I really had hopes that BF2042 would bring back the elements that made BF4 and BF1 so good. The vehicle gameplay from BF4, the immersion and gunplay of BF1, and the chaos of double the player count should have been an easy A for DICE. Instead we got Hoverfield 2077. Even a year from now when the game's been patched and all that jazz, I'm still never going to touch it.
@@oldlavygenes I don’t think 128 players would’ve ever worked, the original DICE team that worked on the masterpiece that is BF3 said they tried that player count and realized it wasn’t fun and it wouldn’t work. Unfortunately that team is long gone now 😭
@Bastian 111 Early BF1 was a banger for Infantry main like myself cus Infantry can single handedly destroy every vehicle in game. well until those heavy bomber and plane buff.
@@usernamealreadytaken9330 Personally I think every battlefield from 1942 to BF1 had their charm and great design. It is sad to see that with BFV and BF2042 the DICE we knew and respected has been replaced by a weaker, disorganized, and untrustworthy team. Literally the only thing saving 2042 from being a complete failure is the portal mode that lets anyone play the highlights of the old games. I truly think Bad company 1, 2, BF3, BF4, and BF1 were the peak of the series. BF1 had the best rifle gameplay of any battlefield game ever, bad company with the best campaign and best destruction, BF3 with the best weapon gameplay, and BF4 with the best vehicle gameplay. From what I see BF4 and BF1 still are holding strong with their servers so hop on in any of the games you like there is probably an open spot with other people there ready to play.
the music, the landscape, the gunplay, the hit register and the satisfying kill effect, EVERYTHING ! How did they go from this to BF5 and BF2042. HOW ?
Still play this game almost everyday, servers are still running, i suggest everyone that hates bf2042 just go and play the battlefield we love no matter what the meta is
@@rufusmatthews6244 yeah, but one of the biggest stepback for me was the specialists' lines "I am not overconfident... I am just better than everyone else" "Well well well, that was fun" EA, this is not Apex Legend, this is Battlefield. What the hell are these cringe gen Z tiktoker lines ?
@@patrickfelix1387 it's the trend of the whole AAA industry now i guess. This is what happens when companies have idiots in charge who have no clue about gaming and only care about money
*There are 12 Medics nearby* Me: Alright... Anytime now... *There are 13 Medics nearby* Me: Alright... Should get revive soon now... *All Medics run past me* Me: Goddamn it guys. I cannot even make a video on BF1 if they keep me rotting :(
let's be honest here...as a guy who studied WW1 big time if Dice were to put realistic trench warfare in Battlefield 1 your death would not come by the enemy but by rats and mud
Also EA holding back content for DLC? Who ever heard of that? That's just utter nonsense! Ohh well at least they copied Overwatch's (and probably many other games) lootbox system.
jaedyn Playz Yeah I know that and why are you calling me a dumb ass? Go on a PC right now download tf2 because it's free now and then buy overwatch, the characters look different and have a different back story but there weapons/abilities are pretty much taken right from tf2. If you play tf2 there's a game mode I don't know the name because I haven't played much tf2 but you defend you base against zombie robots and overwatch completely copied it from tf2. Your the dumb ass here not me
They should've implemented a multiplayer mode called trench rush where you start from two trenches on opposite sides with rifles only and you have to try and overrun the other trench position
sugaquaks lol can't make everyone happy . simply ask yourself is 60 worth the buy. 6 hour campaign 100s of hours having fun on multiplayer. shit, I spend more then that takin the family to eat.
Well, that is actually a good thing. Apple is losing sales every time they release something, if it continues that way, Android will soon overtake it :)
StoneMountain64 stone mountain loved that face off you did after the BF1 reveal. forgot who you were going against but that vid was funny as hell. I GOT A BLIMP I GOTTA BLIIIIMP!
You know what the greatest feature of this game is on PC? A fucking main menu instead of having to use battlelog and have the game take forever to load on account of it having to fucking reload itself every time you wanted to switch servers. Whoever thought battlelog was a good idea should never work in the industry again.
It also bugged out for weeks when i tried to migrate my progress from ps3 to ps4 and I had to start over from scratch. After it was fixed I got all my battlepacks back though. Like 150 of them
Yes but you still aren't able to edit loadouts, logo, or even dog tags on the main menu and have to do that either in-game or on their website. It's baffling why they couldn't just add this stuff to the game.
@Scott Christiansen You could but they were having problems with the load outs not saving and thus removed the feature before launch. They've since said they will add it back in and are expecting it soon.
Yakasuki it is very painful to use , sometimes my game will disconnected itself even my connection is good , after that , i cant even join another server as it says "please close battlefield 4 and try again" , wtf , you're the one that close my game and now youre saying its still running ?! bs af
The only bad thing about bf1 in my opinion is the overuse of automatic wepons likr every game 80% of the enemy team are players with MP18s and Automaticos etc
Anyone having trouble with this game I recommend watching thebrokenmachines settings video. I thought I sucked ass but there are alot of settings that can fuck with your skill like aim acceleration and deadzones. My kd went up like crazy.
If this was like World war 1 you would be in trenches for 90% of the time and be dying to diseases, and instantly die on the battlefield ( No man's land)
AyeItsMUS That last part was only on the Western Front. There are many fronts that are not included (which I hope will be free DLC) like the Eastern Front and the African Fronts.
Soooo there's no middle ground right? it's 100 percent accuracy and it's boring or it's this disgrace so ea can claim to make a revolutionary WW1 game without taking into account the modifications they have to do
Joe's reviews for games always sum up exactly how I feel, I felt something was missing despite how fun it is and Joe nailed it better than I could have.
Well I for one would rather have a game that works at launch but doesn't have a shitload of weapons and attachments, than a game that doesn't work at launch but does have a shitload of weapons and attachments. Yeah I'm talking about BF4.
