Despite cutting tribulations, the resulting gem has very nice scintillation play, especially for quartz.

As always your research and personal critique and Jaws POV...is most amusing. I ask...are any of the budget lapping machines good for a newbie. OR..Should one join a Lapidary club ?
I'd start with a Gem Club first.

What a beautiful Amethyst. That crown looks incredibly complex. It turned out beautiful. I will go back again to listen about the girdle issues and how you handled them. Thank you Cliff. Its was cool to see Jaws in action conquering the Orbiter ride while you conquering the Orbiter gem design.
Thanks Tam. The crown was so difficult, and it took forever to facet. I really nice looking gem.

Hello, most people can learn to facet a gem in a few months. About $1500 -$2500 to set yourself up.

Hi cliff, good to see you cutting gems again in your videos. Can I ask if you can use an aluminium master lap and diamond paste for polishing? You may of answered this in previous videos. Many thanks
Ho Tony, my master lap is a brass, the diamond paste is a pre polish paste. Cheers

Hi Cliff, I have been waiting for a long time and can't get my own machine, I am now trying to get a hall's machine made as gemasta keeps getting pushed back, do you know of anyone who has one for sale?
I don't know anyone that has one for sale. Very few machines around to purchase.
