Yes you are exactly right Angus played with a wireless setup!!!!! The very first system he used was in 1977 at the show in NY at the Palladium and it was a Schaffer-Vega diversity system, which was a bulky system, the transmitter was usually duct taped to Angus’ guitar to avoid any movement or disconnection from the guitar jack, at one point it possibly even being implanted into the cavity of his Gibson SG to help with stability of the unit during Angus’ wild stage antics. Angus would continue to use these systems for at least a decade or more. More recently, Angus (and Malcolm) have been using the Lectrosonics wireless guitar systems on stage. You asked!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!!! 😎🍸
If you pause at 05:09 you can briefly spot the powerpack and transmitter attached to the back of his strap. In those days the jack was corded to that, but now I think its all in a jackplug 😮
Angus Young once said: " I hate it when people say weve made 11albums that all sound exactly the same, cause weve made 12 albums that sound exactly the same."
Guitars at that time were using a radio signal to connect to the amps. AC\DC uses a lot of amps in their set up. This is very much a live performance and this was one of the quieter songs.
with ac/dc it's impossible be "quiet". They use the amps to the highest level. They don't use gain, overdrive or distortion. The use only volume. So they are the opposite to be quiet
Guys, I was using the term "quiet" in terms of a AC\DC concert. They are never quiet and maybe a better term could be "a little less energetic?" I think you know what I mean.
Shoot to Thrill, Highway to Hell, Whole Lotta Rosie, and Let There Be Rock are ALL bangers from River Plate. Seen them 3 times. They all have wireless receivers to the speakers. Angus was one of the first rock people to ever have wireless. He had to because he is constantly moving.
This might be the only concert I’ve seen where the crowd was as impressive as the band. It seems like they knew every word, they knew when the chorus was coming… passion and IQ… I can’t imagine what it must feel like to perform in front of that sea of fans.
Love your reactions, guys! As an Aussie, AC/DC was everywhere. I still don’t know how they do it, but the beats are always dead straight, but somehow still have this phat swagger. Hey if you’re keen for just one more track from this River Plate show - check out ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’. Great footage of the crowds too. X
It is a wireless guitar system. The transmitter is on his guitar strap somewhere on his back, which sends a signal to a receiver, and then to his guitar amp. I own one, they are awesome for a live performance.
Cables were a thing of the past then. It was a dedicated frequency, using radio signals from the amps of which there are many, picked up only by the guitars on stage. Seen AC/DC quite a few times and the sound unique to them. That crowd 😍 Argentina,at the River Plate football stadium in Buenos Aires. Superb, the whole fucking concert is superb. Wish I’d been there.
Day on the Green #3 1978 Lineup: Aerosmith , Foreigner, Pat Travers, Van Halen, & AC/DC W/Bon Scott. My ears rang for days afterwards. Absolutely mind blowingly incredible. It really did spoil us Boomers with sooo much original great music.
This is my favorite song of all times! It was played to actually played by Black Hawks when a fallen pilot was being held hostage to let him know they were searching for him & they hadn't given up.
Hi guys. If you look at the guitar strap on Angus’s back there is a black thing with a radio antenna. And a receiver on the amp for it. Great reaction.
Saw them in 1979 and Angus was "wireless" back then. That also allowed him to move more freely. They played in support of Aerosmith and absolutely smoked them.
Malcolm Young - the greatest rhythm guitarist ever was also battling Alzheimer at the time, but managed a 200 date world tour. He had to practice the songs he had written and played for decades every day to keep fit. He is an inspiration to all with the same battle, don't give up on life and your passion - my close one is battling the same battle and Malcolm is a huge inspiration. Sadly he passed, but left a legacy that will be the Mozart of our times, still remembered, played and referenced centuries after we are all gone. Great reaction. Thank you. Could you do Manowar - Warriors of the World United LIVE. It is a killer reaction track!
You dudes are great, I'm digging how AC/DC is winning you guys over. River Plate is the most electrified crowd I've ever seen. The fans don't hold back, they light it up and just keep burning. AC/DC still rocks hard considering they're all some kids grandpa!!!! You guys just gotta sit back one day and play the whole Back in Black album!! When this album hit, the people were awestruck at how powerful it was ,it played on the radio everywhere you went for literally a year straight and dominated the airwaves !!! Angus Young believe it or not drinks milk and eats chocolate bars, he doesn't do any drugs or drinking of any kind. He is a force of nature on guitar and stage presence!
River Plate Stadium, called "El Monumental", home to the River Plate futbol (soccer) club and the Argentine National Team. Now seats about 85K, but a lot more as you can see, a lot more can fit at field level. Any LIVE performance from River Plate or any other location in Argentina will definitely be an experience. God bless.
Instrument wireless for guitars has been around for ages. A lot of old school musicians still prefer to use high quality cables even live. I use both wireless & cables personally. Wireless is cool, and you can get good units pretty cheap now days. Great reaction fella's.
The wireless system for guitars and bass goes back to the late 70's. For example KISS used it on their 1977 Love Gun Tour. Many examples on that stuff. You guys still have a lot to learn. hehehehe. Rock on !
If you look at the back of the guitar strap you can see what looks like a "walki-talkie" attached on the back, the guitar cord plugs into that and then the sound gets transmitted to the amplifier...just like a wireless microphone.
Aloha wow love y’all reactions especially the middle man he’s got the same as mine Ooorah from an ex marine veteran Vietnam era keep the faith enjoy your channel am a fan roll with the changes from Waikiki Hawaii USA stay in good spirits and best of health to y’all ciaos

