    Recorded on the 28th August 2021, with the following changes from last video:
    - Updated audio to switch between AA11, UA175, AA77 & UA93 (depending on the most relevant events happening on each frequency).
    - Added AA77 events (which were accidentally left out of the UA93 video).
    - Removed some models to get rid of overlapping squares in Boston, Washington D.C. & South Carolina.

      If flight 11 and 175 collided with other planes far less people would have died. When 175 hit the south tower 700 people died instantly inside the south tower plus 100s more died when the south tower fell. An air collision would have been far far less deaths

    I was at Logan a few weeks ago and was waiting for my flight in Terminal B. I decided to walk down to gate B32 to pay my respects. Flight 11 pulled out of C19, but I haven’t made it over there yet…maybe next time. I can't get through it. Just hearing the cheerful pilots, the kindness in their voices, as they start their day, when I know what is about to happen. Just the pilots, not to mention all of the passengers and those on the ground, were every day heroes whose lives were taken. The only consolation, if there is one, is the fact that NO ONE is doing this again on an airplane. We were taught to follow hijackers orders so that no one would be injured! They were doing what they were taught. Now, there would be 20 strong men, at least, who would take them down or die in the attempt. Hell, I'd do it. Also, now an airplane that doesn't respond gets immediate escorts by fighter jets. HEARTBREAKING we had to go through that to get to this. 🙏❤

      American airline security was laughable before 9/11 and hijackers around the world knew it. Israeli airports have had military armed with AK47s providing security at their air port since the early 70s. Before magnatron x-rays they were doing full body pat downs where you were required to take your coat, belt, shoes and sox off and empty your pockets of your pants and turn them inside out - or be arrested on the spot if you fail to immediately and fully comply. To hell with your "personal rights" - you bought a ticket to board an aircraft, which makes you subject to OUR rules. Of course, Israel was dealing with homeland terrorism long before America was. But we should have adapted their security standards by the 1980s. Enough international flights had gotten hijacked by then to make Americans have second thoughts about their personal rights.

      Problem is now with reinforced cockpit doors the passengers have no chance to stop hijackers if they get themselves into the cockpit and close the door. Also no chance to stop a suicidal pilot, like on that Malaysian air pilot. I'll never fly again, we gave up our civil liberties and flying is even more dangerous now. It wasn't worth it.

    I know someone who died in Tower 1 on Floor 102, and I can't figure out what I'm supposed to listen for. I'm listening to most of this for the first time since the 9/11 Commission trials in 2004. I don't understand what I'm supposed to listen for. Someone suggested I do it and for whatever reason, I'm doing it.
    Unfortunately, I have no idea how this is supposed to stop me from thinking of him every single day since it happened? Believe me, I've tried but I still think of him every single day.
    I named my business after him. They tried to rob him of creating one, so I named mine after him. He was NOT greedy, not that GREED should carry the death sentence with it, but all the terrorists' little helpers didn't get what they helped force onto 2,975 people.
    The only really great day was May 2, 2011.

      It's better (more understandable) than the last one I tried to listen to, but I still feel more confused than informed.
      What I don't understand ios why? Why didn't a sudden disappearance and turning off the transponder didn't raise more concern than what they showed, even then? They act as if losing a transponder signal is somewhat normal. Is it?

    • @GreebleClown
      @GreebleClown 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@VickiBee I also don’t understand how someone could hate complete strangers enough to actively work to kill them. Not only doesn’t it make sense, it never accomplishes anything other than more pain and anger.
      From my listening to ATC recordings and emergency documentaries I wouldn’t say it’s normal, but it could have been caused by a number of issues: a technical failure, restart of the aviation system from a failure elsewhere, someone accidentally switching it off or to standby mode… It happens occasionally and the issue is usually resolved quickly or they use other extra ways to communicate with the plane. They were rather concerned, as any plane malfunction is a cause for concern, but ATC is an extremely high stress job and they are trained to remain calm and focus on working so it may not show in their voice. They figured out it was a hijacking fairly quickly, but up until then hijackings had been done by people who wanted something: to go somewhere specific, to get money, they had demands that could be met. So while it was extremely worrying, there was not much they could do until they figured out what the hijackers’ plan was so it was treated as a hostage situation and NORAD was contacted to intercept the plane. Unfortunately, the hijacking and the crash happened so fast there wasn’t any time or any thing that could be done to try and stop it. (You can see on the map how close the airport is to the Towers.)

    I noticed the FAA report on the hijackings highlighted a "brief unknown sound (possibly a scream) from an unknown origin" being heard at 08:17:59," leading me to believe that the noise at 30:06 (which was partially drowned out by Boston Center's transmission to AA11) was what they were referring to. It's almost as eerie as the mayday calls from UA93, considering we can really only speculate on whether or not it was a brief glimpse into the hijackers overpowering AA11's pilots, or if it was merely radio interference, or something else entirely. I can't help but fixate on it.

      Regarding flight 93 (speculation only) I feel like the pilots had their finger on the microphone button immediately after they were told to hijacking has happened twice now (when they were told after the south tower was hit) to keep an eye on securing your cockpit readiness unless they were able to hear someone from the first class start screaming because they had a knife coming to them (probably flight attendant, but, could be a combination with a passenger(s) screaming and they knew to get a message out).

You can hear in the pilots voice during his communication with ATC that his voice tails off at the end of his sentence as if distracted by the commotion in the back. Not sure what the sound is at 30:06 . It sounded more mechanical than human, so my guess is that it was something being pulled or pushed within the cockpit by the highjackers who clearly had control by then.