Not true this one went far right or left as a Battlefield game the last true Battlefield game was probably Battlefield 2 and even bad company 2 when we had aircraft carriers multiple crew bombers landing pads and aircraft hangers and commander mode BF1 was tbh a good immersive experience when playing without hud
They should have done 2 characters for the campaign, for example one English and one German. You get to see both perspectives of the war. You learn that both sides are practically the same, fighting an unknown enemy for unknown reasons. The only thing that changes between missions is the flag you fight under. The whole campaign should be a build up of intensity as the war grows increasingly more gruesome, getting you more and more involved in the lives of these men. Then, in the second to last mission you get to know that both main characters will be getting send to the same front. In the final mission you get the orders to do a full on assault on the enemy line. This is where the player gets confronted with the reality of war: shooting at men no different to themselves. You reluctantly charge the enemy position, knowing that probably only one of the main characters will survive the encounter. After this mission you play it again but now from the other perspective, you try to hold the enemy off as long as you can, seeing the comrades you had the entire campaign die all around you, helplessly trying to survive, only to be killed meaninglessly like so many others on the battlefields of WW1. It would show the true sadness of war in a much better way than it tried to do with the BF1 campaign. It would also show both sides of the war, something BF1 also missed out on. With a campaign like this you get the chance to cover all fronts, like dice did with BF1 but in a less generic way, and still get the grand finale with the hellish trench warfare which people wanted.
if youve got an english soldier in the campaign you can basically get any of the english fronts in there, make him fight through gallipoli, the african front, the middle east, i mean, it takes some creative storytelling but it can defenitely be done. with the german you can cover the eastern front vs the russians, the balkan and italian front. just make their divisions get send around the world just like it was done during the war.
I noticed that too. It actually caught me severely off guard when I stopped to listen. It's probably one of my favorite things about the game right now, and I mostly like it.
Oh hell yeah! The soundtrack is BADASS! Its one of my favorite BF soundtracks, with the great return of the Battlefield theme and that sad Macedonian song that plays in the menu and a few key campaign scenes. Very good stuff.
I think a trench to trench game mode could have been done, both teams start in a trench, the whistle blows and they both charge. You get one life and the round is over when one side kills the other and then it restarts, it should be somewhat fast paced.
I was thinking a game mode like that Trench Warfare, two teams of 16 in trenches with no mans land in the middle. Everyone has bolt action with the occasional assault, as well as AI
RushGamma Smart Idea but the one life is kinda bad cuz it's bot realy fun...for a battlefield game yknow maybe 10 life or something but it's a very good idea beside that ^^
Sam Statham That's why you capture the bird first because you're actually writing the message while you hold it If you think of it this way you're just fighting over a bird so you can attach the letter in the first place
it is not historical concept of this mode. when bunch of people chasing one pigeon and its little funny tbh. but its fun to play and dice couldn't make that mode better in my opinion.
+theundeadranger10 pigeons are trained to go back to only one place. A British soldier capturing it for 10 minutes isn't going to magically train it to go back to a British base just cos the letter it's now carrying is in English
+A. Norman and that kind of realism wouldn't be that fun In the game the game mode world just be pointless if it was one team defends the pigeon while the other attacks then maybe it would
If the game was 100% historically accurate it wouldn't be fun at all. You would sit in a trench and shoot off a few shots before you inevitably were killed.
a creative dev team could have still made it enjoyable. staying true to history or source material while also making it fun somehow. thats the mark of a skilled developer. no one is asking to have 72 hour long game sessions where you sit until a grenade blows you up. just something that tries new things and manages to make it fun
Depends on the setting. In Europe yeah but in middle-east and certain theatres like the alps, fighting was much more mobile back & forth sort of business.
People aren't asking for 100% historical accuracy. They just want the setting to feel authentic. It's the same as making a new Battlefield 1942 but most of the planes have jet engines.
Both sides did use machine guns in WW1. The guns just took 4-6 men to operate and were mounted on turrets. Nobody could run-and-gun with automatic weapons until at least 2018... which is when the war ended.
Why people complain about this game not being Historically accurate? You can revive a dead guy after being shot in the head by putting syringe up his ass. Historical accuracy amirite?
Historically *immersive*. Would you be cool with BF1 having Abrams tanks and F16s? Of course not. It would destroy immersion in the setting. That's how some people feel about there being a preponderance of certain weapons. That position isn't invalidated by abstracted game mechanics. You wolly.
u seem to have double standards. Some things u say ruin the "historical immersion" whereas other completely unrealistic things like reincarnation & "being able to take a few bullets" with little consequence u accept without question?
nah brah, COD 2 was the shit, and MW4 was The shit. WW2 is re-skin Saving Private Ryan nah, it;s just boring. little innovation. BF1 has Operation Mode , play for many hours. sure Arma 3 is More "realism" but BF is MORE realism than COD.
Dodalalal91 ww2 is a reskin of previous cod which is a good thing. And bo2 is only good at multiplayer and some what zombies (nothing compared to bo1). But I played all the battlefield and I see no different in the 2 except with the snipers, larger maps, And vehicles. Battlefield turned to shit after 3, 4 was ok, and bf1 was alright the campaign was great but the multiplayer was so bland and boring. Sure operation is fun But once you play all the maps for awhile it gets old. But I'm a fan of everything I do enjoy cod and battlefield and they're both casual shooters so to me they're the same.
Dre Walker not bf1 but 4 and 3 had the best multiplayer and I had more fun there then cod but not bf1 was only fun for me for like a month. If anything rather play their other games like star wars battlefront 2.
This was the easiest setting ever where you could have played as the opposing side for once in single player and they squandered it. The Central Powers weren't run by evil dictators, they were just countries protecting their allies or their interest. I'm really disappointed we didn't get a German, Austro-Hungarian, or Ottoman mission.
I was to, but at least the campaign didn't vilify them. I'm willing to bet most kids nowadays can't tell the difference between the German Empire and Nazi Germany. The ending of the prologue clearly paints them as human just like you, and in the air mission where your trapped in the trenches, if you listen to the conversations its really humanizing. Its not terrorists bragging about killing people or Russians that can't wait to destroy America or whatever. Its people talking about food quality, scared of elite units just like you, and even a guy asking a friend to spell check his story about a dog. I still would have preferred a Central Powers campaign, but at least they didn't make them evil.
Critz Xtremus Yeah I remember that horrifying article on Gamespot, you know, the one where EA said they almost didn't do the game because most kids didn't know what World War 1 was. Even though it only takes a brain cell to realize something called WORLD WAR 2 must have had a ONE before!
Tyler Bioshock R I simply learned through reading a book.. you know a piece of leather with numerous a5 pieces of paper inside called "The great war" but kids are too hung up with iphones and wanting to fit in with the current trends that they feel being stupid is the best way forward
Critz Xtremus I know right? I got interested because I had family in the war, so I got this 20 hour documentary called The First World War. And a 1000 page book about the Great War. Walked away knowing quite a bit. And then I ask a kid about 12 what he thinks about World War 1, and he responds by saying Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. I then get depressed.
