I have waited SO LONG for this moment. Paz is one of the most misunderstood characters in the Metal Gear franchise, and her end is the simple cruelest thing a person can go through.
i find my self sometimes thinking about the tapes. and what she went through, along with chico. it makes me sad and sick. i remember listening to it on youtube (cause i had never heard of it before, and it sounded crazy. like why would this tape be in the game, its cruel but this must be fan made) and almost getting sick. never had a reaction like that before. i felt bad for the fact i disliked paz, and then learning what happend to her truly hurt & disturbed me. i know people say that raiden & big boss are the most tragic in the series, but paz went through something you wouldn't wish on satan himself.

Both of them have a "prequel trilogy" and the prequel trilogy is specially far more tragic than the first one, and they are tematically similar. If you think of it, The Phantom Menace is like MGS3 because is the origin of everything, Peace Walker is like Attack Of The Clones with its light-downed tone and The Phantom Pain is like Revenge of The Sith because it is the most tragic and serious of all the games throughout the Big Boss saga...

The spirit battle is literally a reference to her Peace Walker fight because the spirit does one of the moves that Metal Gear Zeke does which is why they use her Peace Walker design and not the either one of her other designs and people are going to make a joke because it's right there in the open and they don't understand that the name is the name of one one of Metal Gear Zeke's attacks
The downside is that his parenting was probably terrible and contributed to a lot of Otacon's issues, and him killing Skull Face took away the satisfaction from Venom and Kaz.

Looking back now, I remember questioning the Doctors statement (In the opening of MGSV) that along with fragments of metal, there was also human bone and teeth as well. Watching the scene many times from multiple playthroughs, if it was the rocket that caused the damage, then where did the human shrapnel come from? But with the notion of the second bomb on Paz not being discovered, then it explains the source of these fragments.

She wanted so desperately to let peace day come, see the people around her enjoy it, but her loyalty to Cipher had to come first, even if she didn't want it to.

She was almost a perfect commentary on typical moe-blob anime bullshit on top of the other themes of defiling peace. But even still, she was a great character. “Say Peace” still sticks with me to this day.

She was a hallucination in THE PHANTOM PAIN. Paz died due to the second c-4 place inside her. Sadly, the bone fragments and teeth Venom Snake has inside his body are her remains. He took the full brunt of the explosion when she detonated outside the helicopter carrying Big Boss, Kaz, Chico, and the Medic.
