What the hell happened? Literally all these guys had to do to make a successful Battlefront game is: Take Battlefront 2, update the graphics and physics for a modern console, maybe make the battles even bigger, add some new maps, add some more space battles, and people would have been more than satisfied!
That sounds like a shit ton of effort. Or at least it is compared to simply reskinning battlefield and adding storm trooper suits and some AT ATs. People will still buy the game since the new movie hype.

+Milos Panic I would NOT call that collection of single player missions a "campaign." Having a single player doesn't automatically qualify it as a single player campaign in my eyes. A campaign implies there's actually a story or connection/flow between those missions, instead these are just separate instances that can be played in any order, no story, no connection from mission to mission except the Star Wars universe in general, no flow from mission to mission, etc. It's like making a private server in CS, playing with bots on a few different maps, and calling that a "single player campaign." Lol, you might be playing by yourself (single player) but that's damn sure not a proper campaign.

It's just so shallow. I feel like it's becoming a habit to develop a game to be shown as a vertical slice to build hype. A vertical slice should be like a piece of cake where it has all/most aspects of the game nice and neat representative of the rest of the game. In this and many other cases, instead of making a cake and showing you a vertical slice, THEY TAKE CHUNKS OF THE CAKE AND START STACKING they build and polish and display one big shiny piece over and over and put whipped cream and sprinkles and sparkles on it, so what you see is just "WHOA look at that huge yummy vertical slice of cake WOWWIE! Where's the rest of it?" and then you realize instead of a nice delicious cake, they just took fistfuls that should've gone into making the rest of the game cool and good and piled it into a big vertical slice blob. In this case I think it was Walker assault on Hoth that was almost exclusively shown (Btw it doesn't make the game any less crappy, it just means Hoth Walker assault was the best thing they had to show off) and the game is just pathetic...

Battlefront 3 was going to have seamless ground to air to space battle transitions in each map. It was going to have 50-100 troops in each map, then was cancelled, partially due to deadlines and funding, and partially because they were diverting resources to Force Unleashed. We got this bullshit instead. I feel cheated.

And nothing that's DLC is essential for fun, the essential DLC is all free. Thats the trend. As long as the graphics are good, who cares about gameplay, content, and story? Until reviewers stop talking about frames per second.... Graphical quality is really just a small portion of the equation. The visuals only impress the first 30 minutes of any game I hope to spend at least 50 hours playing, maybe even 100. I lovedddd going into the enemy ship once I found out I could. Little too easy, but fun nonetheless. Forget the name but i would be the class with the timed bombs and go inside the engine rooms and blow everything up( even using the ammo bots outside that would actually give me more bombssss LOL) It was a easy victory as long as I didnt die to to many times while inside.
Raptor 3698 i loved playing xbox live on bf1 and bf2 they were really good and the DLC was good and i played with people who all had mikes and would joke around and we all trash talked but did it in a way to joke around it was a great time i even played those 2 games at E3 and got them the day those 2 games came out i was 12 when bf1 came out for xbox and i was 13 when bf2 came out there were good people on there
I was really expecting a 4/10 because, while having some good qualities, it really doesn't live up to industry standards and professional expectations for a $60 game. Especially based off of what you said, it's a below average game, not an average one. Still, though, it's a fair - unbiased score that I respect and can get behind. 5/10 *is* a very just score for this game.
It's not just about content in DLC, it's about value of purchase and market expectations. Honestly, if a game with *any* other IP came out with 11 guns and only 4 planets... with no gun customization and shallow combat variables, then it would get kicked out of the gaming community until it dropped its price. People give CoD crap and it offers *so* much more than this. Battlefront with all of its DLC still wont even live up to friggin Black Ops 3. *BLACK OPS 3!* People are giving Fallout 4 crap, and they're hating on Call of Duty for being "The same old shlop." but Battlefront is one of the least interesting and fundamentally lacking products released in a long time. In almost every professional way, it doesn't have *nearly* as much things in it that are needed to make it a viable game in today's market, and that's why i would call it "below average." but Joe is right in that the graphics and sound design really boost the game. But no matter what, DLC will never *fix* a game. DLC is designed to add value to a game's product for a heftier price tag. No amount of DLC will fix a game that's shallow, because even if they do add weapon customization and better everything - it's *double* the price that it should have been. You don't sell a bum car that has *no* good features for the same price as one that does, then offer the "opportunity" for the customer to pay more money so that their car can meet initial expectations. That's wrong on so many levels.

