If you invest in some merino wool clothing you will get through more seasons :) wool is cool in spring and fall and warm in winter. I buy wool t shirts for the summer as wool is also very good for controlling odor if I work out. A good place to look is REI. Sometimes they have returns in their “garage” section which are in good shape and very reasonably priced.
My only question is that can we please have more videos? Love the calmness of your videos and of course the minimalism inspiration ♥ Edit: I would change those "water proof" sneakers for vegan doc martens. They are great in the rain, chic and you can also wear them as winter boots if you add wool socks. I love tho wear wool socks that go high to my knee.
hi! i love this video. btw you can totally wear the skirts and dress in the winter. layer everything! get some fleece tights to layer on the bottom and put your shirts under the dress. also you could layer your rain coat over the fleece jacket. i really love what you choose and this is inspiring to me in my own wardrobe! thanks for sharing!
I live in Canada so I have four distinct seasons so my wardrobe is a bit bigger than yours but not by allllllll that much 😂 I don’t count activewear or PJs tho! But one thing I’ve decided is not buy any denim shorts this summer. I always wear denim shorts in the summer and they always make me feel insecure. So I’m just going to wear dresses and skirts since they fit me nicer
Jennifer, what a beautiful snowy view! I love how compact & functional/cute your all season wardrobs are :) Even though I have a small wardrobe, I wish I had wardrobe as small as yours - it's something I'd love to work on^^ Even the way you fold your clothes is so cute! I think for me it's bit difficult because I like to dress up a bit for work/events/dates, etc., but ultimately the type of wardrobe you have is my goal. They're simple but so cute & stylish in a humble/beautiful way. So good to see your video, hope you have a great day!
Thank you 😊 It’s easier for me to have a smaller wardrobe because I don’t have to dress up for work, but I love your dresses and professional clothes :)
I have leggings to wear under my skirts and dresses. Then wear my short booties like yours. Layering works wonders around here! Morning is 30 and at 3pm it can be 56. After a while you just adjust. But this year I'm more colder than in past. I'm so glad you're all doing great!❤💞
Enjoying your videos. When I was a teenager we moved from southern Alabama to Tacoma, Washington. I had zero correct clothes. I froze my butt off and remember my mom having to take me shopping immediately for warmer rain friendly clothes. I don’t remember there being much snow up there but it rained constantly. In summer it was cooler…usually than down south, like usually 70’s. However, occasionally we would have a crazy day where it would shoot up to the 90’s and with no central air it was 🥵. My advice, make sure you all have a fan in summer just in case. They will all be gone from the stores when that heat wave comes. And hey, you will have an adorable dress for that day!
Thank you 😊 Yes we are planning on looking for a window air conditioning unit, just in case we need it this summer:) it will be hard for us because we are used to always having air conditioning in the heat:)
As a minimalist myself having just one pair of shoes I can recommend New Balance 990v5. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. I enjoyed your video 👍!
Agreed with the weather statement. In E WA, we had a hi of 74°F, the next day it was 64, the day after it was 56, then next day we had cold, windy, rainy and it got down to the 40s. Current temp right now is 71, partly cloudy, and windy. Welcome to WA! 😆
PNW pro tip: wool socks 🧦 Some nice merino wool socks will make a big difference in your comfort. This time of year I wear the stereotypical socks with Birkenstock sandals, since it can be 35 in the morning and 65 by the afternoon.
It would be interesting to hear about what hobbies your family has. And if any of them need special materials. I myself have loads of creative hobbies, like playing instruments, drawing, painting, and more. And there are lots of other things I haven't tried yet, that I want to try. But I find it a bit overwhelming having quite a lot of material lying around. I'd love to hear your and your family's thoughts on that :)
Thank you:) I don’t have anything for special occasions. If it’s warm outside I would wear my dress. Because of COVID I haven’t really had to worry about special occasions.
Started watching your videos this evening. I just got back from Seattle a couple of weeks ago-- I was there for almost a month. I was staying right next to Pike Place Market. Most of my errands were in Belltown and Pioneer Square. Wondering how you and your fam are liking it. Curious about where your apartment is-- closer to Belltown or near International District? A bit curious about your job too. Do your kids like Seattle? There's a lot to love about that city, and there are a few challenging aspects as well. Good luck to you all! Stay warm. 💜 from Minnesota ❄️
Hi, no I wore the same clothes to work. I will be starting a different job soon that will require different clothes so I will so an updated clothing tour video soon!
Inspiring.❤️👍 Wish to have a similar minimalist wardrobe like yours. But long way to go coz need to declutter quite a lot of them.Huhu.. Anyway looking forward for you next video.😍
I am curious how have your hobbies changed since moving to rainy cold Seattle? I find it quite depressing in the PNW for most of the year (our summers are fantastic though).
Дженнифер, рада новому видео 🤗 отлично подобран гардероб) Интересно узнать о твоей новой работе и о том, как вам нравится Сиетл) Буду ждать новых видео 🕊️
Hi, I love your calming videos! They are so inspiring. One question for you is where on earth can I find your beautiful beige dress? I see that you mentioned it was from a shop called Earthenware, but I'm not sure where to find that. Do they have a web presence? We used to live in Tacoma and would travel down Interstate 5 to Seattle often with our kids. It's like another world there, so majestic and so much to do! But seriously, how do I get that dress?!! LoL Thank you in advance.
Thanks so much:) Yes it was from a shop on Etsy called Earthernwear. However; I think it belonged to the lady that owns the shop, she doesn’t actually make it. She does make many other nice clothes though:) She also has several dresses available to buy that were from her personal closet besides the one that I got:)
I have a question. What do your kids do for fun? I would love to do minimalism, but I have a 5 yo son. I'm struggling to convince him of getting rid of stuff.
Hola!!!! Do you have handbags or backpacks??? No accesorizes? ??? Hats, scarfs, sunglasses…? What is your job? Age?? If any of these questions you dont want to answer, no worries 🙏 Thanks and take care💕
Yes the vans do have a wide toe box, however I find that they hurt my feet after wearing them at work all day. I can’t wear zero drop shoes to work so I will probably keep tying to find something more comfortable:)
Jennifer, I also wanted to let you know (just in case!) that there's an excellent non-profit thrift store in Pioneer Square called Pioneer Thrift. I love it. My twin sister is a volunteer there. Recently, the sustainable apparel brand Eileen Fisher (lots of linen and merino) donated 1000 pieces of their clothing to the shop. I bought two EF linen tank tops in charcoal and black plus a sage green linen dress and dusky blue merino top that were less than $10 apiece. Just wanted you to know!
Tried the “about” section but couldn’t use e-mail there. Must be even less technical than I thought. Hope we can think of something. Would welcome suggestions.
We would love to contact you with some questions but as minimalists we don’t use the social media. Do you have e-mail we could correspond with? We really enjoy your videos!