It's funny but I think BF1 and BF4 are sharing the same fate gut reversed. BF1 started out great but slowly gave way to an array of problems as DICE patched the game. (nade spam, mortar spam, gas spam, basically all kinds of explosives spam, support class being weak, vehicles being insanely OP) Where as BF4 started out as a buggy mess but slowly became one of the best multiplayer shooters you could buy as it was updated.
oh, there are french in this game, its just dlc yeah, i gotta pay extra to play as a French soldier in ww1 game, when the french are the biggest deal in ww1 *PFFFFFaaAAARRRGH* *angry gibrish*
Ah, yes, like Battlepacks actually matter to the game at hand. Stop being picky, just because they want a little more money for something that doesn't affect the core game in the slightest doesn't meant they're getting greedy.
You do realize that the value of the dollar has gone down so prices go up but as you see video games stayed at 60. Most of the time they add micros transactions and paid dlc to make more money to keep up with inflation and to keep the original game price down.
Captain Crary you realize theres something called supply and demand. More people are buying games more than ever. A game that was $60 back in 1985 is equal to $90 now, but a lot less people were gamers back then.
I know right? It's funny most COD fanboys say Halo is too casual, yet the vehicles there that spawn have to first be found and then mounted by the player.
Bob Jackson Lol wtf? First of all, you have no way of knowing what I like and you can't tell me what I like. Second, the ironic thing is yes I actually do play several different modern CODs. My favorite recent one is Black Ops 2. You can like both Halo and Call of Duty separately and equally because they're different fucking games. EDIT: When I say "recent", I mean it's the most recent one that I think was really nice and wholesome. Black Ops 3 didn't feel so great for some reason.
These Operations in Battlefield sound familiar. You mean to tell me they have "Operations" here, but they couldn't handle putting Galactic Conquest in Battlefront? I'm calling bullshit. You just KNOW this shit is gonna be added in Battlefront 2 (EA).
yipyipmingow Dude just face it. This game is a carbon copy of Battlefront. This game is shit. The fact that Angry Joe doesn't find this worse than Hardline blows my fucking mind. EA must have paid him to not go too hard on them.
Lord Krishna Bf players are a lot more worse. Go to Bf1 trailer and IW trailer and take a look at the comments. Nothing can top that douchebaggery, not even some CoD ragequitters.
Crimson464 "more worse" lol The trailer for the upcoming CoD game deserves every bit of hatred. It's shite. Looks like the same garbage they've squirted out the past years. CoD devs don't give a shit about what their fans want, they just want to keep the cash train rolling. Pointing this out isn't a bad thing.
Lord Krishna You obviously don't know about the fact that Infinite Warfare has been in development since Advanced Warfare. They aren't just gonna quit something just because some people are displeased with the futuristic settings. And yes, I wrote "more worse" because I can. I could've written "even worse" but with this I wanted to point out how bad these fellas are. Feel free to correct me anytime, tho.
They chose fun and gameplay over realism. A very good choice imo. Battlefield is not a simulator. It's multiplayer action game. It should be a realistic FUN experience not just a realistic boring / frustrating experience.
Jipsy Jeepies Lee Enfield has the same reload sound in real life. They both used stripper clips which make the nostalgic ting when you load up. however the Lee Enfield had a detachable 10 round magazine.
Jipsy Jeepies It's just common sense, I own a Lee Enfield No.4 MK1 and a Turkish mauser, both are bolt action and both can be fed with stripper clips. No need to get offensive
MISTA FLIPPY IV No the Russians are definitely second, how do i know that? That's because we have the first name of the DLC already confirmed which is called "They shall not pass" which is going to be the French. battlefield.wikia.com/wiki/Battlefield_1:_They_Shall_Not_Pass
Matches would be 72 hours+ of sitting in at trench, after which you would die of a gas grenade or get shot immediately when the order to charge comes. *fun fun fun fun*
Not really i mean a games depth is definitely under the quality category. BF1 has very little depth. With no way to learn the recoil due to the huge bullet deviation and the absence of a progression system, the game gets boring fast.
If AJ thinks that this is 8/10 and for some 7/10, I feel sorry for the upcoming shooters.. With this new level of quality set by BF1 hardly any of them should score over 4-5/10... lol
Previous battlefield games did have a lot more content. There's even less content than Hardlines base game to be honest. The content here is AMAZING don't get me wrong. But it sucks that I have to wait months until the first dlc of the season pass comes out
Luisl20 Dude, with all respect, are you nuts? Prototype guns, black German soldiers on Western Front? Verdun is waaaay more realistic/historically accurate than BF1 will ever be. Actualy i like them both, BF1 is an fast-paced arcade shooter with vehicles and Verdun is an indie game, made by 2-3 people, it is more focused on the actual "trench warfare" and it doesn't have semi-automatics at every single mile.
Zac Alizada However the only thing that bothets me if i play Verdun is to see fucking Americans using B.A.R & shotguns at fort du vaux. Really historical accurate...
Game is 4 years old and to this day BF1 still holds a special place in my heart. I loved the soundtrack, gameplay, multiplayer was addicting and for a while alongside “DOOM (2016)” it was one of the best FPS games I’ve played in a long time. The game has aged like fine wine, and will be remembered for years.
No France, No russia. You should have mentionned it (besides just the intro and the season pass), because in terms of lack of content, that's a HUGE one. If Germany didn't go though belgium to attack Franc,e then neitheir the US nor the Uk would have participated. And without Russia, then it would just be a war between Asutria-Hungary and Serbia...
Russia was a country long before WWI, the only difference was that it was a kingdom, which changed midway through WWI when the people rebelled and turned Russia into a Communist nation.
Corn Marketman I didn't know that it happened in 1918, but even if the revolution forced them to leave the war, if I hear "WW1 Game", I think russia is part of it. I mean, Tannenberg, the fucking Brusilov offensive. That's as much part of WW1 as Verdun... I get your point, but it's no excuse.
Realgigclin They've also added a ton more modes. and weapons, maps (if you own the DLC) so still 8/10. maybe even 9 for some. i give it 9, personally. I love WWI and WWII shooters.
Verdun is the ultimate WW1 shooter. The weapons have almost spot on accuracy. The maps are amazing, the devs actually traveled to the battlefield to make the maps. Also, the trench warfare is amazing. Instead of running around on a map, you are tasked to stay in the trench and hold it, and if the enemy sucks enough then you push over the top and try to take their trench
Andrew Mercado No, I actually love Battlefield One. Don't take it that way I think it is very fun... Im just saying if you want a realistic shooter go get that one, if you want to have a fun time with your friends get BF1
It's also really fucking boring. I hate the fact that every single weapon in BF1 is either automatic or a sniper but there is a lot of middle ground between that and the snorefest that is Verdun. A fast paced bolt action battle rifle based game would've been sick. This game would've been awesome if there was more authenticity.