This guy basically called AJ a liar but, he gives no example of any "lie". He implied that negative suspicions about this game were wrong, when in reality, they were exactly right. EA: Look up Peter Moore's comments regarding this crap game and you can see that this guy is basically ignoring every negative thing said about this game in every possible way. He has made it seem like this game was an "overwhelming success" when in reality, it's been an "overwhelming disappointment" in just about everyone's eyes. The only reason this guy considers it a "success" is due to all the money they made by suckering people into buying this thing. Proof that EA only cares about the $$$ they made and could care less about the fact that they tricked people into buying this piece of garbage to get all that $$$. 3. Di$ney: Di$ney/-Lucasfilm- Kennedyfilm is basically the reason why we are in this whole mess with EA *_in the first place_*. They are the ones who gave EA the exclusive rights to all SW games for the next 10 yrs. (which began in 2012-2013). It's because of Di$ney's lack of foresight that this game has turned out to be garbage. If they had done a bit of research, they could've seen that EA has had a continuously bad track record with games and gamers (they won "Worst Company" award 2 yrs. in a row) but, since Di$ney was looking for a company that was just as greedy and shady as they are, it was a perfect fit. In the 2-3 yrs. since Di$ney took over SW, they have ruined a legacy that took nearly 40 yrs. to build with little to no regard for it's creators, much less it's longtime, hardcore fans. but unfortunately reviews rely go for graphix which is really sad, in my honest opinion (a person who love detail and immersion) games need to realise graphix should be an after thought, first you need sticks with guns running around a blob of a map, then go what would make this interesting what would make it fun then when the maps are sorted the gameplay is fun and interesting and balanced and you have added enough interesting alternatives to game play then and only then should you start adding graphix and detail, it should literately be the last thing you do even after destruction

You can literally get a much better Battlefront game in a super cheap price and while it does not look as impressive as this piece of shit Battlefront (EA), on PC at 720p or 1080p, 50-60fps with 32 vs 32 players or A.I. bots, it is amazing.

Can you believe they already announced a sequel for this game and it's barely been a YEAR since it was released? Instead of working on the game and keeping it supported with additional modes and the like. It strikes me as odd as I bet they won't even use a new engine or revamp the gameplay.
Most of the player base has disappeared, and what's left is about 50% cheaters. They know what they are doing. Bring out a big new game for full price, offer DLC, and then wait for it to fall to pieces as people realize it's not good.
Talal Then why make a sequel? The purpose of a sequel is to add to what was not in the first game. Which considering just how MUCH wasn't in Battlefront, is a lot. Literally all these guys had to do to make a successful Battlefront game is: Take Battlefront 2, update the graphics and physics for a modern console, maybe make the battles even bigger, add some new maps, add some more space battles, and people would have been more than satisfied!

+Milos Panic I would NOT call that collection of single player missions a "campaign." Having a single player doesn't automatically qualify it as a single player campaign in my eyes. A campaign implies there's actually a story or connection/flow between those missions, instead these are just separate instances that can be played in any order, no story, no connection from mission to mission except the Star Wars universe in general, no flow from mission to mission, etc. It's like making a private server in CS, playing with bots on a few different maps, and calling that a "single player campaign." Lol, you might be playing by yourself (single player) but that's damn sure not a proper campaign.

It's just so shallow. I feel like it's becoming a habit to develop a game to be shown as a vertical slice to build hype. A vertical slice should be like a piece of cake where it has all/most aspects of the game nice and neat representative of the rest of the game. In this and many other cases, instead of making a cake and showing you a vertical slice, THEY TAKE CHUNKS OF THE CAKE AND START STACKING they build and polish and display one big shiny piece over and over and put whipped cream and sprinkles and sparkles on it, so what you see is just "WHOA look at that huge yummy vertical slice of cake WOWWIE! Where's the rest of it?" and then you realize instead of a nice delicious cake, they just took fistfuls that should've gone into making the rest of the game cool and good and piled it into a big vertical slice blob. In this case I think it was Walker assault on Hoth that was almost exclusively shown (Btw it doesn't make the game any less crappy, it just means Hoth Walker assault was the best thing they had to show off) and the game is just pathetic...

Graphical quality is really just a small portion of the equation. The visuals only impress the first 30 minutes of any game I hope to spend at least 50 hours playing, maybe even 100.

Forget the name but i would be the class with the timed bombs and go inside the engine rooms and blow everything up( even using the ammo bots outside that would actually give me more bombssss LOL) It was a easy victory as long as I didnt die to to many times while inside.

i loved playing xbox live on bf1 and bf2 they were really good and the DLC was good and i played with people who all had mikes and would joke around and we all trash talked but did it in a way to joke around it was a great time i even played those 2 games at E3 and got them the day those 2 games came out

I was really expecting a 4/10 because, while having some good qualities, it really doesn't live up to industry standards and professional expectations for a $60 game.
Especially based off of what you said, it's a below average game, not an average one.

