I just put one on my KSG and it works great. It mitigates recoil effectively without being too squishy and also doesn't compromise how well you can stabilize it on your shoulder. Why it didn't ALREADY COME ON THE DAMN THING, perplexes the shit out of me but I would definitely suggest picking one up. I paid $35 including shipping.
It basically boils down to making money with the upgrades. 😉Also the marketing aspect of being able to brag about not having a bone stock vanilla KSG 😄My KSG is upgraded with the aluminum followers and the extended butt pad. I also got the carry handle but decided not to install it because it replaces the top picatinny rail which is fine if you don't use an optic. However, with the carry handle installed, there's no other rigid mount for a laser to hold zero. The bottom picatinny rail is on the pump grip which has a lot of wobble/play. The carry handle has Mlok slots so you could theoretically install a small rail for a laser or offset optic but the handle is polymer so there's some flex. It would be nice if someone made an aluminum carry handle in the KS7 style for the KSG.
@@necavenue I went way too far with mine. I also have... hold on, let me go grab the thing... The Keltec Kydex cheek cover, the MCarbo shell deflector, the Hi-Tech extended tube selector, aluminum followers, the Hi-Tech Q.D. sling attachment, a grip plug, an M Carbo 3.5lb adjustable trigger kit, M Carbo rubberized grips, a Hi-Tech lower aluminum rail with the A3 tactical MP5 style foregrip, the Mesa tactical 12 round shell carrier and upper pic rail, a Hi-Tech defender muzzle device, a venom vortex optic with elevated stand, and a Magpul MS4 sling. All I need now is some good, co-witnessed flip up iron sights, a good light with a pressure switch and I think I might put one of those Laserlyte center mass lasers on it. Fully loaded it's gonna weigh about 35 pounds, I think.
@@eamonia Haha that sounds crazy. Gonna get a good muscle workout every time you raise it up to fire. 😁 Speaking of upgrades, I too have the grip plug and a foregrip designed for a CZ Scorpion 😆
You guys have really listened since release.. I keep seeing notes about using punches, but I can pull the pins out manually without a problem! I know I'm not Superman, but that little bit of pin redesign has been fantastic!
Actually loosening the screws is completely not required on the ksg at least. As the butt pad is pressed on with "lips" to stay on. The screws do not retain the butt pad whatsoever
Do not follow his directions. Simply loosen the screws. Pull out the old cheek pad. Feed the replacement pad from the top and push in place. Hand tighten the screws. As simple as that. Just replaced the cheek pad on my KS7 with a Missouri Tactical cheek pad. It took couple of minutes.
Hello I am wondering why you made the new extended buttpad smaller and thinner compared to the one offered years ago? I would really like the bigger surface area and slightly longer pull of the old style design.
Don't take off the buttstock!! I followed his instructions got it disassembled put the pad on and realized why WTF did I have to disassemble my gun when the screws are already visible? Then he leaves you with a disassembled gun and ends the video. Really my guy?
Yeah, jesus I wish I looked at the comments before installing my extended butt pad, my firing pin fell out and that was a headache to get back in the right spot. There seems to be absolutely zero reason to take the stock off now that, as you said, the screws are all visible without removing it. wtf KelTec?

Uhh money. It's like saying why not include rear tvs in every single car. Or every car should be equipped with a back up camera. Money dude... Not a hard concept to grasp

@@necavenue Wha!? I gotta look that up. I'm picturing one in my head but I gotta Google that. Sounds awesome.
@@eamonia Goto A3 Tactical and search for foregrips. They have several different models for picatinny rail.

COOL stuff..!!!
Works 100%..!!!
I have used - and VERY happy with it.
THANKS KELTEC .!!!
On my own, I changed it without removing the pins, and so on...
The butt pad simply pulls off and you press it back on by hand and you're done.
I'm sure glad you made sure there was no rogue ammo near your weapon cause they may load there self.

I get that its an extended pad, but does it help soften felt recoil?
That was easy.
Thanks.

Did it, easy peazy... : )
I thought he had an eye patch on. Mane was looking like snake 🐍 from Metal Gear ⚙️ Solid. 😆 Great video
Haha! I'm glad you pointed that out. Too funny, man.

I was wondering why take it off. I ordered the pad from Missouri Tactical. Same written directions without taking the buttstock off.

Why is there no video on KS7 field strip?
I know on the KS7 at least only the rear pin needs to be removed. Not sure if it's the same on the KSG.
Way to go Philip...lol !!!
Why wouldn't you make the GS7 with the better butt pad on it to begin with?
Uhh money. It's like saying why not include rear tvs in every single car. Or every car should be equipped with a back up camera. Money dude... Not a hard concept to grasp
What does the extended butt pad provide that the stock one doesnt?
Your shoulder getting beat to shit after blowing buck on the stock pad will go away.
Is this one extra cushiony for babies like me or just extend the butt's length?
You want the Missouri tactical pad. These keltec pads are hard as a rock. Pretty embarrassing excuse for a butt pad.
This should be included with the shotgun from the factory.
So if they have a better butt pad, just install them as standard equipment, instead of letting the aftermarket take over
Informative video. You removed stock, would’ve been nice to finish installing the butt stock. Now I have to go search for my manual. 👎🏾
The screws are readily accessible. Removing the buttstock is a completely unnecessary step.
Thank you for emphasising gun safety.
Hey, KT, make PMR30-alike in 7.62x25!
Your P15 is a complete fiasco!
No Ammunition in your pockets, correct
Why didn't you show re-assembly? Did it also take you half an hour to align those damn pins because the fitting af all the pieces just sucks?!
Cock the hammer first.
@@erikcrouch7881 not sure how cocking the hammer changes the fact that the holes for pins in the upper and lower are not aligned, but yeah, sure...
This idiot had me take the gun apart & loosen screws for absolutely NO REASON.
You need an eye patch!!
The lighting was definitely trying!