Lochlan I can see that; If there arent enough players or you are on a big map it does get boring, if you want to see it get sped up, play on Argonne on a full match (32 players) It turns into a giant pile of bodies :)
No, this is my favourite FPS by far. Love the guns, love the sounds, love the maps, love the everything basically. Can't wait to see what easter eggs they will include :D
Brennan Palm I love the weapons, but they could have added more. They added a joke gun Kolibri, so its not like it would have been hard to do. I do feel Joe was right when he said ranks 4 to 10 just feel lacking in terms of progresssion.
not sure how you can be ok with it. there are only like 4 guns per class and many are just horrible. theres no reason to use half the guns in each class because they are objectively worse than other ones.Support weapons in general just suck
How??? Don't get me wrong, BFV isn't accurate either (and a bad game regardless). But this?? running around in a mec suit and mowing hundreds with a minigun??? everybody running around with full autos like call of doodoo? just stop. Both were made for fun. If BF1's inaccuracy didn't bother you, BFV's shouldn't either. I don't play BFV because it's a shit game. Not because of this bullshit.
Anotha One You're so right. Battlefield 3 was to me the last good Battlefield game. Sure Battlefield 4 is good but it doesn't feel right compare to Battlefield 1/3
It's too similiar to WW2 in that BF1 is mostly about blitzkrieg and not so much trench warfare. The the weapons, maps and vehicles are correct, but could've been nerfed a bit for realism.
LordVader1094 Dude it's just a game. It would be boring if it was just bolt action rifles, machine gunners who couldn't walk and shoot well backing them up. I hope we get a Battlefield Civil War game, where we get semi automatic repeaters, and quick loading revolvers, and run & gun gatling guns. Siiiigghhhh, I know Battlefield games aren't 100% authentic but I feel they at least represented their units and warfare good enough. People say they're sick and tired of modern combat shooters, but then cheer when they play this, which is played exactly like a modern combat shooter. Im disappointed in DICE design decisions but I shouldn't be surprised. Ill be looking forward to Rising Storm 2: Vietnam
New mode:Trenches Teams:2 They are two teams one is defending the trench one is attacking. The team that is attacking cannot stay in trench because you are gonna die because of deserting. Attacking force has three tries. And the defending team have mounted machine guns and there would be 3 machine guns. You will get weapons depending on which side are you for example russian-mosin nagant English-enfield mark 3 german-geweher 98 austro Hungarian greener m95 and Italian Enfield MK3 if they add carcano then carcano. Also there will be some rare events like when there is Christmas in matches would be Christmas peace between French German and English soldiers like you could play football. I think this would be great gamemode
Just wanted to say their was no truce between the French and German, just imagine a foreign invader invading your currently and destroying your towns and villages and suddenly wanting a truce
Yeh, Joe is awesome when he got #1 RUclips Game reviewer i was like YEH!, thanks Joe for all your time spent trying to give an honest opinion about a game unlike some other sponsored reviewers
I feel like the team at DICE missed a big opportunity on a game based on WWI. The campaign followed the least involved sides of the war and never went outside of cookie cutter missions. Yes BF1 needs to have a familiar multiplayer for fans so they could base the multiplayer on the end of WWI when all the tech was involved. But the campaign had so much opportunity to really shake a person. Imagine the first 3 missions just you fighting in trenches and then on the 4th mission out of nowhere you have to fight a tank with NO antitank weapons and ha e to think of a solution on the fly. Or how about the first mission where you play as the French army and have to march across open ground in brightly dressed uniforms while the Germans are shelling the hell out of you. BF1 favors the power fantasy instead of the horror of WWI
Nathan Hill DICE did fantastically! Albeit, we know ALL about the war that went on in Europe! This was a WORLD war, so DICE did the war justice and shone upon the less involved parts! In no way was it historically accurate though.
Caydenthehill You are right, that already came out. I meant Battlefield 1944 (google it). A lot of people thought it was going to be yet another WW2 game.
If it wasn't for the forced political correctness down our throats, I would've bought this game. Playing as the German Empire in a European map and seeing half your teammates running around looking like Africans, is the most immersion breaking thing ever. Not to mention the semi-auto weapons that never existed outside of blueprints. And of course, they chose to hype some random African American unit that fought for like 6 months, rather than the French Army - who are nothing but a DLC. Is the game fun? Yes. It looks great and plays great. But it is frustrating for anyone who expected a WWI shooter. This isn't WWI. This is more like a Steampunk shooter, but lacking everything that makes a Steampunk shooter enjoyable. Back to Verdun.
John Highway hopefully there will be servers on maps like st quentins scar with bolt actions with irons sights only on hardcore, that would be fun. I don't quite remember but I think they said there will be a trench warfare dlc and they could make a realistic version of operations
John Highway Regardless of what you think Africans fought in WWI so they deserve representation in a WWI inspired game. You're dislike of Africans won't change the facts. Fucking racist
Jesus... That's some hateful shit right there John. Get over yourself. Is this guy for real though? I can get behind black soldiers in the French or American armies (just like there would have been plenty Indian soldiers in the British Army), but are there really black German soldiers in Battlefield One? Because that is indeed inaccurate, unless you're talking about Askaris in the African theatre.
In France there is a fucking outrage against this game because of that. Fuck that afro american unit. If they wanted blacks, the french Army imported plenty from the colonies and they were fucking badasses (tirailleurs sénégalais ftw). And goddamit, it's a fucking World War 1 game. I don't give a fuck about the target audience being american. World War 1 is France vs Germany, with the Americans coming only towards the very end when everything was done. American soldiers did not experience the hell of trenches for 4 years. If anything the US Army should be the dlc and not the other fucking way around. They had a chance to show France at the time was not surrendering but no, revisionism got its way. I don't blame the devs here, I'm sure they did their research, showed it to the executives who went like 'yeah, we'll put the french in a dlc, put the americans in". Fuck you, EA.
Alexandre Peres They don't have the French at all??? What the actual fuck? Big Ro, that doesn't matter, the French were the biggest contributors on the Entente side at the Western Front. Not including them in a game that includes that front is insulting as fuck.
I love the bayonet charge. So damn thrilling and satisfying when you charge the hill and stab a guy right in the chest. Maybe not as cool in real life back then, but in this game its badass.
Computer I haven't played Verdun because I always end up not buying it but it kinda reminds me of RO2 which I played quite a bit and it also has that more authentic feeling WW1, because BF1 is just window dressing for the most part.
While I like Verdun it sadly isnt a good game. Not because it represents WW1 but because gunplay is mediocre at best and the UI is simply clunky. Also lacking tanks big scale and other things to make it fun and actually accurate. But yeah I agree that you can represent WW1 and make a fun game.
I wouldn't exactly call Verdun 'fun' in the traditional sense. It's basically a PTSD 1917 simulator with a salty community. It's certainly a fantastic experience though. xD
MedikPac Well, my friends friend's did try to Max out a much once and almost did except for a few randoms whom caught on quick. I can say that waiting in those trenches for that whistle is a really tense, especially since nobodies shooting so it's dead silent. And once the charge is sounded, it's a mad dash and as a medic I was just sprinting in circles reviving. It was so epic! Though, we can't get everyone to be on at the same time like that again sadly. =(
I once played BF1 on acid and the TV screen consumed my peripheral vision. I became so immersed in the game that at one point in conquest, we were being out numbered and as I died I watched my teammates get shot in the head from afar and rushed and stabbed with bayonets. I truly felt like I was in the battle watching the massacre of war around me. It was a reminder as to why they call it Battlefield. It’s a shame the state BFV is in.
Meh, I don't care about progression system, the gameplay makes me happy. I don't really understand why you need unlocks to be able to enjoy a game instead of the gameplay itself.
Emil Lövgren I like to feel unique and different in games where everyone's the same. More customization and profession adds a new flavor and motive for each map. To me it's where bf4 excelled
Uh...no, no it wasn't. Not in any significant capacity, at least. Snipers and many machine-gunners were issued special helmet plates(heavy as fuck, by the way) which would, probably, stop a pistol round at mid-long range and a rifle round at long-extreme long range but...other than that, very little in the way of armor. Bullet proof armor was experimented on, and it was, to some extent used, but out of the millions of troops that saw action in the war only a few thousand would ever wear armor in combat(the Germans issued only 500,000 suits of armor to the Western Front, by comparison they lost 5,500,000 troops over there(you don't even want to know how many they lost on the Eastern Front). Fundamentally, body-armor was rare...rarer than you'd think looking at all the pictures, and most of the people equipped with body armor were machine-gunners(since they had to stay in one place for days at a time). Ironically, body-armor wasn't produced because officers were concerned that it'd be too heavy, but most of the suits weighed anywhere between 15 to 25lbs...which is considerably lighter than a modern day Marine's armor at 40lbs, when you add additional equipment modern day soldiers haul somewhere around 60-70lbs of gear in to combat, whereas your typical WW1 infantryman would've only had to contend with half that at best. The Sentry seems to be based on a type of armor the Americans experimented on, but it was never actively used in combat(it was developed by Bashford Dean). Fundamentally, the Sentry's problem is not so much that it gets a suit of armor, but that it gets a suit of armor that can withstand rifle-shots at close range...which is not only impossible by WW1 standards, it is incredibly unlikely by modern standards. Most modern body-armor won't hold up to an intermediate rifle round fired at extreme close range(say 10 meters), heck it would have trouble standing up to an intermediate round up to short-to-medium ranges. A full power rifle, on the other hand(like the 8mm Mauser the Germans used) would go right through and out the other end at 5-10 meters. Furthermore, the Sentry is seen using a water-cooled machine gun...which is a feat of strength even Hercules would be in awe of. Most of these machine-guns weighed upwards of 20kgs, and that's not counting water and ammunition(which would add significant weight to the weapon). Oh, and don't get me started on the semi-auto rifles. The only people that really used semi-auto rifles in WW1 were the french, and even then you're talking about somewhere in the tens of thousands issued, that's to several million men. Furthermore, most of the semi-auto designs in WW1 were fragile, unreliable or outright didn't work.
Fan Fact : the first assault rifle is the Stg 44 it was used in Ww2 by the Germans . So the guns every body using in ww1 is most like either sub machine guns
No, it was the first assault rifle, period. The earlier Fedorav Avtomat is often touted by Russians are the first assault rifle, but is actually an automatic rifle, since it fired a full-sized rifle cartridge rather than the intermediate cartridge the Stg44 fired. The definition of an assault rifle is a selective fire small arm chambered in an intermediate cartridge, so the Stg44 was the first.
repeating rifles were being designed around the latter part of the war......but like most countries....they werent considered as theyre wasnt a need for them....even the stg44 wouldnt have made it cause hitler deemed it unessisary...thus they fooled him into believing it was a machine pistol......hence why its also called the mp44
Fr this one is my favorite now just because how satisfying it is to shoot and do ur class things and the vibe is the best I lose myself just having fun. The sound and graphics are really good too and I like the maps
Rewatching this makes me shed a tear. How far this franchise has fallen...
I always go back to BF1. I play on Xbox One. I'm recently back after a 8 month break but I still got it 😎👉🔥

With a campaign like this you get the chance to cover all fronts, like dice did with BF1 but in a less generic way, and still get the grand finale with the hellish trench warfare which people wanted.
great Idea !
That seems like a good idea
Henk Buining A french one and a german one ?
if youve got an english soldier in the campaign you can basically get any of the english fronts in there, make him fight through gallipoli, the african front, the middle east, i mean, it takes some creative storytelling but it can defenitely be done. with the german you can cover the eastern front vs the russians, the balkan and italian front. just make their divisions get send around the world just like it was done during the war.

I think a trench to trench game mode could have been done, both teams start in a trench, the whistle blows and they both charge. You get one life and the round is over when one side kills the other and then it restarts, it should be somewhat fast paced.
I was thinking a game mode like that

that was why i was not hyped for bf 1 but now that i see it not like WW 1 i might get it
a creative dev team could have still made it enjoyable. staying true to history or source material while also making it fun somehow. thats the mark of a skilled developer.
no one is asking to have 72 hour long game sessions where you sit until a grenade blows you up. just something that tries new things and manages to make it fun
Depends on the setting. In Europe yeah but in middle-east and certain theatres like the alps, fighting was much more mobile back & forth sort of business.
1942 and Vietnam was more realistic. DICE themselves can't reach that level or what?
People aren't asking for 100% historical accuracy. They just want the setting to feel authentic. It's the same as making a new Battlefield 1942 but most of the planes have jet engines.

SURELY
Literally
You can buy the battlepacks now. EA had us fooled that they're growing and becoming less greedy for a second there
Ah, yes, like Battlepacks actually matter to the game at hand. Stop being picky, just because they want a little more money for something that doesn't affect the core game in the slightest doesn't meant they're getting greedy.
You do realize that the value of the dollar has gone down so prices go up but as you see video games stayed at 60. Most of the time they add micros transactions and paid dlc to make more money to keep up with inflation and to keep the original game price down.
inflation huh, when are they going to inflate my paycheck
Captain Crary you realize theres something called supply and demand. More people are buying games more than ever. A game that was $60 back in 1985 is equal to $90 now, but a lot less people were gamers back then.
I'm surprised the high tear battlepacks can't be bought with money.
I miss the good old days, where you don't just SPAWN into a vehicle. I want to take off with my plane and not just appear in mid air :(
I know right? It's funny most COD fanboys say Halo is too casual, yet the vehicles there that spawn have to first be found and then mounted by the player.
I think the vehicle spawn is a LOT better then in other BF in my opinion
Bob Jackson Lol wtf? First of all, you have no way of knowing what I like and you can't tell me what I like. Second, the ironic thing is yes I actually do play several different modern CODs. My favorite recent one is Black Ops 2. You can like both Halo and Call of Duty separately and equally because they're different fucking games.
EDIT: When I say "recent", I mean it's the most recent one that I think was really nice and wholesome. Black Ops 3 didn't feel so great for some reason.
Vasko who cares
Lucas Werner At this current point in time, 19 people care. It will probably be a lot more in a few minutes.
Pigeons were actually used in WW1, to deliver messages. It was the kind of animal that earned most medals in that war.
MrAbrazildo He knows that, the multiplayer mode is just a joke though.
yes I liked how they added the pigeon in
Simone Oconnell
I'm gonna go back to campaign so I can play the fucking pigeon XD
lol let the pigeons fly
Emilio Vähäkallio I didn't remember it was actually this kind of medal.

Same bruhh
damn.. I just did that..
Im just happy that they brought back the 1942 theme song!!!
that's because they brought back the 1942 game
Kasra Azad The theme song never left though.
*****
The iconic orchestra theme is replace with the ridiculous dupstep music, in the current battlefield games.
Technically it's more like 1917, since tanks weren't introduced until 1916.
Fredrik Hamrebjörk I'm thinking its 1918
These Operations in Battlefield sound familiar. You mean to tell me they have "Operations" here, but they couldn't handle putting Galactic Conquest in Battlefront?
I'm calling bullshit.
You just KNOW this shit is gonna be added in Battlefront 2 (EA).
Derpageddon operations is nothing like Galactic Conquest...
BUT THE FACT THAT THEY TOOK IT OUT IS THE PROBLEM HE IS ADDRESSING YOU DUMB F**K
Wilgains Fleuridor Ah yes, now I remember why I don't use the RUclips comment system
i got really triggered before that comment but yeah you really missed the point
yipyipmingow Dude just face it. This game is a carbon copy of Battlefront. This game is shit. The fact that Angry Joe doesn't find this worse than Hardline blows my fucking mind. EA must have paid him to not go too hard on them.
2000 CoD players dislike this video... and Activision as well.
CoD players aren't really that moronic like some Bf players to do that.
CoD players are the worst.
Lord Krishna Bf players are a lot more worse. Go to Bf1 trailer and IW trailer and take a look at the comments. Nothing can top that douchebaggery, not even some CoD ragequitters.
Crimson464
"more worse" lol
The trailer for the upcoming CoD game deserves every bit of hatred.
Battlefield 1 was definitely a masterpiece. I wish I could relive the times it first came out. That was truly awesome
Operations may have been the height of shooter games for me. Up there with ranked halo 2 and 3 matchmaking, borderlands 2, cod mw2
You can now with the player influx from 2042. Lots of people are returning to the game. I'd play now before everyone leaves again.
Advertised as a WW1 game
Only focuses the last month of the war
Ignores all well known WW1 battles , no Verdun no Somme , no nothing
Well done DICE
Steve D
probably to sell them back as dlc
They have Gallipoli
But that's probably not " well known" enough for you
Somalia. Makes
They chose fun and gameplay over realism. A very good choice imo. Battlefield is not a simulator. It's multiplayer action game. It should be a realistic FUN experience not just a realistic boring / frustrating experience.
that Automatic M1 Grand intro killed me xD
Jipsy Jeepies That was a Lee Enfield not M1
Jipsy Jeepies Lee Enfield has the same reload sound in real life. They both used stripper clips which make the nostalgic ting when you load up. however the Lee Enfield had a detachable 10 round magazine.
M1 Garand*
Jipsy Jeepies It's just common sense, I own a Lee Enfield No.4 MK1 and a Turkish mauser, both are bolt action and both can be fed with stripper clips. No need to get offensive
The only reason to ever detach the magazine on a Lee Enfield is to clean it.
It looks like Dice went for quality over quantity
Stormfox Shit I still play bf 3 fam
Lasspeng cept for bf4 Bf4 had way too much shit
Stormfox EA*
I'm currently thinking about getting BF3 but I'm not entirely sure yet. Tell me, what's the difference between BF3 and BF4?
vidk1dd96 BF 3 is awesome and I liked it a bit better then 4 but they're both enjoyable tbh
"this franchise is my go to for wartime games" boy that didn't fucking aged well lol
so sad bruh
man fuck- FUCK EA AND DICE
Wait, BF1's launch was... smooth? I've been with the series since BF2. Poor launches are, and have been since the beginning, a running gag.
Everything was perfectly smooth, and i played 3 days earlier
Bf2 launch was shitty. Had some serious server issues. Maybe you mean bad company 2?
you are a true veteran
I bought BF3 and barely played the game, no idea why...but I impulse bought BF4 and never touched it...lol
i think its a pretty simplified game. Bf4 had a lot more moving parts
No Russia and France in BF1 yet? The most fucking important side of WW1
Владислав Мерсер
paid DLC
Im pretty sure that France will be a free DLC, but im not sure.
Veteran Alpha the Russians are supposedly first as they are coming before Christmas
No they weren't.
If they made a game exactly like WW1 you'd be soooo bored.
Matches would be 72 hours+ of sitting in at trench, after which you would die of a gas grenade or get shot immediately when the order to charge comes. *fun fun fun fun*
Verdun is an extremely fun game....
Get Verdun and see
2 weeks of living in a trench and then being killed as soon as going over sounds like fun old realism
It's not about a game being exactly like world war 1, no one wants that. It's about the setting having literally no effect on the gameplay at all.
0:56 AngryJoe: French Are Not In This Game
EA: Adds French In The Game
AngryJoe: Am I A Joke To You
A good summary is this:
Quality>>>>>>>Quanity
Derekzigzag4 MLG it's dice. They've sold out. EA was only the beginning.
Not really i mean a games depth is definitely under the quality category. BF1 has very little depth. With no way to learn the recoil due to the huge bullet deviation and the absence of a progression system, the game gets boring fast.
Still more content than battlefront I mean 5 maps wtf
new free content on da way right?
What quantity? Quantity of what? Number of players?
If AJ thinks that this is 8/10 and for some 7/10, I feel sorry for the upcoming shooters..
With this new level of quality set by BF1 hardly any of them should score over 4-5/10... lol
Well funny thing is that many shooters have the quality of BF1 in their own way, just people started taking it for granted in those series...
I hope he reviews Infinite Warfare. I want to watch that. It's very unlikely since, as I have been told, Joe gave up on CoD, but a man can dream.
Previous battlefield games did have a lot more content. There's even less content than Hardlines base game to be honest. The content here is AMAZING don't get me wrong. But it sucks that I have to wait months until the first dlc of the season pass comes out
Kenji1801 he is likely to review IW as his Twitter suggests that.
Well if you enjoy bf1 and want a space varient of it, buy battlefront and all of its dlc!
If you love historical accuracies for World War 1, play Verdun. Battlefield isn't really known for being very accurate as far as weapons.
Assassin Logan13 what are you saying? Battlefield 1 is 1000% historically acurate, don't be a hater (ironical level over 9000)
FasoOoLi Shami No it's a ps4 game to you asshat.
FasoOoLi Shami Yes. It doesn't have 100% full servers 24/7 but there are always people playing it.
Luisl20
Dude, with all respect, are you nuts?
I still play it from time to time, such a good game
Yo, they need a dogfight game mode....that's what I need...and Bolt action trench battle/survival.
JaceBoss play Verdun
JaceBoss there very well may be some sort of "Air Supremacy" gamemode down the line. Its certainly a possibility!
Christian Rodriguez awesome game Verdun.
Very fun.
JaceBoss back to basics custom game gives everyone standard issue bolt action rifles and limited gadgets
JaceBoss I love that profile pic
DAMMIT JOE I DIDN'T LET MYSELF BUY THIS GAME UNTIL YOU REVIEWED IT AND IT WAS TORTURE
Omar3213 same here dude. thank god !
it's instant gratification withdrawal. stop preordering games or premature ejaculating and you get the same thing.
i LOL at this.
I'm not much of an FPS person so I didn't really care about the game. More of a RPG type person. Mostly JRPGs.
when $60 can feed a single man for a month T_T
Why game is so pricey?
I would love a "Historic mode" without the exotic weapons, no crosshair etc.
Metal Gamer and less colonial soldiers
Hopefully they'll have something like that in the soon-to-be-released "Custom Game" mode.
That pretty much sounds like the 'Hard Mode' in a regular shooter.
Metal Gamer Fog of War?
Sure, that'd be 15 bucks.
While people were buying Battlefieldrobotvaginas 5. I held onto Battlefield 1.
Pffffffft. My Horse Gameplay is Amazing!
When i try to do any challenges i die 500 times a second
Look at my horse gameplay, my horse gameplay is amazing!
@BlackWatchAmbush I think it's probably the bald black women fighting for the nazis on the frontline hes referencing. Tool
This review was greater than frosted flakes
Gaming Goof man that tiger gets me sometimes
Gaming Goof And frosted flakes are fucking awesome.
Cpt. Kisaragi No they're GRRRRRREAT!
+Gaming Goof XD i agree though
No France, No russia.
You should have mentionned it (besides just the intro and the season pass), because in terms of lack of content, that's a HUGE one. If Germany didn't go though belgium to attack Franc,e then neitheir the US nor the Uk would have participated. And without Russia, then it would just be a war between Asutria-Hungary and Serbia...
SpyMonkey3D Russia and France are confirmed as dlc
SpyMonkey3D Wait the game takes place in 1918, how can Russia be there?
Russia was a country long before WWI, the only difference was that it was a kingdom, which changed midway through WWI when the people rebelled and turned Russia into a Communist nation.
Corn Marketman I think he meant Soviets maybe.
Corn Marketman I didn't know that it happened in 1918, but even if the revolution forced them to leave the war, if I hear "WW1 Game", I think russia is part of it.
I mean, Tannenberg, the fucking Brusilov offensive. That's as much part of WW1 as Verdun...
I get your point, but it's no excuse.
game has microtransactions now, 7/10. I think EA added it in later to avoid lower scores damn it corporate
Realgigclin
Cosmetic only.
All Battlefield games have microtransactions; what's the big deal?
Realgigclin They've also added a ton more modes. and weapons, maps (if you own the DLC) so still 8/10. maybe even 9 for some. i give it 9, personally. I love WWI and WWII shooters.
Costco Wholesale micro transactions do not belong in consel/pc games period.
Kyle Trathen Yes they do.
The pinnacle of the BF series. Everything came crashing down after this game
the intro killed me.
Then how are you typing
dalton adams he's a zombeh.
spoopy skeller typer
your reply killed m.....
hehehhe funny comment.
Legend says if you're here early joe will reply
Prod.Aztekka sup bruh
Which joe?
lies
lol
nooooooooo
instead of wasting the largest map on a boring desert, the largest map should have ben no mans land.
also, a "hold the line" type survival mode would be pretty cool.
ferrret spartan "a boring large desert" kid gtfo
The Siphon yeah but until the train comes it's fun
I think people would have hated it if you were just walking through wire and smoke to then get killed by a machine gun.
or just both of them could have been big
Joe smiling and breaking character in the intro is gold.
Verdun is the ultimate WW1 shooter. The weapons have almost spot on accuracy. The maps are amazing, the devs actually traveled to the battlefield to make the maps. Also, the trench warfare is amazing. Instead of running around on a map, you are tasked to stay in the trench and hold it, and if the enemy sucks enough then you push over the top and try to take their trench
congrats, go play that game instead of ripping into this one.
Andrew Mercado
No, I actually love Battlefield One.
This game would've been awesome if there was more authenticity.
let's wait for harcore mode :)
Lochlan
I can see that; If there arent enough players or you are on a big map it does get boring, if you want to see it get sped up, play on Argonne on a full match (32 players) It turns into a giant pile of bodies :)
Am I the only person who isn't complaining about BF1's weapon choices?
No, this is my favourite FPS by far. Love the guns, love the sounds, love the maps, love the everything basically. Can't wait to see what easter eggs they will include :D
Brennan Palm the only that bothers me about the assult class is the shotgun
Brennan Palm I love the weapons, but they could have added more. They added a joke gun Kolibri, so its not like it would have been hard to do. I do feel Joe was right when he said ranks 4 to 10 just feel lacking in terms of progresssion.
Which shotgun lol theres 3
not sure how you can be ok with it. there are only like 4 guns per class and many are just horrible. theres no reason to use half the guns in each class because they are objectively worse than other ones.Support weapons in general just suck
That intro killed me. ;D
Diabl0pl is that a automatic comment? GO BACK
Is that an automatic reply? GO BACK and get your standard issued comment.
Diabl0pl yeah but it's a AK! I'm keepin it
RIP
bruh so funny
More authentic than BFV :(
And BF2042
Battlefield 1 is definitely the best battlefield game since BF3. I'm glad Dice is back on track. Truly a blast to play
meh, my favorite was bad company, and 1942
Random Whiterun Guard hells yeah
Anotha One You're so right. Battlefield 3 was to me the last good Battlefield game. Sure Battlefield 4 is good but it doesn't feel right compare to Battlefield 1/3
its the best mp shooter of all time, period.
Anotha One The last good Battlefield was Bad Company 2 in my opinion.
This game is essentially a WW2 game with a WW1 skin.
That is what he said.
It's too similiar to WW2 in that BF1 is mostly about blitzkrieg and not so much trench warfare. The the weapons, maps and vehicles are correct, but could've been nerfed a bit for realism.
i don't know if you meant ww1 but if you did than by that comment i can tell yo know nothing about ww1
LordVader1094 um, no
Can't wait for the COD AW Angry Review XDDDDDDD
*IW
Michael Lai same thing haha
Oh Yeah my bad, the Games are so simular it makes no difference XD
Jake Thumbs
i will save you the trouble: YOU DONE FUCKED IT UP!!!!
Was the intro scripted? Because it seemed just too hilarious real!
New mode:Trenches
Teams:2
They are two teams one is defending the trench one is attacking.
Or you know you can just get Verdun. Or Tannenberg, whenever that comes out.
Get Verdun its exactly like that
Jona Persic that’s just verdun
That sounds like a very bad time.... One side Slams their head against a wall to break it while the other Repairs the damage
Joe, everybody requests so many things of you...I just wanted to thank you, for all the work and all the years of laughs you continue to provide us.
Yeh, Joe is awesome when he got #1 RUclips Game reviewer i was like YEH!, thanks Joe for all your time spent trying to give an honest opinion about a game unlike some other sponsored reviewers
Amen!
Nathan Hill, I agree but I'm also having a shit ton of fun with it so....
DLC
out of nowhere you? you what? YOU WHAT?!
Nathan Hill if you're looking for a game like that, I'd look at Verdun.
As a history graduate, I would argue that the weapons and locations were fairly accurate compared to most interpretations of WWI.
Don't get why DICE just didn't make it WW2. They could of added all the machine guns they wanted.
Down since Day One the first BF was at 1942
Angelos Pappoulis
I know and it was a great game, BF1 is still a great game but like Joe said it's more of a WW2 game with a WW1 skin.
but they did make a ww2 battlefield before. 2 of them actually battlefield 1942 and battlefield 1943
Caydenthehill You are right, that already came out. I meant Battlefield 1944 (google it). A lot of people thought it was going to be yet another WW2 game.
there are not much ww1 games.
How can you have a World War 1 game without sitting in a trench being shelled for hours before shooting at anybody?
because it would be a boring game...
Josh Neubert
1.get 63 friends
2. select operations mode
3.???
4. Profit
"get friends"
Thats where the hard part is then.
The hardest part is 63 friends.
Hey man, Verdun is a pretty fucking fantastic game.
None of it was cool in real life
@@willb1405 Real life sucks in general. :P
Oliver Xu sorry you feel that way :/
@@willb1405 ITS A GAME
@@davidarmstrong9728 i know it is? I didn’t say it isn’t a game...
"real WWI wouldn't have been all that fun"
Clearly you haven't played Verdun. If you had, you would have shat on this game.
It's certainly a fantastic experience though. xD
Tried to give you two thumbs up...
verdun is like staring at a wall.same level of fun.
Custom server support is being added next month
MedikPac like he says do it on release
+Crylec Um no, ensuring a solid release is better. besides its coming soon so boohoo
The Ninja Then don't rush the game out missing features, simple.
MedikPac
Well, my friends friend's did try to Max out a much once and almost did except for a few randoms whom caught on quick.
I mean yeah BF1 could be better, but this release vs BF4 broken mess. May have had all the features on launch, but good luck playing them.
god joe would you just stop having an opinion and only think what we want you to think?
omri maor what?
omri maor loooool nice one
Haha The Last of Us comes to mind when I read your comment.
i hate comments like this
guys you know this is a joke right ?
Emil Lövgren ya I agree the gameplay is fulfilling and is not repetitive if it was repetitive i would want more content
Emil Lövgren Progressions system makes it feel like you are getting somewhere. Some need that.
Emil Lövgren I like to feel unique and different in games where everyone's the same. More customization and profession adds a new flavor and motive for each map. To me it's where bf4 excelled
Emil Lövgren I've always felt more accomplished earning my weapons and gear. I like the how the better you do the better stuff it earns you.
I don't really like the unlock system at all, wish they just had faction based weapons with a few different choices of weapons.
Fun fact: The Trench armor was a real thing.
Of course it was real but only specialized units used it and even then it was rarely used.
0nlySurvivor They used plating called 'Lobster armour' but that's about it, the Sentry unit in BF1 is a bit OTT.
***** Yeah it's basicly a knight. Looks like something out of Hellsing XD
0nlySurvivor I know what you mean lol
If I am correct, the STG 44 was not the first assault rifle, but the first efficient assault rifle.
Giorgio Larriva the assault weapons are called smgs in the game, of joe called it an ar thats his mistake
repeating rifles were being designed around the latter part of the war......but like most countries....they werent considered as theyre wasnt a need for them....even the stg44 wouldnt have made it cause hitler deemed it unessisary...thus they fooled him into believing it was a machine pistol......hence why its also called the mp44
Release of BF2042 gave a me a whole new appreciation for this great game.

BF2042 could have been one of the best in the series if it wasn't released so early to the point in which it's a pre-alpha. XD
