A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ RUclips. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of RUclips I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on RUclips won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This RUclips channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

I’m 65 years old (white) and was brought up with very little experience of other cultures. Then I joined the Air Force in 1979. My first roommate (black) came from Downtown Detroit. I taught him Rock and he taught me Funk! Share your cultures, people! Especially the universal language of music! It will bridge the gap!!!

Back in the day, you would hear this song coming out of virtually every professional sports team's locker room before their games. It was part of every team's pre-game ritual.

It hurts my heart to see someone shake their head from the get go on a song that is widely regarded by just about everyone as a great tune. But to see the awakening was so good I got high.
Why does it hurt your heart that others do not have your same taste in things? What’s the need to have others approve of what you love? I love rock, but I can’t stand any form of hip hop or rap, I shake my head in disapproval every time people play rap, Mexican music or bachata, so I can relate to him not loving something others love, it’s ok with me.

I went to my first AC/DC concert in 2009 (before Malcolm Young passed away 😢) and it was such a thrill. One of the best nights of my life. I was 13 when I started listening to them in 1993. Still loving /DC to this day! ⚡⚡
Bought Back in Black on vinyl back in 1981. Still my favourite metal album and supposed to be the second best selling album of all time!
I used to see them as a pub/small venue band when they first started. Like so many great Australian artists and bands in the 80’s we were so spoiled.
The world is only now discovering their music.

Between Rome life’s energy and excitement in his videos to rob squads facial expressions I’m hooked !
How can you not love the energy of Angus Young playing guitar. I'm now 61 and grew up on 70's classic rock and to me it's always the best. When music was played by musicians and not synthesizors and today no instruments at all and voice enhancement. Thunderstruck is a classic and this is probably the best reaction I've seen.

I'm always shocked when I meet someone who hasn't been exposed to 1970-1990 music. To me it's like meeting someone who hasn't seen colours before. I wouldn't know people like that existed if it wasn't for channels like this. Good on him for having a look though.

Bro....I'm 30 years old and have been a rock and roll fan since day one. However, I've never appreciated the beat and pace of a GOOD rock song till I started listening to hip hop. It makes me wonder if James' friend feels the same lol. Super enjoyable video man well done to the both of you!! Added to favorites for sure.
A lot of people don't realize that it shares roots with Jazz and Blues. AC/DC is heavily blues influenced. Drumming techniques, timing, guitar techniques. Hip hop also started that way. A lot of the early stuff sampled works from early rock, jazz, and blues too.
Default in my mind soundtrack when I avoid a traffic accident.

I was hoping to find this video after watching RobSquadReactions and seeing how much he loves AC/DC. I was grinning the entire first half of the video watching him shake his head and make sour faces. And then...that involuntary head bob starts. He looks confused. "Wait a minute! What's going on?!" I burst out laughing. Yep, you been hooked by the best!! It's all over now!! There's no going back!!
Never say you hate a certain genre of music. Good music is good music. If you shut yourself off from all the flavors, you're just living a vanilla life and you're missing out on all the rest.

You can't hate a particular genre of music just because you heard one or two songs and didnt like them. It's about opening up your mind, ditching your prejudices and explore. I'm a rock fan, but have no problem listening to some hip hop, country or pop, cuz I often find I appreciate and end up downloading it. When you live your life in a genre box, you let so much brilliance pass you by.

Hey dude! New subscriber here! This is my favorite video of yours! I LOVE IT! I am really enjoying watching you react to this classic rock. My sons are from the generation before you and this makes me nostalgic for when I was introducing this to rock and roll. I'm impressed that a young man like yourself is willing to be open and learn about new genres of music! Please consider looking up each song after you listen to it. Knowing when a song was released will help you "place" it into a specific era of rock music (defined I think by the introduction of a new sound within the genre). For example, 80s rock introduced hair bands while 90s rock leaned more toward alternative rock. I think this will give you a better understanding about the history of rock and how it has evolved over the years. I would like to see your reaction to that info as well. Just a suggestion dude. From a 50 year old white lady: I love it and Keep it up!
