- One of the most fascinating characters throughout Metal Gear Solid's history, especially when view from a developmental view point. As even with a name like Vamp, by the end of his story you could make a better argument that he's Frankenstein's Monster.

The funniest part to me is that, after all that you just mentioned, makes total sense both in-game and out-of-game context

EDIT: theres a chance it was said prior to that in a more obscure game, but i meant it was the first time it was said in a game published by a proper publisher and on a proper console

What's even funnier is that everyone attributes the line to Kojima, but from Kojima's own words, he only wrote the mandatory Codec calls while Fukushima wrote the optional ones. This insane line came from Tomokazu Fukushima.

Sexy vampires transcend all media. Although thinking about them reminds me of the origins of Morrigan's design.

Vampires are some of my favorite monsters in fiction so I do find Vamp pretty cool. I also find the idea of a vampire or vampire themed character in such a modern setting to be interesting because it open ups possibility for creativity since vampires are usually a fantasy or horror creature. Because of this, Vamp stands out nicely in my opinion

I just find it funny that this is the same franchise that has nuclear weapon tanks and a guy who says like the good old days after 911 And now a guy being named vamp, because he's bisexual. That's just the funniest thing ever And the best series ever.
Vamp kinda reminds me of the movie Cronos, his experimental nano machines being like the Cronos device which may give their user immortality but at the cost of their humanity
10:25 it should be noted this technically only explains why Vamp and the FROGs are able to walk on walls. It does *Not* explain why they can run on water. That is an ability of a completely different lizard, not a gecko. (Plus, that lizard can only pull it off because of its light weight).
So their is some supernatural stuff going on with Vamp
Always did kind of wonder if there was ever any piece of media, that basically had clashing aspects of both potential positives and negatives to achieving immortality, with the negatives being what was mentioned here and the positives possibly being stuff like the knowledge, experiences and memories, that could be preserved or passed down in ways that written word couldn't achieve, sort of like the perspectives on the dilemma that Sisyphus was put in.
And I guess to a certain extension, the same could be said for Vampirism. It's only a curse, depending on how you look at it.
I know MGS2 isn't as popular as Solid 5 and Rising, but I love these Metal Gear videos.
P.S. You seem to have been doing a lot of Raiden villains, so I'm beginning to wonder if you're gonna do Dead Cell and Armstrong before ninja boy gets a video on him

Yooo, when are we getting the Glory of Steven Armstrong. I’ve been waiting for years.
Vamp becoming more Frankenstein than Dracula makes sense within MGS4s playing "musical chairs" with so many of the roles in a way that seems almost contradictory, like Ocelot becoming Liquid, Raiden becoming the Cyborg Ninja, FOX becoming the Patriots, FoxHound becoming the PMCs, etc. It feeds into the starting thesis of the game, that War Has Changed, that it's become routine, that who is who and why they're fighting no longer matters, their identities and archetypes rendered meaningless, nothing more than corporate logos, on the scale of individuals or of tribes and nations.
