Glock: an accurate, reliable, well-made firearm, with a large aftermarket for upgrades from everything from triggers to comps to red dots. Hi-Point: better than getting into a knife fight.
Say what you want about Hi-Point but I think they're decent guns for their price point. The dishwasher/busser at my father's restaurant had his home robbed twice 3 years ago. My father and I introduced implored him to arm himself and even offered to give him some money to get something nice. He didn't take us up on our offer and bought some guns at a pawn shop instead. For less than $200 at a pawn shop in Houston, TX (I think the one on Washington Ave and Durham) he got a Mossberg Maverick 88 and a Hi-Point. He was able to arm his whole household for less than $200. Under most regular conditions a Hi-Point is reliable. I took him to a range to practice shooting and I was surprise with how well his Hi-Points actually shoot. The ergonomics, felt recoil, the low capacity for its size, and terrible trigger makes a Hi-Point not fun to shoot. However, hust to defend yourself a Hi-Point isn't a bad option at its price.
Hi Point is two weapons in one, you have a heavy club when it runs out of rounds, Therefore the Glock sucks because it is too light. Also since no universal carry cases seems to work with the Hi Point it is always in your hand in ready state.
Awesome. I just want to say it was A fun video to watch. But in the real world, no gun man is going to fling that Glock or Even that Hi point Into a Boulder. If you Happen to be in the Back Woods Of Alaska , even that Hi Point . Would be nice to Have. Just Saying.
My $300 all metal 1911 what survived those tests better than his clock. If all you had was $200 to arm yourself, you could do that with a high point and a few boxes of ammo, and that is the whole point behind a high point, not ultimate durability under the worst of conditions and abuse. Besides, rather than owning one Glock, for the same price you could own four high points, and if one breaks, you have three more as backup.
I just want to say... if I had a window open during a hurricane and needed to make sure my 3rd class mail didn’t blow around the room... the Hi Point would work just fine.
As a Hi-Point fan boy I totally agree with what you have said in this video. My carry rotation is a Glock model 41, a Sig Saur P220, and a Taurus G3, and a Ruger GP 100 six inch. Aside from my wheel guns which I carried on duty and off, my first semi auto was a Hi-Point JHP 45. I then added a Hi-Point C9. I have Hi-Points secreated around my property because no matter the weather they work. My carry, (as noted above) is generally higher end and more comfortable. Just my personal thoughts for what it's worth.

What If it's NOT with you, IT has Been Stolen, Or In HIGH Stress Situation YOU Lose it??
It's A TOOL.. And A VERY Affordable tool.. I Go to HARBOR FREIGHT...

The Point is(No Pun Intended..). IF YOU'RE No GOOD At shooting Under Pressure, Untrained in Pistol COMBAT OR Want to "LOOK" Cool with an Expensive Tool. BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO OPERATE WITH IT..
I WILL Best YOU Every Time with My HI-Point.. Take Your Pick of the Model.. Because I HAVE Drilled A LOT(I MEAN A LOT.. with Hi-Points. Yes PLURAL. Because I Use 1 To Plink with. And "Others" to TRAIN WITH. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!) I'm VERY Comfy With ANY Of my Hi-Points..
Such A TRUE STATEMENT! Because YOU SUMMED IT UP With one Sentence!
The fact there was no drive-by testing of the HiPoint is disappointing
It’s handled surprisingly well. I guess these would make decent truck guns for what they cost
I would agree, a Glock is cheap enough to keep in a truck.
GT community: do an M1 Garand review pls
GT: here's another Hi-Point vid and another Glock vid, BUT AT THE SAME TIME LMAO!
I still waiting to see a Garand thumb.
@alan wake
But, no Garand thumb 😒
@alan wake there is "a" vid but not a proper review one
The comparison noone needed, but we definitely deserved.
I heard SOCOM was considering adopting the Hi-Point chambered in 6.9mm Grundle. However it did not pass trials due to “taint-ed” ammo.
"If you're a navy seal I'm gonna recommend the high point" 😂😂 I'm dead
This should be a Hi-Point commercial. *_Hi-Point_* - _Almost as good as a Glock._

This man is basically the Jeremy Clarkson of the gun world.
That is actually on point good call lol
Holy shit, that makes perfect sense!
he truly is the Travis Haley's son of the gun world when you really think about it.
Not nearly as sexy though.
As a Marine vet, the movie quality Indie costume impressed me the most. Kudos.
Who else flinched every time he pulled the trigger on the highpoint expecting it to explode in his face?
Mike certainly did 7:52😂
“If you’re a navy seal, I gotta reccomend the Hi-Point”
The High Point bounced more off the rock. That's exactly what I'm looking for.
Hahahaha
The dust test was interesting. The Hi-Point was more successful with a first shot, but the Glock was more reliable with follow-ups.
If you ask Wyatt Earp, the first shot is the most important.

