Angus Young is AC/DC's iconic lead guitarist. No one has ever moved and played like him before, especially when he was younger. He was non-stop for over two hours, and during ever single show on their tours. They are arguably the GOAT of rock and roll. I can't think of any other band that has so many classic riffs and songs. Waiting for a biopic film to be made about them!
Thank you Jeff316. Great information. I'm learning so much about AC/DC. I'm surprised they haven't made a film yet.
Thought he got his moves from chuck berry
@@Amari73726 Lol...Berry originated a very elementary form of the "duck walk", but Angus took it to a whole other level, to the point now where it is synonymous with him. Angus also included a variety of other moves and was basically non-stop for over two hours, every single show. He was an absolute monster on stage.
@@paulwilliams7063 Yes...I'm aware of that, but Angus stands head and shoulders above Berry in his movement, playing, and song writing.
@@jeff316 lol 😂
I'm a 68 y o and have seen this band 3 times ! You never sit down during the entire concert , the energy is crazy !
Same age 68. I first saw AC/DC live at the Mathew Flinders Hotel (Chadstone) a Melbourne Pub around 75 / 76. Angus got himself into a bit of trouble. He jumped onto a table & knocked jugs of beer everywhere. The Patrons weren't impressed. Lol
Only 57 here, but I agree. They are one of the best live bands ever in terms of energizing the audience.
@@matthewkirkhart2401 Only 35 here and I agree too! Only seem them once but it's def one of the best ive been too. Either AC/DC or The Hives. The Hives are insane live! Their singer really knew how to work the audience!
seen them twice in the early 80's you are 10005 correct on the eneggy generatetd. these guys understand Head Bangers now@@rodairs1575
Angus has seriously only ever played guitar in AC/DC, since he was a school kid at 16 in school uniform.. he is now 67.. its his thing..
You both have been "THUNDERSTRUCK" !! Congrats and welcome to the 'best' !!! 🤣👍
We sure have. 😁👍🏿
You have to realize the opening guitarist, Angus, he is playing that one-handed and then there's a few other times throughout the song where he plays one-handed, this is standard for him. He's pretty amazing and then his brother, the one with the long dark hair is probably one of the best rhythm guitarists in rock and roll history, he writes the majority of their music, overall a completely amazing band.
Their album Back in Black was the 2nd best selling record of all time!! You should do the title track. The whole album doesn’t have a bad song.
Highest selling hard rock album of all time, beat out by Michael Jackson's Thriller album, a different genre.
And THE most stolen cassette tape of all time, too! (I lost 2)
ACDC’s Back in Black was used as the soundtrack to the movie Iron Man.
one of the first I ever purchased... geez that was a long time ago

Angus young is the guitarist his brother is on rhythm guitar Malcolm, Brian Johnson is the singer He replaced Bon Scott After his death in the early 80s
Thank you Terry Connelly for that info. Very helpful. 🙂 👍🏿 -- Corey Roy
@@thisisitreactions You should listen to one of the songs the original singer, Bon Scott, sang. A good one: ‘It’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock ‘n’ roll’ 🎸
Also fair to note is that Bon Scott actually said if he ever died Brian Johnson should replace him before any of the other members had heard him sing.
Angus is doing the duck walk- an homage to the Great Chuck Berry. Very happy you liked this! I saw them with the original singer Bon Scott at Oakland Coliseum- check him out too
I saw them in ettalong teenage dance
Angus was literally 12 years old and was exactly the same. Long time ago I was also about 12
I was at the days on the green in 1979 at the monsters of rock
damn you are lucky was already gone when i started listening but both him and Brain rock so hard just different ways
Welcome to CLASSIC ROCK! Best music generation EVER
When I see people react to this band for the first time the one thing that they are ALWAYS surprised by is Brian's voice.
Secondly, they're shocked by Angus' guitar playing and they have to know his name.
Imagine they heard him talk like...
Check out live from River Plate Argentina. Appreciate the massive crowd and the band. These are literal rock gods.
It certainly shows just how big this band really is when you watch that.
i prefer Donnington but, still great.
It warms my heart seeing people checking out and reqcting music outside of what they usually listen to especially rock. Warms my heart even more when they like it like you did.
This song was great
Props to anyone that can play this riff with one hand.
AC/DC Absolute legends. The audience at river plate were over 70% 25-30 years old. The band were pushing 60 some over 60. There music transcends generations and that’s when you know your music is the shit. Anyone can attend and have a great fucking time and a night of fun you’ll never forget.
One of if not the most legendary Riffs of all time
I have seen them every time they have played here in Detroit, going all the way back in the 70's, when Bon was still alive. There has never been a band like them, and I really don't think there ever will be. Angus puts you under his spell, and once he has you, that's it. I have lived my life by them , their hard pounding soul. It's all good, live and love hard. They have captured my musical soul.
