Thanks for the assembly video. Great detail on getting the bolt in place. Bonus feature! Now I know what those two holes are for at the base of the grip.
Finally got a KSG and didnt pay 3x MSRP. Thanks for the video I was having a hard time trying to figure out how it went back together together, your video made it much easier. Now that I have done it I understand how to do it, but I was ablut to loose it for a min
Your video saved my life. I just got a KSG 25, I followed the instructions and took it apart. Super simple, cleaned it and went to put it back together....oh my god, putting that bolt back in correctly took me hours. Most of the videos online dont really show the "line" that has to be in the groove for it to go back together. Everyone focuses on the 90 degree turn and magically it reassembles. I struggled to get the bolt to stay in while putting the butt stock back in place.
It appeared from the video that the internal parts looked fairly durable. Fairly simple at least for the first layer take down. The whole package was small enough that you were able to get it all on video.. which is one of major features of this design. Still would like to see someone shoot a round of skeet with one these though.
Thank you! The bolt and taking the buttstock of the shotgun off was my problem. It acquires more force even with be oiled up. But, runs like a champ! The lining of the teeth is where I had the most difficult time at. I had figure that one out with my gigantic hands. Haha!
I'm brand new at shotguns -- and made a dog's breakfast of disassembling and reassembling the gun for the first time. Your video is the fifth one I've watched -- and the first one that clearly explains and shows what's involved in getting the firing pin properly installed. "Thank You" is insufficient for responding to your video!!
I dont mind a reasonable amount of thumbs down but when they intentionally come over just to thumb it down screw that or YOU TUBE should show who thumbs down a video and thumbs up a video and im sure it would be more honest of a rating,
This is a field strip, not a disassembly video. Disassembly would include removing the magazine tube springs, followers, barrel nut, safety, trigger, hammer, etc.
PETE, the next video in the series should be the ksg vs a regular pump shotgun shooting 15 rounds side by side see which one is faster. get one of the other guys working at the range to run the other gun and you can run the ksg. This will shut up all the troll haters.
yeah there hitting the thumbs down every time i do a KSG video if they have something to say there gonna have to write it in front of everybody instead of trolling with the ratings button
I wish mine were as easy to disassemble. Mine is very tight to remove the trigger section. I find I must pull the action back to remove the trigger unit. Even then it is still a little tight.
hey pete, I thought the shirt order was going to be on for a while the store now says new orders are closed, are you planning on doing anymore anytime soon?
Kel-Tec's offering is the best of the bullpups. Though i'm not a fan of Bullpup designs in general, if I was working in tight spaces, i'd have one for sure ! Also you get a much higher rounds count over other modified / shortened shotgun platforms. I'd get one today if it were semi-auto ^.^
I am having trouble with my KSG. rounds won't come out of the mag tube. They are hanging on the cartridge catch no matter how hard I rack it. The shells never drop on to the lifter. They extract just fine. Do you know any Gunsmiths in the Philly area that are familiar with the KSG that could fix this problem? The other issue is this is a used gun. Keltec doesn't honor the warranty for a 2nd owner even though the manufacture date is March 2016.
Just got the ksg and it does not like snap caps at all. It double loads and hangs up left and right... Many ppl have sent theirs back thinking something is wrong but it isnt... Its the caps
Thanks for the assembly video. Great detail on getting the bolt in place.
Bonus feature! Now I know what those two holes are for at the base of the grip.
hey, you really helped me put it back together again. This gun really needs a slide grip up front to eliminate the chance of any weak stroke.
why do people thumb down your KSG vids you're good at showing it off! i bet they're jealous they don't have one!

I can't even do it no matter how many times I try
I just purchased one of these today, glad to see such a well detailed video on disassembly for cleaning
ahh you can do it, its good that you learn too. we'd lov to see you do disassemble videos that be great
Appreciate your time and ease of instructions. I feel confident now.
Thanks.
Great video….easier to reinstall bolt if you turn the gun right side up. Thanks for the great tutorial.
thanks buddy your videos on the Ksg is what convinced to to buy it
It would have been nice, if Kel-Tec had said how to reassemble the bolt carrier. Thanks.
Thank you, finally got my KSG back together!!

Good training! Ready for Level 2 Disassembly/Assembly!!
Nice vid Pete. Though I'm not a fan of keltec I can appreciate you showing this on your channel. Keep em comin big guy.

This channel has saved me countless headaches. Much obliged! :D

yeah there hitting the thumbs down every time i do a KSG video if they have something to say there gonna have to write it in front of everybody instead of trolling with the ratings button
My FN P-12 and my Kel Tec KSG are my two Shot Guns of Choice. My KSG would be my favorite carry gun, if it were a carry gun. Darn, no gun is perfect.
cant wait
Thanks
That bcg is a challenge sometimes
thanks buddy

It takes down easier than I thought it would! I would like to get my hands on one. What oil are you using?
hey pete, I thought the shirt order was going to be on for a while the store now says new orders are closed, are you planning on doing anymore anytime soon?
Pete, do you like this as much or more than your Benelli?

For the life of me, I can't get that stock to go back on. I've followed all the videos I can find and it will just not go in.
Great trick to put the bolt back in, Thanks

How many rounds does this have?

Pete do you think "dry raking" it with snap caps would help smooth it out just like firing?
THANKS
Just got the ksg and it does not like snap caps at all. It double loads and hangs up left and right... Many ppl have sent theirs back thinking something is wrong but it isnt... Its the caps
Guess who just got a double feed with snap caps cause they wanted to make sure it cycles.
M PRO 7or Balistol
Great video even 10 years later
ekim did you find out if that's normal
i cant get thae back off hitting it as hard as posible plz help
Ratings disabled???
Does anyone have any tips on taking the KSG- 25 apart. Its mostly the same but something about the unscrewing the tubes with the quarters is different
Good vid Pete. You should name your ksg ". Troll slayer!"
I bought my ksg new and noticed I can rack it back without pushing on the release. Is that normal??
Safety off you can
This is exactly the same as the KS7 for those looking for a vid!
Take it apart or don't. Don't half step and tell us your going to do something 4 months later.
