Fire up that M1 and use bootcamp, or play some crysis or better yet how about some Cyberpunk 2077. Crank up that DLSS and connect to an external ultra wide high refresh rate screen. Oh, I forgot we can't do any of that on the M1 with out significant limitations, and some not at all. These systems have 2 completely different user profiles.
@@justinbaker6406 while that is a fair comparison you also need to take into account that they are both within the same price range. Saying that you cant compare them based on user profiles is like saying you cant compare the performance an electric car to a standard gas power car because they run on different engine types.
I utilize Windows, macOS and Linux machines professionally and you couldn't be more correct. I think everyone needs to stop comparing M1 to x86 machines. They're completely different in terms of design and architecture. I know ARM and Apple silicon seems to be gaining headway, but I don't think it will ever truly replace x86.
I've always been a huge Windows only user/fan. But I got an M1 Macbook Air, and im really loving Macs for productivity tasks! I just wish bootcamp would support Windows for M1
Man want to buy a new laptop but I don’t know which one to pic, a MacBook or a Razer, I really enjoy play some games and I have some Apple products hahaha. Also I’d to see a Razer with AMD instead of Intel. Just can’t decide
Look into the G14. It has a powerful AMD chip and you can get it with a good dGPU. That’s if you want a solid gaming machine that can also be productive.
Are Mac’s still bad for gaming? As a designer it would make more sense to get a MacBook as sketch/Xcode is only available on mac. But I’d love to play games on a computer.
Honestly I don't recommend Mac's for gaming, If you gonna be doing basic or older games like pre 2009 It'll be fine but If you plan to do anything newer then get a windows laptop. Also note that some games won't support it due to M1 CPU being ARM and Mac OS not being fully supported by some stores like Steam or Epic games store
GPU and a real Thunderbolt beats the MacBook. I'm looking forward to the M1X machines to see how they fare against the Razer Blade because as a gamer, everything else the M1 offers is either lacking or bonus that isn't the main selling point for me.
I own MacBook Pro from 2014. It was a top spec back then and it still works like a charm and with 1k cycles battery still holds pretty well, and it still holds some market value! On the contrary, I work as an engineer and always worked with very expensive Windows workstation (like Dell Precision etc) - they cannot last more than 2-3 years, batteries sometimes were dying after 6-12months of usage, original accessories like dock stations - never work, always troubles connecting to external screen, you are getting used to regular random crashes, it’s just insane. Also, today’s Windows laptops aren’t cheaper by any means than MacBooks
As soon as Apple stick that 'M1X' chip in their 16" Pro, it's RIP every single other laptop. If it can double the performance of the M1 as it's leaked to do, it'll crush every single other laptop CPU, be up there with a 3060/3070 GPU, with 32GB of unified memory etc. 20-25 hours of battery, a single fan, the best trackpad/keyboard in the industry with the best OS. Apple are surely going to dominate for at least the next 5 years
I agree but it’ll never fill the gaming gap the PC laptops dominate in and Apple will always lack and therefore be inferior if gaming is your thing. Normal tasks and basic OS optimization is in option, better on the Mac and productivity/editing apps
Post 2020 it wasn't ok for apple to deliver a laptop without the minimum a hmdi dongle. But after 2020 it's OK for them to charge 80 bucks for USB type C to hdmi dongle lol. That m1 is so legit. I would've paid 2k for the same laptop
If you got the choice, don't pick the RTX 2060, it produces 10°C more heat in games while having 30fps less. Better go for 3060. If 256GB is sufficient for you, go for the macbook. For me the second m.2 was a must in the Razer, thats why I picked that.
What I never understood was, why Mac have the prices they do, but dont have the capability to play games. Even if the thing isnt meant for games, if you pay that type of money, you should at least be able to play games if you want to.
Bruh, why even buy both of those laptops, they are so weak in terms of performance. Just check something on Ryzen 7, those processors have 8 cores and are awesome. I've personally bought HP Omen 15 2020 this year, and dang, 8 cores, RTX2060, yes it's a bit thicker than the Razer Blade, but the cooling is just spectacular, everything runs on the highest clocks, plus it costs cheaper than both of those and has strict design. Cinebench 23 multi core score - 10152, if you need a powerful machine just don't buy a razer blade, it's too much to trade almost 50% of performance for a bit better design, in my opinion.