Angus Young is only 5' 2" tall and he claims that he's never done drugs or drank alcohol in his entrie life. He gets his super high stamina and "drugged out look" from immersing himself 100% into the music. He gets in "the zone". A remarkable human being.
Married since 1980
His wife Ellen is 6'3"
Next year marks 50 years of AC/DC , the juggernauts of Rock n Roll .
Awesome. They are legends
Really need to see a live performance! This was staged of course, but their live shows are just energy from beginning to end. Glad you found them, enjoy and thanks!
That school-boy can play the guitar like nobody’s business….Angus is the pride of Australia! Love y’all in the States!!!
The greatest rock band of all time !!!whole lotta rosie, river plate concert greatest performance of any band anywhere
A lot of people have been saying how epic their live performances are. We can't wait to check them out. -- Corey Roy
Yep the best screaming band
Yes, Rosie live at River Plate
Yes, they are awesome, and as great as that performance was, it is hardly the greatest rock performance ever. It is obviously your favorite ,but that isn't the same thing.
@@justme7185 that's to you, that don't mean nothing to me homie
Angus and the boys kill it every time they hit the stage! Rip Malcom Young
Whole Lotta Rosie (live at River Plate). Or Shoot To Thrill, or from the Bon Scott era “If You Want Blood” although technically Rosie is from the Bon Scott era but that live version is Brian Johnson
I saw the title of this video and i just had to come here and say this: how old are these hip hop fans? Are they babies? How come they haven't heard this iconic song?! It's just unbelievable.
I don't always listen to AC DC but when I do, so do my neighbors 😎
The world was a much better place when young musicians could acknowledge listening to and being influenced by different generes. This is how amazing music is made. Too many artists today listen only to the music in their genres. Which is why 40-50 year old’s are amazed by this music.
And now you're going to recognize it at every sporting event you go to :)
You know it's crazy, you guys pointed out the lead singer sounds like he's about to blow his lungs out any second, but he actually sings like that pretty effortlessly all the time.. good luck for anybody else trying to mimic it in karaoke. Lol 😁👍♥️
Angus is one on his own playing the guitar he plays with one hand too.fabulous ACDC
Angus Young grew up in Australia idolizing Chuck Berry. He's giving Chuck his flowers EVERY SINGLE TIME he's onstage doing Chuck's iconic "Duck Walk" you'll catch A LOT of guitarists doing it. Jimmy Page did it on the "Whole Lotta Love" video. Now you gotta watch AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie"
1974 when I was 12, I saw them live. life long fan, even have the ACDC coins made by the Australian mint
I've listened to AC DC since I was a teenager in the 70's. Awesome band!
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Band! And this song shows why. It makes you sweat just listening to it.
AC/DC My favorite band!!!! I saw them 4x in concert and omg!!!!! Check out videos from Live at River Plate Argentina, I swear the entire country showed up!!!!
That "dance" is in respect and to honor Chuck Berry.👍
Hard Rock has been giving this feeling since 1968. I’m 68 yo now and still, fuck yeah!
They released their first album in 1975 with singer Bon Scott, and released another 6 great albums with him, until Bon's death in 1980. Heartbroken, and with Bon's mother's blessing, they brought on Brian Johnson and released the legendary Back in Black five months after Bon's death. This song is from 1990's The Razor's Edge - 15 years into, and less than halfway through - their legendary career.
These guys are a very well-respected and much-loved band. They never changed their style, compromised, or sold out in any way. I appreciate the positive vibes and energy for the band.
ACDC is one of very few bands where the singer INST the front man.
Angus Young is a living legend, considered one of the best guitarist who ever lived not only among regular people but amog other legends.
Once called "The monster of Rock". a title later attributed to the entire band.
Aussie lads from down under. Guitarist is Angus Young. He wears a schoolboy uniform because he used to run from school right to band practice and the look stuck. Do "Hell's Bells" next...
Angus will be crazy like this the whole concert. Energy Everlasting.
I have no Idea what he is singing, but the energy and the rhythm feels very raw and primeval. I can see how the young get carried away like a tsunami wave.
This song rocks and did you notice Angus was playing with one hand at end of video , Angus plays that guitar and is a legend. I love that group ,you feel the energy with them and want to dance and have fun , thats pure rock , they are still playing and performing
Angus Young guitar god. If he's not moving, he's not playing. Called the duck walk, his version from Chuck Berry.
Back in black
Hells Bells
I saw the "Back in Black" concert in Dallas,TX in 1978! That Whole weekend was A T R I P !
AC/DC is the bomb...
The original "Thunder from Down Under" since 1973! Let There Be Rock!
