    I wish I would’ve found these videos earlier. You got some really cool videos man I appreciate how are you deep in you know diving deep and that’s really good.     The machine that I have is a older machine but you use what you have. I have been bitten by the facet bug bad. I have a bunch of stones that I have bought. Multiple types and various sizes. You have answered so many of my questions but I do have more, I will always have questions. Your videos are very informative. I like the way you explain while you are doing it. All I have been able to facet are the round designs. I have to figure out the ovals and others. Thank you so much for your videos. Now on to the next one and to learn something knew. Thank you

    Very nice result, a big up tick in your video production, and Jaws as usual gives an Oscar winning performance.
    I guess your design gets submitted to an approval body for validation and authorship

      Thanks Paul. I'm not aware that gem designs need approval. Most are designed on gem cad or gem studio these days. Often designs are created from mistakes made.

    This one is so exquisite ,I love the rich colour of it but I love red anyway lol..I think your start up to this was Brilliant Jaws looked so cute with his specs on ,and was so patient before eating his goodies ..It really made me chuckle ,nearly as daft as my dog who actually likes wearing clothes ,but she’s a bit smaller than yours ..Would be lost without mine 😀

    First time ever Ive seen something like this done, Its looks daunting 😰 beautifully done and you take a lot of care. Im just mainly surfing gems and finding out where we can take our kids rock picking, I may look at this a long way down the track if we find we want to delve further into cutting gems, but for now just happy watching you 🤗🤗🤗

      I enjoy watching these, I have a lot to learn about gems and am eager to learn not only where to go but what to look for, I have a few specimens from my husbands Nan, I wish I had of learnt from her before she passed but knowing what I want to do now, I realise I wasn’t ready then, I am taking my kids down to our local creek to just look around and see what is there, see if we can learn anything about what Ive been studying.

      Im south west nsw and im 2 hours in either direction of parkes/wagga/griffith, wagga lapidary has an open day weekend on 21st & 22nd of September, I am going to that and hoping to find a lot of information on everything.

    Have you ever done any Tin Crystals. I would love to see what they look like faceted? As kids we used to pick them up, most were broken but I was always fascinated by the shimmer they gave off and wondered whether they would retain that shimmer once they were cut.

      Thanks. You can buy the source material from a range of places. Ebay, China, gem shows. Prices can vary $23 a KG to $300 plus a Kilo if buying in bulk. Some of the blues and dark greens in CZ is expensive, but in comparison to natural gems very cheap.

    Cliff, Beautiful work!!!! I have a question. Do you have a separate set of laps you keep just for sapphire? Also, What do you use to clean your laps in between cutting!!! Cheers my friend!!!

      I would join a gem club. They would tell you the best places to get hold of faceting equipment and gems.

      I would suggest you join a gem club or a facting guild. Usually there are always start up machines for beginners that someone will sell.