“Hi-point adding to the old adage, 2 is 1, 1 is none.... and... this ones broken too” maybe 3 is 1 lol
"It's all about training!" I yell as my hipoint explodes in my hand killing me instantly
What hurts more?
Getting hit by a thrown Glock or Hi-Point.
The rock says: Hi-Point wins.
Weight is sign of reliability. If it doesn't work, you can always hit him with it.
Hi point billy club
I'm pissed at myself for how long it took me to give this channel a shot. But at the same time I'm happy I have hours of content to binge
Need clarification on your water test:
I'm not a seal, but I do go out in the rain sometimes. Should I exchange my glock for a Hi-Point?
Yes, definitely. The scientific data also supports this

Yes
Hey flannel daddy congratulations on becoming a father!
He is already your daddy ;)

"Hi Point: Adequate, but Barely." is a powerful marketing ploy.
Charter arms: am I a joke to you?
They could use "Hey, we're not Jennings".
*Hipoint Company Owner in his garage/manufacturing plant drinking a steel reserve* adequate but barely....hmmm i like that.
There are 2 types of hipoints: ones that work, and ones that don't. You get one that works, you got a good one.
Still a better love story than para ordnance.
FYI I have literally seen 100's of video's people have done to the highpoint hand gun and I can say I would never give up my little highpoint, its just a dependable gun and it has always stood the test of time, BUT I have others that are my first choice but the highpoint c9 is my truck gun and my range gun for tossing around, that being said thanks for the video great comparison...
"The last gun you'll ever use in an altercation" - Hi-Point
Right when the Hi-point slide stopped moving into battery after the rock throw test. That made me incredibly nervous.
Was expecting the slide to blow apart from a hairline fracture.
I love how "Indy" at 9:05 just casually takes a step back after handing him the Hi-Point LOL!
It's Garand's sincerity in his video that really makes me enjoy his uploads.
I once read a comment that said “not even King Arthur could pull me out of flannel daddy” and I haven’t been the same since Mike.

He missed the opportunity to yell “YEET!” as he threw the High Point into a rock!
He made up for it at 13:34.

Glock: an accurate, reliable, well-made firearm, with a large aftermarket for upgrades from everything from triggers to comps to red dots.
Hi-Point: better than getting into a knife fight.
Best comment.
Is it though? 🤔
you’re better off throwing the Hi-point at the guy and rushing him with the knife.
I have a Hi-Point.9mm and it has never misfired in 5 years or more.I have others but I have no issues with the Hi-Point other than capacity.
"I went to med school and dropped out, that makes me a doctor in east Jersey " 🤣
Grow the “I just had a baby” mustache
Hi Point is two weapons in one, you have a heavy club when it runs out of rounds,
Therefore the Glock sucks because it is too light.
Also since no universal carry cases seems to work with the Hi Point it is always in your hand in ready state.
"I went to med school but I dropped out. That makes me a doctor in east new jersey." ...ROTFLMAO
Now this is the battle 2020 needed.

My all metal 1911 will grind dirt and gravel into a lubricative powder, and then will continue to run!
My $300 all metal 1911 what survived those tests better than his clock.
If all you had was $200 to arm yourself, you could do that with a high point and a few boxes of ammo, and that is the whole point behind a high point, not ultimate durability under the worst of conditions and abuse.
Besides, rather than owning one Glock, for the same price you could own four high points, and if one breaks, you have three more as backup.
archangel20031 how many hands do you have? I only have two...
I just want to say... if I had a window open during a hurricane and needed to make sure my 3rd class mail didn’t blow around the room... the Hi Point would work just fine.
This World ain't reliable enough for the two of us.
These intros keep getting better.
