to simplify my audio and video system. After watching your series of Whole Home Audio Start 2 Finish. I have several questions? Do you have an email or phone number, to ask you opinion on the Soundavo or Sonos.

The Soundavo and Sonos are really 2 different things, i think they appeal to 2 different audiences. Sonos is much more expensive, their speakers are primarily wireless (not ceiling speakers), so do you want wireless speakers in your house, sitting on bookshelves, or floors, or in the corner of your rooms? Or, do you want in ceiling speakers, that (in my opinion) look more professional, they are more hidden. Are you wanting in wall volume controls, or do you just want to control the zones with the app? Soundavo can give you the volume controls, but you also don't have to if you won't use them. Also, installation wise, are you capable of installing the ceiling speakers yourself? Or do you need a simpler install which is what Sonos can offer? People who can't or don't want to install ceiling speakers themselves, will pay that higher premium for Sonos, to have that easy function. So, I think the answer depends on your abilities and what kind of look you are wanting. Hope this helps!

@@TheKMZ1 I have 6 zones ( Z1: Master Bedroom 2 Spkrs, Z2: Family Rm. 2 Spkrs, Z3: Kitchen 2 Spkrs, Z4: Dining Rm. 2 Spkrs, Z5: Bonus Rm. 2 Spkrs, Z6:Outside 2 Spkrs. All speakers are hard wired. Also I Have access to run wires from my crawl space to the attic. Now, I have an Elan M86A multi source /Multi Zone Controller, an Elan DT11 Tuner, a matrix switch (8x8), and global cache with a Denon receiver, but my dilema is that this system is to complicated for me and I cost me too much money every time that something goes wrong with it. I Have to call a tech to fix it. I want to simplify where I can take care of the audio system myself.

@@3iowricans since you already have all that wiring, definitely go with the soundavo ws66i, it will integrate nicely and it's cheaper than sonos by a lot. Use my code TKMZ and you'll get a nice discount on the WS66i.
