Wow love the pace of the video sir any way to mount nd filter on the tele lens and any tips to buy nd filter to fit on the ulanzi tele and anamorphic lenses ?
The tele lens does not have threads for filters, I’m hoping they correct that in the next generation. I posted a link to the lens filter adapter for the anamorphic lens in the description. Thanks! I’m glad you liked the pace, I’m trying to make my videos as informative and to the point as possible. I’m trying to make videos that I’d like to see. Let me know if you have any other thoughts or questions! Stay safe out there!
I have no idea, I stopped shopping around because I was happy enough with these. I know that moment and sandmark are still making lenses. I think you can find these on eBay.
Awesome review ever on Ulanzi lens. However I have a question not discussed in your video. I like everything about Ulanzi lens kit except the mounting system. Although it is well strategized compared with simple annoying clipping ones of other brands, I still don’t want to replace my phone case with Ulanzi case (mine is over a year now and is perfectly protecting my phone and it fits with my Mag card wallet and still keep premium look which I think they are lacked in Ulanzi one). I liked the idea that moment and shiftcam made for their mounting system (i.e using just drop-in mount on the camera while allowing you to freely put whatever case you want). So I wonder, are Ulanzi camera compatible with those drop-in mount pieces (of moment or shiftcam)? Another, I am digging into internet to find the telephoto lens but with no hope (even Ulanzi official webpage doesn’t show it available). I will be grateful if you provided a link for currently available one.
I have no idea if they are compatible, my guess would be no, because most companies use proprietary designs for their products, we live in a wasteful society🤣🤦🏻♂️ As far as availability goes, I also have no idea, last I heard Ulanzi discontinued their lenses. I would check eBay but if you really want to get into mobile lenses, I would suggest going for a brand like moment, because they will probably continue making them, while ulanzi and others seem to be one shot wonders. It’s kind of a shame really, I do enjoy them, but I’ll be totally honest, the two that I use the most and will always carry are the wide and the anamorphic. They really do turn your cell phone into a pretty amazing content creating machine. Sorry I couldn’t be more help, but I don’t work for Ulanzi, good luck.
@@AlaskaPirates thank you for your detailed reply. About compatibility, reason for asking is I heard Apexel lens fits on Ulanzi case so I thought it might be applicable on drop-in mount of moment or shiftcam and thought that sharing my wonder would come across a hopeful answer. So sorry if my question annoyed you or something like that. I liked moment lens but as probably average people I am skeptical about the price. Thank for the advice though.
No annoyance. I too am skeptical of moments prices, that’s why I went with Ulanzi. I did buy a moment case and it does seem to be of good quality, but I have not used it heavily because I read that their cases wear out at the mounting point. I have had zero issues with the Ulanzi cases, they have been durable and functional. Have a good day.
I’m just doing it handheld, but I have an osmo3 that I will be using soon. I just started heavily shooting again, should have some new content in the coming weeks.
No! I do not use Facebook! I’m on Instagram and Twitter, the links to those are located on my RUclips home page, I post a lot of photos on ig! Let me know if you have ig!
It’s a few inches, the lens will auto focus and there is a “sweet spot”. At this time, I typically buy amazon basics filters, or I just select the mid range, but I typically do t want to spend over $20 on a filter at this time. As I further develop my skills, I will look into investing more in filters.
Was it difficult to remove the lens mount module? I like the Ulanzi rig and also have the beast grip which is a bit easier to modify and, and , and it does not cold in the winter or where you are. It is very well made and very adaptable. :). It is about 30 dollars more, but warmer. Nice review and very helpful. I did buy the 4 lens kit for the tele and the macro most of all. I am not a big fisheye person. I do have the new Ulanzi anamorphic design, silver, and it is easier to work with. Optically the same except a variation on the blue streaking. I also have Moment Tele 58mm and Wide Angle. I agree that the Ulanzi wide needs some work.
It was not difficult. I have a video that shows how I removed it. ruclips.net/video/Kb4JJotF22w/видео.html I thought about the beast grip, but in the end I went for the cheapest option, because I still was not sure about wether or not I was going to continue forward with mobile. As it turns out I love it! I travel a lot so it works. Thank you for the comment! So what do you think about the moment lenses in comparison? Would you recommend buying them?
Awesome review! Can I ask you something? Can you screw the lens to other cameras on phone? I have OnePlus 7 Pro - it has 3 cameras and preview product photos have the lens always on top camera of the phone. The top camera is ultrawide 16MP and I'd want to have it on the middle camera which is normal wide camera that has 48 MP. Thanks a lot.
You will for sure. From what I understand the super wide doesn’t like variable Nd filters. I have found being able to use the 1x and 2x works out. Let me know what you think!
Well they are both totally different lenses. I like them both for the uses they were intended for. I will say that I use the 65 a lot because it’s the style Iv been shooting in. I did however shoot a ton of macro for a forest like video, so hopefully I can edit that together, and post it so ppl can check out the 75 footage.
hmmm.. that's the only cheap option I can afford.. and if it blurs the sides I won't buy it.. Have seen many reviews of it.. I will probably save TONS of money to buy the Moment or Sandmarc.. :'(
@@AlaskaPirates Thanks buddy! Do you think I can record professionaly some walking tour videos? I already bought a gymbal.. but my iphone lacks a wide lens.. The borders will become too blurry and not professional with Ulanzi?
I’d go with the fisheye, mine looks better around the edges than my wide. I’d say that nothing any iPhone produces is “pro” but I’m a believer that content is king, so as long as the content is solid, I can personally forgive some lack of quality.
@@AlaskaPirates That's the same I think buddy =) With better video editing and the right ISO, lights and creativity we can bypass lack of money, lol..The secret is study a lot about design and trying not to be tacky.. Greetings from Brazil and thanks a lot for your review and tips ;)
this is a great video for Ulanzi case and lens details, thanks!
I’m glad that you found it useful! Thank you for the comment.
thank you for review. i buy the macro!
Right on man! Let me know what you think!
Great review, man! This was very helpful.
No worries! Glad I could help!
My shirts are all wearable napkins as well 😂. Your sweater looks like my shirts 😂

I've worked the slope in Alpine. Out delta junction and Bristol Bay. Loved AK. Great vid. My brother is married out in Anch
Right on! Thanks! It is the best spot in the USA 100%
Thank you fo honest review. I am also considering buying 65mm tele lens and macro lens.
No worries! I have them all and they all do a decent job, I am going to be exploring other brands though.

Too bad most of their lenses seem to be discontinued. 😱 Late to the party. Any budget alternatives to the telephoto?

I have the new anamorphic. Definitely tighter.
Sweet, I may have to pick it up. Thanks for the tip!
Alaska Pirates how are you holding the macro steady? have to get so close to use it.

Amazing quality bro ,planning to get Ulanzi macro 75mm
How far in estimation should the Macro lens be from the subject bro
Pretty close, I can take a measurement tomorrow and get back to you, but it is pretty close!
Alaska Pirates that so nice bro
Btw can I know what nd filter you use bro

which one do you recommend for first-person unboxings gentlemen?
probably the wide
Hi! 🖐 4:05 min Ulanzi?
What?

Depending on the case you get, on my iPhone 11 Pro Max I can screw it on to the 1x and 2 x cameras, but not the wide.
@@AlaskaPirates Cool, I took the risk and already ordered it, but hey...hopefully I'll get the same function.
