I don't know whether to choose "carrier-dispatcher" or "carrier-owner operator" because we are owner operator but we are also dispatcher. What do you recommend that I choose?
What if we dont have dedicated drivers starting out. Can we as independent dispatchers negotiate loads from brokers then post to boards for o/o to call us and book?
no, freight brokers want you to book the load as soon as they mention the rate and pick up the load at the desired time. what youre looking to become is a freight broker. freight brokers post their loads and get drivers for the loads. you as a dispatcher call, book the load for the driver not, book the load then post it on the board. thats kinda like double brokering too. you book the load for $1,000 then post it on the board for $700 example.
