I went to my local Ford dealer to look at a Ranger Raptor. $20k markup on the Ranger and they had a Raptor R on the lot with a $40k markup and a Braptor with a $30k markup. I went to the Chevy dealer and bought a Colorado Bison for $2k UNDER sticker. Ford dealers are ridiculous!
The Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison edition with all the offroad AEV goodies is literally the best deal out there for truly 4x4 overlanding-ready 4x4 trucks that can go on narrow trails.
When I ordered my Tremor last year (February), I was leaning towards ordering a Raptor. The local dealer said it may be WELL over 6 months for delivery if they even accepted the order. Although the Raptor has some clearance advantages, I'm happy with the Tremor and the front Torsen. Peace, Love!!

It’s quicker and cheaper - because life is too short to do everything yourself. 😀 I spent 12 years saving for my 22 V6 and I haven’t regretted it for one second. It’s already taken me to places I’d never dreamed I could visit. I know how you feel when you say your driving skills aren’t up to the truck’s capabilities. I’m definitely that way and I marvel at the truck’s ability to compensate for my weaknesses. My only complaint with the truck is that it’s too easy to be an a-hole. Merely being present in a Code Orange Raptor is apparently a challenge to the manhood of any nearby male driving a pickup. Tormenting BMWs and Jeeps is child’s play. For an old gray hair like me, i find it a struggle to maintain good behavior when I can just gently squeeze that right pedal and . . . .

Love it (had 2014 with a Whipple/full ICON suspension and a 2017... ) but went to a TRX (paid $81k for Level II loaded discounted factory order Spring 22' tired of addendums and endless R rumors.... 46k miles of hard use (pending fourth set of OEM tires!) but EVER "R" at a light or other "opportunity" in metro-Phoenix has driven Ms Daisy consistently. Seems to be a different kind of buyer that sits when they pee and wraps everything including their dog in XPEL film.
Take note TFL, that’s where those types of trucks need to be tested. JV, Anza Borrego! Not Moab or some forest road with sharp rocks. Leave those trails to jeeps and broncos

Is it just me, or does it feel like it's been forever since a Ranger Raptor video. Almost as much time as I've been waiting on mine to be delivered since ordering it over a year ago lol.
I'll be honest when it comes to trucks ppl live watching out. When it's out of budget, we don't care for it. Sports cars, on the other hand, are more appealing to us even if we can't afford it. Top gear the straight pipes to name a few.
That's my absolute dream truck, sadly I live in Europe, there's two Raptor Rs listed for sale relatively close to me, both cost about 230k € ~250k $ before taxes and stuff, needless to say I will never own one.
Quite a few comments stating that “nobody” can afford this truck. Yet, Ford is selling these trucks at rapid pace [days on lot]. What some people may be overlooking is that the curb weight of this truck makes for a prime choice when it comes to a business write down (i.e. hedge against higher taxable income). Here in Silicon Valley; buying a Rapor R proves to be an excellent counter to what would otherwise be a “money grab” from the IRS. Do people not grasp that starting a business and using legal tax efficiencies are at your disposal if you choose to pursue such opportunities?
Yes, right now that is the ultimate high speed off roader. GM has never even tried to compete and Stellantis quit even though they had the ability to offer up to 840 hp with existing engines. A shame really. Good job Ford, good bye Stellantis, shame on you GM.
Wasn't meant to be a truck for a regular working man. That's why they only make 10,000-20,000 of them a year. People complain about truck prices being priced like a house but forget housing prices have shot up 50% in the last five years.
For those of us who have the 23' Ford should upgrade the suspension and heads up display for the 23's, not more than a year and those are pivotal upgrades. I mean the truck is over 100k. Just my opinion....