I wish you could come to my house and throw all my things out😩😍 I’ve been watching all of your videos. You’re such an inspiration ❤️
Ha ha ha! My mom hates it when I visit her because I am always giving her suggestions on things she should declutter!
Putting the rain coat over your North Face makes it more wind resistant & even warmer!

Exactly what I thought as well
Thank you 😊 I will try to make them as often as I can:)

Hi 😊Thanks so much! For some reason I didn’t even think about layering, that’s a good idea:) I’m glad you like the video:)
Me too! I wear my summer dresses and skirts even in the snowy winters and wear jumpers over them and tights underneath.

Another great minimalist video! TFS. It inspires me to watch these types of videos… I need to continue to pair down my belongings.
Thank you 😊!!! I’m glad you liked it :)
You can layer your winter coat and rain jacket on top. Perfect for snowing days
Yes! I have tried that and it works really well!
I would love to see a video about your travel bag, your likes and dislikes.
I love this!!! I also have a minimalist wardrobe, but it is not nearly as cute as yours lol. Everything looks so comfy but also stylish. Great job!
Thank you 😊 I’m glad you liked the video:)
Omgosh! You look so slay in the coat with the hat and scarf at the beginning at the video! keep it up! :)
Thank you so much:)
I love your videos. Looking forward to the next one. ❤️
Thank you so much 😊
That dress is beautiful and looks great on you!

Great curated wardrobe!! Still cute, not too plain.😎

Thanks for another lovely video. Your apartment setting and. garden looked very Japanese to me!!
Thank you 😊 I’m glad you liked the video:)
Loving your videos. Here are my two questions for you: where in Canada are you from (I’m in Ontario) and what do you do for work? Thanks 🙏
I love your yoga skirts and the dress so much! You must have mentioned where you got them from in earlier videos :)
Thanks so much:) I got all of them on Etsy. The dress is from a shop called earthenwear and the skirts are from a shop called gaia conceptions
@@TheMinimalistFam thank you for sharing! I'll certainly look them up ☺️
Welcome to Washington :) I live in Bellingham and you guys should check it out if you have not yet. We have a lot of awesome parks!
Thank you 😊 we will definitely look into that:)
Love it.... what about occasions, festivals n all....
Thank you:) I don’t have anything for special occasions. If it’s warm outside I would wear my dress. Because of COVID I haven’t really had to worry about special occasions.

Can you please link your sports bra? At least I think it is a sports bra. It’s at the five minute 30 second mark.
Hi, really enjoy your videos and your adventures in Seattle :) I was wondering what brand your sandals and boots are? Thanks!!
Thank you! The sandals are from Xero shoes and the boots are vivobarefoot:)

Yes most of them I do :)