Flash drives are the future, so small & available with big capacities! About ports: The charging port need to get back to benefit from the usb c thunderbolt ports. From now & on should be usb c thunderbolt & it should have been before. The usb c thunderbolt oort should be at least 4 ports, at least for the PC/laptops with 14" & above! AMD equals no thunderbolt 3 support. Which equals it not really being a desktop replacement anymore. No thanks.. I'll stick with the hot running and slower intel, just for that reason. Thunderbolt is a must have.
You can say all Window's ultrabooks are that, they are not meant for intensive apps. The fact an MB Air can perform much better CPU-wise than Intel Ultrabooks means even if you are correct, it is still the better choice. Of course, in reality, the Razer Blade 15 will be competing with the 16-core Macbook Pro 16 when that arrives in a few months and that is the proper comparison. I expect the MB Pro 16 to make this Razer Blade look very slow and can only hope the next-gen Intel 45-watt arriving at a similar time can close the gap. Tests on the 35-watt variant are not promising so I suspect anyone in the creator space will easily choose the Macbook Pro 16.
Which exactly what happened 2 years prior back when Apple newly released iPad Pro with its A12X SOC put shame on most desktop and laptop CPU in the market. We don’t care if it’s just a tablet (SOC), it runs full fledged Mac OS and even managed to run x86 program faster than the native x86 CPU.

Yes I own an RB advanced with 2080 super, I also own an M1 mac mini, and a 16" MBP. These units should not be compared to each other, at all. These systems have 2 completely different user profiles.
chill
@@AnimeCabin maybe, but I wasn't wrong. 2 completely different system, and target users.
@@justinbaker6406 while that is a fair comparison you also need to take into account that they are both within the same price range. This comparison was more of seeing how much performance you can get at a similar entry price point. These 2 laptops are both seen as being “top of the line” for their respective brands.
We need the XPS 15 v M1 Macbook Pro
I've always been a huge Windows only user/fan. But I got an M1 Macbook Air, and im really loving Macs for productivity tasks! I just wish bootcamp would support Windows for M1
Windows is trash
Man want to buy a new laptop but I don’t know which one to pic, a MacBook or a Razer, I really enjoy play some games and I have some Apple products hahaha. Also I’d to see a Razer with AMD instead of Intel. Just can’t decide
I'm in exactly the same position 😅 - You decided yet?
Done yet?? Lmao...I’m also confused
Look into the G14. It has a powerful AMD chip and you can get it with a good dGPU. That’s if you want a solid gaming machine that can also be productive.
Razor blade 14 with a Ryzen 9 5900hx and rtx 3080
Nice comparison - I love my ASUS Zenbook with the i9 and NVidia with the Duel Screen OLED happy with the Productivity on Prem Pro !
Any ultra book that will handle 4K 60fps da Vinci resolve with relative ease?
i do gaming but i still need a mac for my job so is the mac ok for gaming
Hello hi
I wonder how do you get the background in your desktop mine stuck on razer background
Im torn between a mac mini m1 and a razer 15 from 2018... They both cost around the.same any advice? U.u