Good Reaction Guys but this song @RIVER PLATE in front of 80,000+ is sensational,as you will see....lol
Hi IsleofSkye. Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the suggestion as well. 😁👍🏿
AC/DC
Back in Black
Hells Bells
You Shook Me All Night Long
Australia’s original international rock band was The Easybeats, which Angus and Malcolm’s older brother George Young was part of.
I have still got "Friday On My Mind" every week when I start work on a cold, wet, wintry Monday morning:)
Thank you. I'm learning so much about them.
Friday on my mind? Oh wow. We'll have to check that one out too. Thanks 😁👍🏿
@@thisisitreactions Hello,My Friends.
Our friend mentioned another 1960's Australian Group: "The Easybeats" and I was joking with him as their greatest hit was "Friday On My Mind".
That song is not AC/SC.
Good Luck..
Have a listen to the album by The Marcus Hook Roll Band it as Malcolm.Angus,,George and Alexander young playing on it .Listen especially to the track Silver Shoes and Strawberry wine Malcolm does a brilliant guitar solo
Great reaction you two!!!!!! Welcome to the rabble hole called AC/DC!!!!! This has to be the greatest Blow Job song ever written!!!!!! The lads obviously enjoyed their tours in Texas over the decades and after all our ladies do know how to have/give a good time!!!! Obviously it impressed them enough to make a song about it!!!!! Just saying!!! So says Austin Tx!!!! 😎🍸
LOL. We're really excited. 😁 🤟🏾
for those about to rock live at river plate.
I'm old. I've been a fan since the late 70s. These guys are my favorite band to see in concert. 110% every time. I go to see them every time that I can. The crowds are great. A good time. These guys are like family.
64 year young Aussie couldn't agree more
I saw them in Austin Texas in 1977 at 'The Armadillo World Headquarters'. A converted National Guard Armory. It was AC/DC's first American appearance. They were the opening act for a band called Moxy. Might have been 1200 people there. The stage was only 3' high and there was a beer bar on each side
Fantastic band, listen to highway to hell with them at River plate
Glad you enjoyed the video Anderslekander. Thank you so much for the suggestion as well. We're excited to see more. 🙂 -- Corey Roy
I love to watch people react to this song. I’m 57 now and have been listening to them since my teens. You should really checkout more of their stuff, I’m sure you’ll soon be rocking and grabbing your air guitars.
River Plate For Those About To Rock, you will not be disappointed
This song was used in the movie Varsity Blue and also used in the movie Battleship
You get all the energy from just the video... imagine the concerts, best show I've ever seen and I've seen them 4 times. You should review "You Shook Me All Night Long" and "Back in Black" these are both with Brian Johnson and going back to the original lead singer Bon Scott "Ride On" would be a good one. Bon Scott died 1980 from acute alcohol poisoning... he had been out drinking with friends passed out in his car and choked to death on his vomit, like Jimi Hendrix.
Love, Love this song!
AC/DC Thunderstruck AUSTRALIA'S #1 EXPORT......
Im from Italy 😅🇮🇹 and i now ACDC 💪🏼🔥
Common man! Where are you live the last century!
Thank you for this video
Now you can see why you saw so many AC⚡DC tee shirts.
They are one of the biggest stadium performance rock bands in history, probably along
You could very easily run into Brian at a gas station, he's from outside of Newcastle in the north of England. He's a very down to earth guy,"just one of the lads".
The tee is iconic
I'm glad you liked it guys. I first saw AC/DC in concert back in Nov '78, from the upper circle in the theatre, with a ticket that cost me £1.80! This video is 33 years old now, and the rhythm guitarist, Malcolm Young, Angus' brother, has since died. AC/DC was co-founded by Malcolm, and it was always 'his' band. He guided them from their beginnings back in 1974 to be the behemoth it is today. Here's a video with Bon Scott, the original singer who tragically died in Feb. 1980. ruclips.net/video/n0y_s_uuVZQ/видео.html. Bon was a unique character and he wrote the majority of early AC/DC songs, and probably, some of the songs on Back in Black (his 'lyrics notebook' in which he constantly worked on songs, mysteriously disappeared after his death...). Back in Black was the first album recorded with the then-new singer, Brian Johnson. Bon's songs have continued to form about half the band's setlist on their tours, even 40 years after his death. AC/DC were relentless in their touring, especially in the early years. I would be surprised if any other band has worked as hard as they have over the years. RIP Bon and Mal
Best Thunderstruck reaction I've ever watched fellas! 👍
What's amazing is they kept that pace for a two hour or more show!!
ACDC is great... but they're even better live in concert. Their show at River Plate in Argentina in 2009 is legendary.
It's so funny watching you guys enjoy this from my teenage years. I had a AC/DC shirt an was my favorite group and favorite songs. 35 years later my CD and tshirt is stolen from me by my son who also loved them!!! LOL!!