You guys have to check out their song from this concert, Let there be rock, Angus does a 15 minutes solo he should be in jail for what he did to his guitar and I’m pretty sure this is at the end of the concert so he been playing for almost two hours, Im from Australia and I’ve been lucky enough to see them twice they’re the best live live band bar none
Yes, it's a wireless transmitter/receiver. He has a small pack on his guitar strap in the back. I first saw them in 1979 and he used this system way back then.
They are just as good in concert I went to ac/dc in 1995 The Thunderstruck Tour in South Florida I was on the floor row F best concert ever Angus Young the lead guitarist look at the pack on his side that makes it so it doesn't need a wire
@@barrydunn682 Dude? River Plate stadium has a game day capacity of 76,000 in the stands. Not including all these people on the field. They only lose 5-6000 "seats" during a concert. And that is an international soccer pitch, not an American football field. Its nearly 4x as large.
I saw them in concert in 😊1978 Kansas City and nowhere near that size of a crowd. There was supposedly nearly 200,000 that attended that concert. 🔥. Anything AD/DC is worthy of a reaction.
AC/DC, Kiss and Van Halen pioneered the cordless guitar back in the late 70s. Only the bell and cannons or on tape. That bell by the way is the same bell used in the recording of the song.
If you pause the video and look at Angus guitar strap. It has a transmitter on it plugged into the guitar. With a battery pack. The amps have a receiver. That is how it works
Well the question of what is the guitar doing to be connected to the amp, wireless system. More than likely Angus is using a UHF system because they are known to have a better signal with distance between the amp and guitar without interference. VHF is another wireless system but is more likely to get interference between the guitar and amp signal. Love ❤️ Peace ✌️ and Happiness 😃 Y'all !!!

Best live crowd I have ever seen. No one can do it like these guys. Everyone loves them universally across the globe.

There is a lot of talent packed into that 5'2" frame of Angus's.
The most unique voice in rock and roll history
What’s freaking amazing is that the crowed is the younger generation and AC/DC still kicking A$$!!
Angus Young once said: " I hate it when people say weve made 11albums that all sound exactly the same, cause weve made 12 albums that sound exactly the same."
All perfect
The GOAT
I was honored to have attended the "Back in Black" concert in Dallas in 1979 ❤💯💥
Guitars at that time were using a radio signal to connect to the amps. AC\DC uses a lot of amps in their set up. This is very much a live performance and this was one of the quieter songs.
Please do If You Want Blood (You Got It)!! Early years with Bon Scott. Check out how young they are.
This was a QUIET song?! That's practically sacrilege! With AC/DC, ain't no such thing as QUIET!
I've seen them 17 times live. They were never "quiet."
with ac/dc it's impossible be "quiet". They use the amps to the highest level. They don't use gain, overdrive or distortion. The use only volume. So they are the opposite to be quiet

Don't forget these are all Grandpa age guys that's been playing since the '70s. All these guys are in their 60s now still doing that
AC/ DC start 1973 / 74 in Australia and 2023 are still on stage , the Song is from the 1980 Album : Back in Black
ACDC has had a global following since the beginning
They are pure rock n roll, and their music transcends borders
Shoot to Thrill, Highway to Hell, Whole Lotta Rosie, and Let There Be Rock are ALL bangers from River Plate. Seen them 3 times. They all have wireless receivers to the speakers. Angus was one of the first rock people to ever have wireless. He had to because he is constantly moving.
I saw them with Bon Scott in the 70's and they have remained my fav band since then.
Imagine that's something like 80,000 people all getting along in one spot
My very first concert was in an arena seeing ACDC WHEN THAT BELL RINGS IT VIBRATED YOUR BODY IT WAS AWESOME
Mine too, I was thirteen. The bell vibrated every cell in ur body but so did those big ass speaker arrays!
You saw the radio device on his back 5:09
This is a great performance, but in my opinion, the "Whole Lotta Rosie" performance at this concert is the best that I have seen.
That crowd had enough energy to power a small town 💯🔥
1975 was when this first came out. I’m 63 and glad I got to see these guys a few times back in the 70s when Bon was still with us.
Soy de Argentina que lindo ver reunida tanta cultura de la mano del rock
Love ❤Qween I was 12yrs at sleep over and we all stayed up till 12:00 am to see The Midnight Special and we all blowed away 😅 Love you guys❤
Wireless transmitter on Angus's guitar strap and also Malcolm's and Cliff's.
Amazing that they were in their mid-60's at the time and still sound that good today. Those guys are incredible!
Nope, they weren’t that old then. It was 15 years ago, that would they’re 80 now lol.
Angus was born in 1955, do he was 54 at the time. Now he's 69.
My error. In any case, they are a great band.
@@tommykinikin9335 No problem - as long as you keep following them. BTW - tickets are available today for their North American tour next year.

yea the old day cords used to crackle all the time now they they use wireless connections. acdc lota energy thanks guys :)
There is a box they wear usually hooked to the back of their pants. Or on their side. It transmits wirelessly to the amp.
Argentina has to have the best rockers on the planet!
I WAS ON Cruse and saw concert on it and the fans sat in layers like that
Nothing like a bit of AC DC to get the blood pumping in the morning...
Yes, guitarists and bassists can and often do use a wireless unit similar to a wireless mic.
So the lead guitarist is Angus. Young and his brother is on the base and his name is Malcolm Young. He's the one that started the band.❤🎉
Have you guys reacted to AC/DC "Whole lotta Rosie" yet ? It's a must hahaha!
"Highway to Hell" from this concert (or whenever). Love y'all's access to happiness.