Also recalls are actually a sign of a great company owning up to the mistakes and alot of times people don't understand that not all parts are made in house so you put your confidence in the chain of events that goes thru getting a part made for your specific application. It's like hiring someone as an employee and they never call in sick or make mistakes......wouldn't that be wonderful. But !...so instead of knowing thers a problem and making consumer pay . They own up !
Beautiful truck 🛻 but antenna is way too long. I drive my truck 🛻 into the UCSF hospital car park which some are 3-4 levels. My F150 Antenna touches the ceiling all the time and including my car garage door. Ford needs to change it to a shark fin or a shorter antenna please TFL. Please tell Ford.
The truck is cool. However, the fact that these trucks are all $100,000 is stupid. I don't see why they can't build us a functionally good truck with a lot less luxury. Prices of trucks are just out of hand. It's stupid.
It’s a beautiful truck. It sucks how dealerships take advantage of people and mark them up $40,000, very unethical from their behalf. I hope one day we can buy directly from the OEM.
This is of course an amazing machine. The issue is that all the Raptors are often so marked up that it doesn't make sense for anyone. The starting price is already a lot. I will never pay a mark up in my life. I'll be very happy with my new RHO in a few months. Don't need or want the V8 or the atrocious fuel economy that comes with it.

After essentially innovating the market of pseudo production/consumer-level 'super trucks' with the first gen Raptor, I'm still not sold on Ford really doing it best other than being first. The TRX pushed the bar up to extraordinary levels, but with either entry, the price point was borderline ridiculous for the people that really enjoy these options. It is somewhat comical with Ram's marketing towards the Raptor, then bowing out of the competition entirely just when things were getting interesting.
The TRX lost against a pre-refresh 37 pack in a desert race with the same driver behind both. The 37 pack before the refresh was the least ideal model for desert running. The driver even got extra practice in the RAM, and said he could have driven the Raptor harder.
Every truck review is followed by comments “oh my goodness, I can’t believe how expensive trucks have gotten”. No shit! Someone else comment something useful.
Here in Mexico some places are selling these for more than 175k USD if you want it right now, I honestly prefer a polaris or a canam and hava a regular truck to tow it, after all they are better off road than this truck and everything is cheaper if things go wrong
cars and trucks across the board have been rising in price faster in Mexico than in the US, about ten years ago the same car in the same configuration was about 10% cheaper here than it was north of the border, these days in most cases although cars in the US haven't gotten any cheaper if you compare like for like the same car is about 10% more expensive here in Mexico.
You should have brought the Cyber truck to do a side-by-side testing so I don't have to listen to my Tesla Kool-Aid drinking friends that the Cyber truck is superior.
Full pick up truck are available and affordable everywhere, all kind of brands. This raptor R is a super truck. The only truck in the world that is like this from the factory. So is supposed to be costly for what it is. I don’t see why people are complaining, no this will never cost 60k like you like. And on top you have inflation too.

You dont have to buy a raptor R for $120k. You could buy an XL supercrew 4x4 with a pretty stout motor(the 2.7L) for mid 40's.

After essentially innovating the market of pseudo production/consumer-level 'super trucks' with the first gen Raptor, I'm still not sold on Ford really doing it best other than being first. The TRX pushed the bar up to extraordinary levels, but with either entry, the price point was borderline ridiculous for the people that really enjoy these options. It is somewhat comical with Ram's marketing towards the Raptor, then bowing out of the competition entirely just when things were getting interesting.
The TRX was overpowered with underperforming suspension.
The TRX lost against a pre-refresh 37 pack in a desert race with the same driver behind both. The 37 pack before the refresh was the least ideal model for desert running. The driver even got extra practice in the RAM, and said he could have driven the Raptor harder.
Every truck review is followed by comments “oh my goodness, I can’t believe how expensive trucks have gotten”. No shit! Someone else comment something useful.
Here in Mexico some places are selling these for more than 175k USD if you want it right now, I honestly prefer a polaris or a canam and hava a regular truck to tow it, after all they are better off road than this truck and everything is cheaper if things go wrong
cars and trucks across the board have been rising in price faster in Mexico than in the US, about ten years ago the same car in the same configuration was about 10% cheaper here than it was north of the border, these days in most cases although cars in the US haven't gotten any cheaper if you compare like for like the same car is about 10% more expensive here in Mexico.
You should have brought the Cyber truck to do a side-by-side testing so I don't have to listen to my Tesla Kool-Aid drinking friends that the Cyber truck is superior.

Full pick up truck are available and affordable everywhere, all kind of brands. This raptor R is a super truck. The only truck in the world that is like this from the factory. So is supposed to be costly for what it is. I don’t see why people are complaining, no this will never cost 60k like you like. And on top you have inflation too.
I hate new design of F150 LINE UP, SPECIALLY the front facia and headlight design.
Ford will make 10 of them and dealers will mark every one of them up astronomically.