No you cannot lie 😂 you were both bopping your heads through the whole thing! Love AC DC
We were 😆
once angus young was asked what it felt like to be the greatest guitar player of all time, and he said 'man, i'm not even the greatest guitar player in this band' hehe
For Those About To Rock....probably my fav.
Notice how Angus is playing lead intro with only one hand??? Amazing talent he learned when he was preteen and wanted to play with the big boys. He was 11, hence the school uniform idea.
You guys just witnessed one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
You damn right its dope! When I listen to AC/DC , so do my neighbors! Ok, FYI the school boy outfit. Angus Young learned to play the guitar with his older brothers at a very young age. Growing up, he ouldnt wait to get home from school, get nthe garage and jam with his older brothers. His dad always told him to change your clothes before going out in the garage. He couldnt. So he kept playing inhis school clothes and it became a motiff for the band.
When they began to get popluar the critics made fun of his outfit, saying they sounded awful and had a kid dressed up as a spoiled child. So the brothers made fun back and asked Angus if he could play the guitar and throw a temper tantrum on the floor at the same time. So in the garage he laid on the floor , kicked his legs and continued to play rock and roll. They put it in their show and it became another icon for the band. Watch "LET THERE BE ROCK", which could be a little Blasphemas as they sing God created Rock and Roll. Angus does the Tantrum Tantrum playing the guitar and laying down kicking his legs in the air. AC/DC fans go ape shit when he does this on stage. Watch "let there be rock" LIVE.
So enjoyable to watch folks experience them for the first time
The best hype song out there. Excellent reaction.
Check out "It's a long Way to the Top", with Bon Scott singing.
this my friends is what they call a BANGER !!!!
Love to watch when others discover great rock/AC/DC for the first time. Angus is a phenomenal guitarist. They r amazing in concert. Thanx so much, take care, Peace
That dance is called the “Duck Walk”. Chuck Berry did it back in the 50’s, then Angus picked it up.
The guitarists, Angus (lead guitar) and Malcolm (rhythm) Young founded the band in 1974 in Sydney, Australia. The school boy outfit was because kids needs to wear uniforms to school in Australia and when they would jam after school, he would still be wearing his school clothes.
you should watch their grammy performance. keeping in mind that brian the singer is about sixty at the time and angus is in his late fifties at the time. incredible performance
Can this really be from 33 years ago?? You'll nver forget this song now. Very interesting story about this band, worth checking out. Loved your reaction to Thunderstruck.
His dad did. Was behind Angus starting on the guitar. He always said he wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for his dad
I was lucky enough to see them live at Rup arena Kentucky in 89-90 or so, Awesome show,
Gym playlist.
Brian Johnson is the lead singer. He was previously in a band named Geordie. He replaced Bon Scott, after Bon died.
The first lead singer was Bon Scott. He died so they had to replace him with a similar voice. This guy Brians voice is awesomly unique also. Love this band
Hard Rock Blues is basically what it’s called 😎🤙🏻
ACDC = Hard Rock. Angus was still in school when they started playing, hence the school uniform, it just stuck. As an Aussie they're in your blood whether you like them or not, I'm pretty sure they've been going since the 70's, when I was in nappies (I'm 50). Dad's record collection just wouldn't be the same without them. Cheers, love ya work as usual
Greart reaction, thanks guys
Well, if you saw every😎one rocking an AC/DC t-shirt.. and you didn't check out this Aussie band, you were definitely missing out! Now, aren't you sorry you didn't check them out decades ago?! LOL!
56 yr old lady here, ACDC was the shit growing up!! 18 studio albums and NOT ONE has a smarmy ballad like so many 80's sale out rock bands of the 80's did! Pure unadulterated ROCK!!!
Any of their songs Live at River Plate are AMAZING!
This song is just... an experience.
Great reaction fellas. You guys really need to watch AC/DC clips from their 2009 Riverplate concert in Argentina. Awesome concert and amazing crowd . Well worth a look. Tracks to look for are Back in Black, The Jack, Highway to Hell, Hells Bells, Whole Lotta Rosie, and Let there be Rock. You won’t be disappointed. 👍🏼🎸
Add “Shot down in flames” to that list 😉
ACDC! LOVE From AUSSIELAND!!!💖🦘🪃
🇨🇦 Neither of you realized that Guitar riff in the beginning (by Angus), and whenever it was repeated, was played with ONE hand !
Which is just bloody AMAZING!!
I understand this riff was an exercise Angus used to do before recording and the band eventually picked up on it and ran with it.
Now I got goosebumps on top of goosebumps this song winds me up. Lol. I’m a 61-year-old Headbanger.
You should see them live. They pack a stadium. And heir lead singer is Brian Johnson, form North East England. Now lives in LA and drives a car named Thunderguts.
They’ve been around for 40 years most discipline band ever
Rest in peace Malcolm Young! You were the greatest!