Thanks For Details & Healthy Reviews For This Laptop... Good Jobs ☺️
Intel trying to catch Apple M1 while the M1X (or M2) is about to be launched... this is laughable.
alot of programs are still not compatible with the m1 chips so dont get your hopes up just yet.
@@seanq9884 that just depends on your workflow tho
Have you faced any ssd writing issues in your m1 macbook
Are Mac’s still bad for gaming?
As a designer it would make more sense to get a MacBook as sketch/Xcode is only available on mac.
But I’d love to play games on a computer.
Honestly I don't recommend Mac's for gaming, If you gonna be doing basic or older games like pre 2009 It'll be fine but If you plan to do anything newer then get a windows laptop. Also note that some games won't support it due to M1 CPU being ARM and Mac OS not being fully supported by some stores like Steam or Epic games store
Honestly if you’re into coding grab a Mac mini m1 it’s cheaper and will get you in the flat form
I love your videos !
Pls do a razor book 13 review
what ones does better with the r5 and s1h files ?
GPU and a real Thunderbolt beats the MacBook. I'm looking forward to the M1X machines to see how they fare against the Razer Blade because as a gamer, everything else the M1 offers is either lacking or bonus that isn't the main selling point for me.
The 3070 in a laptop can't be anything like the regular one. That uses a huge amount of power and cooling. Even the die would take up half the space.
The mobile 3070 is right about below the desktop 2080 super. Still pretty kicking for what it is but not gonna be the desktop chip
Macbooks pro are good for work (lenovo thinkpad and dell xps are decent tho) windows are good for gaming this is how it is for me.

I have the 2060 model and it doesn’t go over 70C gaming the hottest day I’ve had it gaming it got to 75C
How about Huawei Matebook 14? It runs on AMD Ryzen 5 and 7
Just bought a Razer Blade 15 thanks to this video
What I never understood was, why Mac have the prices they do, but dont have the capability to play games. Even if the thing isnt meant for games, if you pay that type of money, you should at least be able to play games if you want to.
Which is better I want to do video editing on divinchi resolve ?
M1 is better
@@GooseyBoosey well macbook pro can't run games nor unity

@@GooseyBoosey yes it would definitely run better than some old gtx gpus. But why restrict yourself to that when there are rtx 30 or rx 6000 rtx laptops for cheap that support dlss ray tracing and performs godly.

If you dislike fan noise, use the Mac, if you want to play games use the Razer and some headphones to ignore the fans.
$1699 for the Lenovo??...That is Nuts.....get a Base Mac Mini, Samsung 1TB T7 ext. SSD, a curved 32" Philips 4K Monitor, a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse, a HomePod Mini and throw in a New 32 GB iPad (for basic mobile needs)...all for just a little over $1680.... that's a real value proposition in comparison....and when Apple intros the much faster Next-gen M-series SoCs, sell or hand-down the Mini and pop in the new "headless" Mac.
Which can do more that is the real question.
I'm wondering how the Razer Blade 14 with the AMD CPU compares with the M1 MacBook.
What I think reviewers, and maybe even Apple, need to do, is to call out every PC laptop for being what they actually are - all-in-one desktop computers with a folding screen. None of the current line of PC can do any kind of sustained work (or gaming) if you’re not plugged in.

thumbs up for Apple, smart playing on ports in this recent years.
same thing with the screen(not including touchscreen on macbooks) and keyboard dramas... even the little piece of screw.
All can turn into profit.

Mr "Everydaydad" doesnt talk about M1 using SSD space as Ram.
And on the Windows machines it doesn’t happened?
@@alinstancu1233 No, straight up no.
@@jpnzo2k12 This is not true. It's happened on all systems...
@@alinstancu1233 yes but you can configure more ram usually. Especially on pro machines. And it affects longevity of SSD life and macbook life since its soldered on.
You talk about thunderbolt? Can you attach a eGPU onto the mac?
This explains a llot why Razer is still not changing to AMD.
Sorry, but I use both mac and Razer, and as an IT engineer, the Mac cannot change my Windows PC.
And also, I find the Mac keyboard more mushy.
you are a bit too biased.
you need to de-ess your audio. I hear simbalance.
One thing that I think should also be taken into account is resell value. Used Windows machines are worth nothing whereas ANY Mac will hold a good resell value.
When i see this title i am like for value easy the macbook
For value is absolutely the Razer! Coz you can do everything the mac can do and evn play games at fantastic fps. You can also video edit very efficiently so its a better value
@@donaleemz
Yeah playing games is instantly a deal breaker. Better buy an Xbox with the money you save.
Also the Macbook Pro can do video editing efficiently while giving you much better battery life. So what’s the point anyways?
@@amanagarwal1939 the point is i rather have a laptop that can do both amazingly rather than getting a macbook that can’t even play games at decent fps! Sure you can get an xbox as i am sure you can take it around in your bagpack wherever you go🙃
Also i rather have a laptop that allows me to change my ram and ssd anytime i want! True freedom of modification! Not a laptop that literally enslaves me