It's not just about content in DLC, it's about value of purchase and market expectations. Honestly, if a game with *any* other IP came out with 11 guns and only 4 planets... with no gun customization and shallow combat variables, then it would get kicked out of the gaming community until it dropped its price.
People give CoD crap and it offers *so* much more than this. Battlefront with all of its DLC still wont even live up to friggin Black Ops 3. *BLACK OPS 3!*
People are giving Fallout 4 crap, and they're hating on Call of Duty for being "The same old shlop." but Battlefront is one of the least interesting and fundamentally lacking products released in a long time.
In almost every professional way, it doesn't have *nearly* as much things in it that are needed to make it a viable game in today's market, and that's why i would call it "below average." but Joe is right in that the graphics and sound design really boost the game.
But no matter what, DLC will never *fix* a game. DLC is designed to add value to a game's product for a heftier price tag. No amount of DLC will fix a game that's shallow, because even if they do add weapon customization and better everything - it's *double* the price that it should have been.
You don't sell a bum car that has *no* good features for the same price as one that does, then offer the "opportunity" for the customer to pay more money so that their car can meet initial expectations. That's wrong on so many levels.

1. DICE: They didn't just go along with the scam, they perpetuated it. Just look up DICE's Daniel Cambrand's response to Angry Joe's _'Battlefront Season Pass Angry Rant'_ video. This guy basically called AJ a liar but, he gives no example of any "lie". He implied that negative suspicions about this game were wrong, when in reality, they were exactly right. This just proves that DICE was just as guilty of purposely deceiving people with this game, especially when they secretly *_knew_* it wasn't going to be the game everyone was waiting 10 yrs. for.
2. EA: Look up Peter Moore's comments regarding this crap game and you can see that this guy is basically ignoring every negative thing said about this game in every possible way. He has made it seem like this game was an "overwhelming success" when in reality, it's been an "overwhelming disappointment" in just about everyone's eyes. The only reason this guy considers it a "success" is due to all the money they made by suckering people into buying this thing. Proof that EA only cares about the $$$ they made and could care less about the fact that they tricked people into buying this piece of garbage to get all that $$$.
3. Di$ney: Di$ney/-Lucasfilm- Kennedyfilm is basically the reason why we are in this whole mess with EA *_in the first place_*. They are the ones who gave EA the exclusive rights to all SW games for the next 10 yrs. (which began in 2012-2013). It's because of Di$ney's lack of foresight that this game has turned out to be garbage. If they had done a bit of research, they could've seen that EA has had a continuously bad track record with games and gamers (they won "Worst Company" award 2 yrs. in a row) but, since Di$ney was looking for a company that was just as greedy and shady as they are, it was a perfect fit. In the 2-3 yrs. since Di$ney took over SW, they have ruined a legacy that took nearly 40 yrs. to build with little to no regard for it's creators, much less it's longtime, hardcore fans. Just like EA, it's all about the $$$ for Di$ney but on a *_much_* larger scale. Most people are just looking at the "positive pro-Di$ney" side of things but, rarely look at the negative side of the coin cause doing so would show them that Di$ney isn't as "good" and "squeaky clean" as everyone thinks they are.
So yeah, in my view - *_TO HELL WITH ALL 3 OF THEM_*...

I disagree with You. This games looks more like a product of lazy/greedy company rather than company which tried to focus of visuals. Focusing of graphic should give Us more maps, skins, models of weapons, heroes, vehicles, etc.

Can you believe they already announced a sequel for this game and it's barely been a YEAR since it was released? Instead of working on the game and keeping it supported with additional modes and the like. It strikes me as odd as I bet they won't even use a new engine or revamp the gameplay.
Most of the player base has disappeared, and what's left is about 50% cheaters. They know what they are doing. Bring out a big new game for full price, offer DLC, and then wait for it to fall to pieces as people realize it's not good.

Talal Then why make a sequel? The purpose of a sequel is to add to what was not in the first game. Which considering just how MUCH wasn't in Battlefront, is a lot. It's not a victim mentality, it's "it's no longer shiny, quick release something new using the same engine!" mentality that a lot of game developers have had the last 10 years or so.
otakon17 they've added maps, weapons, modes and offline content since launch, and they're still supporting it, the sequel is coming late next year (I think).
You know this game sucks the moment a Stormtrooper actually hits his target.
Feels like EA wanted to make this game "accessible" for non gamers. It's not a game for Gamers, it's a cash in on the movie goers and a beloved franchise.
