Thank you for sharing! As an American living in Europe in weather similar to the UK, I have a tough time with laundry without a clothes dryer. Could you share your laundry routine in detail and how you make it work with so little clothes? We don't have a lot of clothes and it takes forever to get the clothes, bedsheets & towels dry as it is almost always rainy here. I don't know how people did it back in the day! We are a family of 5 with a toddler. I also only wear dresses, I'm glad I finally found a minimal wardrobe with only dresses. Also, if/when one has so little to wash, do you wash it by hand so as not to waste water and electricity & be more efficient? But then without a dryer it takes forever to dry!
You're welcome. I do washing twice a week normally plus my bedding and towels and I dry my clothes in my spare room on washing lines I have hung up with hooks and I also use a dehumidifier. They dry in half a day normally 😊 If you watch my spare room tour it will explain it and my entire house tour to see the changes I've made to the washing lines 😊👍🏻
I love your videos especially this one. As I am a minimalist mom as well, I wondered if you are going to share your daughters wardrobe. My toddler and I share a closet and have an even amount of items. I enjoy seeing minimalist moms on youtube
She has given me permission to show her room briefly but she doesn't want me to go through the stuff in depth like I do mine. She is 10 now so I always ask her permission and opinion if it involves her 🙂 I will briefly show her clothes when I do her room 🙂 She has a closet the same size as mine and does have more than me but not much to be honest. Most of hers is her school uniform
Thank you 😊 Don't stress, it's easily done and easily rectified 🩷 A tip I used when paring down is to give myself a set time frame, box up what I think I don't need and re visit it after that date to see if I needed anything in it. Another tip is to turn the hanger the wrong way around after you've worn something and then after a certain time frame, anything on a hanger facing the other way gets removed as it's unworn? Good luck 🩷
The box sounds like a great idea. Thank you 🙂. I will also look into making my items work for all our seasons as I loved your example! I remember the school run weather 😂 I home educate my daughter now and I love looking out and feeling relieved I don’t have to go out in it lol, one of the perks.
Thank you 😊 My advice would be to concentrate on your own inventory just to begin with. Leading by example and setting the wheels in motion is a great catalyst for change. And a little decluttering a day adds up 🩷 Sometimes it seems too daunting if we look at the bigger picture? Remember too, there are different levels of minimalism, find the level that works for you and your family Good luck with your minimalism journey 🩷
Thank you. I just wear my pj's, so jogging bottom type trousers and a tshirt and my dressing gown. Sometimes I'll wear the kaftans if it's hot as they are super comfy too
@@minimalismandmore Thank you. I watched the video again. I have a few more questions🤗 Do you work from home (don't go to the office)? How long ago did you come to this minimal amount of clothing? Were you sad that you got rid of the jewelry? Sometimes I feel sorry for giving away my jewelry and things
I've been dwindling it down for a long time now but I held on to my "just in case" items for ages. That made the biggest difference when I removed them. I'm not working at the moment but I have previously worn dresses like the ones I own now in an office but just with ballet flat style shoes. And other jobs I've had included a uniform. I used to collect acrylic jewellery and some pieces I paid hundreds of pounds on and I lost so much £ when I sold them but the relief when they were finally all sold was immense and totally worth it. It played on my mind a lot when they were in my home that I'd wasted so much money on them and no longer wore them
I have 50 denier tights for the Spring/Autumn time when they are needed and 80 denier for the Winter. I used to have 120 denier but I found I didn't need them often. If it gets really cold I will wear 2 pairs of tights to make 130 but I've only done this once before that I can recall 🙂
Hi, thanks for video. Can I ask, when you started to get rid of alot of clothes items what did you do with them? As I find it hard to part with clothing that I don't wear anymore, as I may have loved it once & worn it alot a few years ago but then I stopped for whatever reason so it's just stored for just incase. I can't get past this so I have way too many clothes.😂 Half of which I don't wear but they remind me of phase in my life that was good or cost me alot so I'm reluctant to get rid but I need more space for the things I do wear now. Any tips on parting with clothing?
To be honest, parting with clothing has never been an issue for me. I happily donate them to clothing banks or charity shops, even things I've paid a lot for. I love the feeling of passing on an item so it can be used and enjoyed by someone else. Especially people who may be in need of them. The few things I struggled with, I did sell on ebay. Try and remember that memories aren't stored in clothing and you can always look back on photos of you wearing them to remember the good times and by making the space you are making room for your future 🩷 Maybe try and sell the things you are really struggling with and use the money for something you'd otherwise not be able to afford or donate the clothing/profits to a charity that means something to you so that not only have the clothes given you joy when you had them, but also when you passed them on? Good luck with it and small steps are still progress 💪🩷

Hi 💜 I'm delighted with your wardrobe. Super minimalism. What do you wear at home (what kind of home clothes)?
It played on my mind a lot when they were in my home that I'd wasted so much money on them and no longer wore them
I just counted out of curiosity, and we have the exact same number of items. Seriously, we are twins lol.
🤣 it is crazy how similar we are lol
Do you wear fleece tights in the winter or is it a pair of leggings?

What do you wear around the house when you’re cleaning, cooking, etc? The reason I ask is because this is the problem I would have. Thanks.
Too boring for me
And you felt the need to comment!!!! Why? No one cares or wants to hear what you find boring. I personally find it rude.
@@melaniegodwin8791 don’t put crap out there if you don’t want a persons feedback
Hey that's fine. It takes all kinds for the world to go around. For me, the boring-ness soothes my adhd mind, and I am a lifelong artist and clutterbug lol

@@kathyesargent9088 I don't think she ask for your feedback. Just because there is a video posted dosent mean she needs your negative feedback. Like my mom used to say, If you don't have something productive to say, DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL
