I've been playing on PC almost daily since launch, and honestly, I haven't had major issues with cheaters. Yeah, they were around, but in my experience, it wasn't that bad. I usually joined servers with admins who handled them pretty quickly. If there were no admins, I’d just leave and hop into another match-there are plenty of full servers, at least in Europe.

It's easier to program and better for the servers if the game's player count are a power of 2 like 64 or 128. If you have a player count of say 80, you're practically using the same amount of space in memory as a server with 128 players.
I very recently got my PC upgraded, not only to get better performance, but because I wanted to play games like Battlefield 1 again. I've had this itch for awhile to play it again, and finally started playing it again a few days ago. And dude, OMFG how i've missed this game soo much, holy shit. I don't even really care that i'm not at all used to playing BF1 on mouse and keyboard, I always played it on PS4 back in the day. I'm just having soo much fun taking in the gameplay, the atmosphere, the sounds. And the music is just chef's kiss. I'm not sure if this is by default or by chance, but every time the game boots up, it plays "Lacrimosa" from the Apocalypse DLC. Considering that was one of, if not my actual favourite pieces of music from the game, it's like the game is consciously reminding me why I love Battlefield 1 soo much and why it's one of my favourite games in general. This really was the last great Battlefield imo

I shot a dude with a shotgun multiple times like 5 feet away and it didn’t even do anything, no damage fine at all. I’ve also been sniped through the dirt and full on boulder that at the angle the other person was at, would make it impossible.
I just got back into playing thus game. Honestly you should do a update to your ranking list for this and see how you feel about the weapons now compared to years ago. I'd love to see way more bf1 in general
I love using the Arisaka on Cape Helles. For some reason, I seem to one-shot everyone with it! I don't think I've ever tried it on Amiens-I usually stick to the Gewehr 95 Marksman or the Martini-Henry Infantry there. But I'll definitely give the Arisaka a shot next time I'm on Amiens
I’d like more players. The problem with Battlefield 2042 was that the objectives were poorly placed, so people ended up quite dispersed and the maps felt empty.
They added anti cheat which is great. Now if they could just somehow make it cross platform for at least consoles and an option/filter with steam, that would truly revive the game.
The Boheamoths killing you when it lands in you is so annoying. It’s not even well done either, I’ve been killed by a falling airship when I’m under ground in a concrete bunker. It just phased through and killed me

Eventually you'll find 150 level sweaty squads, artillery truck campers, mortar spammers, aa rocket gun abusers and so on and so forth. It's pretty difficult to find a server that you can play in without sweating your ass off.
Graphics just seem to go backwards since 2020... I quit playing about 2 years ago but I just installed it again. Still my favourite Battlefield since BF3
This game is a pain to play in OCE. All I wanna play is Operations, Ops and Frontlines are the only good modes on BF1, on PC our admins keep taking the Ops server down, pisses me off. It's up for a few days then down for 2 weeks until people beg in the Discord, like just leave it up ffs.. I'm forced to play Asian servers. Ugh.
IMAGINE, if somehow EA or DICE were to update the game so that it was cross platform and cross gen. this game would probably average so many players for even LONGER than it has already
More than anything I just want cross progression, which they could easily do since it's the same EA account. I'm almost max rank on console, but I mainly play PC now, I just wanna take that level from console to PC. Sucks we can't.
I definitely think they could go 80-100 player count, I think the main issue 128 was a disaster is simply because it was with 2042 and it wouldn’t have been nearly as bad on other titles. That being said I still think 128 was too much regardless.
Will have to try and see if i will be able to play it on the PC now, but i think it will not be possible with the anticheat and me being on a linux. Will see how it goes.
so they broke compatibility for people on linux, did nothing to stop cheating, and made modding impossible. I wouldn't even care except this is an 8 year old game that they retroactively broke. It already pissed me off enough that they released BF2042, had it listed as steamdeck compatible, then released a patch that made it unplayable. But this is a new level of ridiculous. Everyone already played on community servers in the first place, WHO WAS THIS UPDATE FOR?

You are never cheater free. Cheats were working right after they added the "anticheat"...

Same for me. Even in BF V I didn't notice cheaters were a major problem before update. They usually farmed only on Operation Underground.