      The US Government could have ramped up security without taking advantage of a bad situation & infringing on US Citizens Rights. Unfortunately after 9/11 it wasn't just people commuting through airports that suffered. The Government used that situation to take away many Civil Rights and gained many new Powers & its new powers were even used against Trump with secret courts during & after his 2016 Win. If 9/11 is what they said it was, a few Arabs pulling off a terrorist attack on America, there's no need for such level of security theyve implemented. That attack was not easy & had to have taken years of planning & it exposed the lack of on plane security. If we can put a man on the Moon we should be able to make it almost impossible to hijack planes with box cutters without violating so many peoples Rights.

    37th minute as hijacker is making an announcement the Boston ATC guy says, “oh good.” Is he talking to someone else at ATC and not really hearing the hijacker or is he happy UA 175 is at least in contact with him?
    That leads me to another question, almost every time if not every time a hijacker makes an announcement, the ATC guy’s have no reaction. Is that part of their training and they immediately alert someone with more capacity to deal with the situation then once that is done they go back and clarify with other pilots what they heard? The way it seems on these recordings is they ignore them then much later, perhaps will ask if anyone else heard anything, or even don’t say anything until someone else on the frequency mentions it.

    • @crazykins9361
      @crazykins9361 6 месяцев назад +2

      Hopefully more people will comment on who said, “oh good” because it sounds like the same guy to me.
      In my opinion Atta doesn’t respond for one of three reasons, his English is too poor to understand fully, he doesn’t know how to respond (he probably doesn’t realize his message was sent to ATC and not the airplane cabin.) Or, and probably most likely, he had no intention of talking to anyone other than those required for his task at hand. Or maybe a combination of all three?

    • @crazykins9361
      @crazykins9361 6 месяцев назад +2

      As far as what Atta was saying sounding unreal, as much as it probably was to him, they must have a protocol to deal with those types of things (although perhaps the end game being to crash into buildings wasn’t covered). At the point the “announcement” was made I would think the protocol would go something like, tell your supervisor who will go to his next chain of command etc. The Boston ATC guy did tell someone that the plane wasn’t responding to him once it was clear it wasn’t for a reason he might be able to figure out. The guy he told didn’t seem concerned at all. I’m pretty certain it must be a semi-common occurrence for technical problems to happen but once the transponder was turned of you would think immediately everyone’s hijacking or serious plane malfunction sensors would kick in. As far as what we hear on this video that doesn’t seem to happen but I’m hoping someone will have more knowledge about what would happen behind the scenes in this circumstance.
      I understand what you are saying, to actually have it happen to you is stunning but you need nerves of steel to get that job and they demonstrate that in these and many other videos on RUclips with ATC’s and pilots* in them.I’m pretty sure he could deal with what he heard well enough to get the job done.
      *OMG, the composure pilots have when dealing with a likely fatal situation is amazing. One in particular I’m thinking about now is Swiss Air Flight 111, the plane is on fire and the pilot is casually going about getting the plane landed at the airport. Unfortunately he doesn’t make it.

    For them to like aim and fly into a building, do they need to manually fly it or will autopilot fly it despite it crashing? Like would autopilot know not to do that command or

    • @lunayoshi

      They'd have to aim. Autopilot wouldn't let the planes get that low to the ground off-course without manual input.

      @@lunayoshi Autopilot would actually allow that to happen, so they either: 1. Tuned in any of the New York aiports and flew there, then manually crashed it or 2. Entered coordinates to the exact location, which is highly unlikely that they knew how to do so most probable answer is 1

      I can't even imagine being a traffic controller and having to tell a pilot, "I don't have any idea what he (another pilot) is doing" and "take any evasive action you see fit". The traffic controller is having to admit to the pilots he's supposed to protect that they are on their own at that moment... so gutwrenching to hear.

    Whoever put this together may have put in a lot of effort, but didn't really have a clue There's a lot of cross-talk, a lot of relevant audio that wasn't included, and for example, at 1:49:46, the caption saying that American 77 "crashes into the Pentagon in New York City" is obviously completely wrong.

    • @NoisyTurtle2600
      @NoisyTurtle2600  Год назад +7

      Cross-talk is a problem when I try and have multiple different audio sources in the same video (and synced up via time).
      I have other videos with single audio souces, such as this one for AA11: ruclips.net/video/TpQQPNCmmZ4/видео.html
      In terms of missing relevant audio here is the same video with the addition of a bunch of Rutgers University audio:
      ruclips.net/video/bMYBXva4Q2c/видео.html
      (If you know any specific audio I'm missing let me know)
      And yes, I am guilty of a couple of spelling mistakes/incorrect info in the text boxes. A couple of people have pointed out the Pentagon mistake so hopefully I remember to fix that if I make any more 911 videos this year :P

      I believe that bit of audio would have originally been from thia video:
      ruclips.net/video/Akd24vJ9FPs/видео.html
      And I think any redacted audio in that video would have originally been done by the F.A.A. when they released the audio to the public.

    There was a 5th plane - American 28. It was almost ready to take off in Newark in line up for the runway, being 45 minutes late. 10 planes were in front of it. 3 suspicious passengers in first class, one of them a man disguised in a hijab, refused a fruit tray, saying "I don't want to eat- I want to take off!!". After it returned to the gate after being grounded, it was locked, yet people on the ground saw 2 uniformed men running in the empty plane. When they checked after this report, the hatch to the belly of the plane was hanging open. 2 boxcutters were found in the pocket of a first class seat in the plane next to it - the serial number of both planes were off by just one digit.