Ok I have the 2019 Razer 2070 Max Q 64GB ram (I added) machine is super fast. Bought the M1 a month ago. Holy SheeeeeeT... Windows 10 now feels clunky to me, the trackpad on the Razer I thought was great to me now is like a 7 year old installed it and put it into the machine. Windows 10 clunkiness and blah compared to the smoothness and amazing M1 experience, I mean it is like night and day the difference between clunky Windows 10 and all the crap to a professional MacOS with the M1 buttery smoothness. OMG I never thought I would be dissing my Razer like this (I use a mouse with it now and use it for VR). RISC architecture is going to decimate the industry...Go M1!
Thanks for sharing your experience T, this makes my choice easier as I'm between a RB and an M1. I enjoy gaming but I want this laptop for work (manly Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint), and really like the sound of having a smooth OS experience. It seems like the M1 is just easier for work :)
@@NekoSmash Thanks Neko, the M1 is going to take over everything eventually buddy thats why Intel and other company’s are scrambling. The big difference is that the M1 chip has ram, processor and gpu directly connected to it so the connectivity is so fast that other disparate systems do not have a chance. Especially when it comes to rendering, Photoshop and everything you mentioned but it will also start to impact games and other software that take advantage of the M1 architecture. It is a great time to get into Apple silicon as well as their ecosystem. I’ve had my M1 Pro for almost 3 months now and its phenomenal. You won’t be disappointed. 🤟
I use to be an apple fanboy here, I believe your comment of," nothing compares to the macbook m1 on the market is inaccurate". The Dell XPS 15 and 17 are nice alternatives. The razer is overpriced and the keyboard has always been just okay.
The M1 MacBooks are more powerful than the XPS 15 and 17, have better keyboards, and have better battery life. And they’re cheaper. The M1 MacBooks even have better webcams than the XPS models.

I'm windows user & the choice is easy, just choose Apple M chips!
What is the use of multi thread test when M chips are fater than everyone? The M is an ARM architecture!!
The power of the current Apple M1 is not fully revealed because most of apps & AAA games don't support it! Just wait for it to be supported to be amazed!! I wish the success only to Apple ARM chips because they deserve it. They will help us pulling us fromt he nvdia & intel greed swamp! Nvida, intel & windows producing slow advancement tech with compatability issues products for insane price. Nvidia & intel are the reason I hated my MacBook Pro & switch back to windows!
I'm grateful to God to live & see this chip exist! This Apple M chips moments is actually as the moment as first iPhone released!
I'm pretty sure not only me going to change to MacBook Pro later this year when MBP reveals the beast inside, most of the people are If the PC industry not going to cach the ARM PC version race!
About storage:
I would suggest to buy the smallest internal ssd & use it only for OS & apps & buy a thunderbolt flash drive for production, same to gaming buy a thunderbolt flash drive for gaming, & so on! 2.5" external storage is physically big & it will take a lot of space for many projects & uses & think using as an external storage is a tech going to die soon. Flash drives are the future, so small & available with big capacities!
About ports:
The charging port need to get back to benefit from the usb c thunderbolt ports. From now & on should be usb c thunderbolt & it should have been before. The usb c thunderbolt oort should be at least 4 ports, at least for the PC/laptops with 14" & above!
This usb c thunderbolt is so amazing that when you plugin external monitor that supports usb c thunderbolt you can plug to that monitor the mouse, K/B & the headset!!
AMD equals no thunderbolt 3 support. Which equals it not really being a desktop replacement anymore. No thanks.. I'll stick with the hot running and slower intel, just for that reason. Thunderbolt is a must have.
I personally think the mac is more professional. Keep gaming separate.

Macbook is best 🔥
MacBook is basically a tablet .... With a keyboard .... And battery of a laptop ... Hence getting aggressive battery performance
And still competing with a razer blade 15 being basically a tablet
