He's so consistent that it feels he's a robot where you punch in your codes and it will keep on drumming for days without breaking the tempo, fills etc.
River Platte in 2009 was attended by 300k. Now. You do what Angus Young does with that guitar at 54. Which is how old he was in 2009 for a 3 hr show 3 nights in a row running and dancing across that stage. Blows my mind.
They played at my high school in Laverton Victoria just outside Melbourne and Bon Scott was the singer before he died .They had just bought out their High Voltage album. I was only 14. They used to be a pub band.
never saw them at school but saw them at the pub near the speedway a couple of times. Old Laverton boy myself. The Tarmac was the name of the pub, big fights most nights.
Remember, this is a South American audience. Two nights, over 200,000 a night, sold out cold. OMFG look at that crowd! Notice we all took off our shirts, too. This was the Fly on the Wall tour and I saw that concert in Knoxville, Tennessee. I yelled so much I was almost voiceless for 2 days. What a night. I also saw the Highway to Hell, Back in Black, and For Those About to Rock tour concerts. No band ever put on a show as good as AC/DC and with bands like Rush out there, that's really saying something. 😛🤘❤
The sign of any guitar god is his ability to make a connection with his audience. He loves to play for them and they in turn show him love. If you can make that kind of connection with his fans they will be lifelong loyal followers.
Angus Young is easily the greatest guitarist in the world. Nobody else has ever performed a guitar solo of this length and intensity. The greater the crowd reaction the wilder Angus will get. I have never seen anyone else who has his intensity for an entire 3 plus hours like he does for every performance.
Angus was the very definition of "oh you thought I was done? sucka i was just getting started " lol . That show was awesome, the crowd chants were practically fueling his playing and I love it, one of the best crowds I've seen in a show. Definitely got their moneys worth for sure. Can't believe how much energy they have for their age lol especially Angus to be guitar rollin' on the floor like that and playing perfectly practically lol. AC/DC are legends for a reason
That song & performance alone was worth the price of the ticket....... FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........................................ You two take care....
eddi van halen, ritchie blackmore, tony iomi, angus young, doug aldrich, jimmy page, david gilmour, hendrix, stevie ray vaughn, carlos santana, my top 10 greatest rock and metal guitarists alltime
If Angus is not in your top 5. your nuts But everyone forgets Malcom he has to keep up and play rhythm In my mind Malcom is in the top 10 and will long live in my memory.
The other thing to notice about AC/DC and some of these other bands is that they don't wear ear monitors or any kind of plugs to muffle the volume. Angus could hear the rest of the band all the way in the crowd because the volume was so loud in the arena. Old school baby!
Phil Rudd simply does not get enough recognition - As solid as it gets, never misses or skip a beat, all whilst sitting chilling with a cigarette in his mouth, like he was reading the newspaper and chilling on the couch.
Back in 1975, when Bonn was burning bright. I would see AC/DC for fifty cent's. Angus the dynamo would make you tired just watching him explode across the stage.
Yeah, they both lead the band vocally in very different ways. I realized recently that Brian has been the lead singer for the band, than Bon's total age 😕
If they could syntheses whatever gives Angus this much energy and motivation and give it to the rest of us we'd completely colonize the entire Universe in about an hour.
You may not forget, this guy is 5 foot, 54 years old, and is rocking like crazy. I would pay anything to see them live again - one last time. Btw, Shoot to thrill is the best live song of them, imo.
They are my number one group but it's hard for me to pick a favorite song. I like to fish and it's like asking me if I had more fun catching my biggest bass or my biggest bluegill. Heck, I had a lot of fun catching both.
I was lucky enough to see them live way back in 1980 during their Back In Black tour. Out of the 100's of concerts I've seen I'd put them in my top 5...so much energy!
Saw them back in 1987 in Sydney on Who made Who tour. I was only 12 at the time. Never ever forget it. All us Aussie bogans came together that night and had a blast.
Saw them in Hannover, Germany while I was stationed there on the who made who tour , one of my mates lost his ticket at the schutsandfest early that day , got right to the front in the middle, brilliant day brilliant night brilliant mates , if I ever build a time machine I will go straight back to that morning of the gig
He's the greatest guitarist he's defo the showman I love the way he re-wrote that part (giantly) or Let's there be rock oh woaw I discovered these guys when i was 17 I think I am 65!! Gosh I enjoyed that guys great reaction drummer the top, bass the best thanks guys and Phil let's not forget the drummer I still miss Angus..
Angus Young youngest bro in the scottish born, Aussie grown Young brothers. As a kid the police woundn't let him in the house after school. His older bro was in a great little band called The Easybeats, fans followed them home, his mum had to come out and vouch for him. he was 16 when AC/DC was forming, Malcom said wait for Angus to audition, he's gonna be very good. the duck walk is his tribute to Chuck Berry. Somebody said Angus could keep in tune and time if he was falling down the steps. One of his bros stayed in england with Harry Vanda to wrote songs, including "Evie, parts 1,2 and 3," for Stevie Wright, lead singer from The Easybeats. AC/DC came from the back of their sister's sewing machine. She made his "school uniforms." He would Practise and gig in uniform after school, aged 16, no time to change first.
I have seen them 3 times & all 3 times they were amazing. Angus Young the crazy awesome guitarist is The best performer ever! Imo. They are always that much energy from beginning to end no matter their age. It's funny to note that even though Angus is like that on stage he is actually very very shy, quiet, humble, & down to earth. Really sweet guy.

check out this song at the glasgow apollo 1978 with Bon Scott. in this clip the drummer Phil Rudd doesn't miss a beat but then the whole rythm section is brilliant.
Possibly the greatest guitar performance by one one of the greatest rock guitarists ever!!
The machine, Phil Rudd! One of the most solid drummers ever!
keeping that beat going all that time.... 💪
He's so consistent that it feels he's a robot where you punch in your codes and it will keep on drumming for days without breaking the tempo, fills etc.
Yeh , he's a Human metronome with a distinct " Rudd " groove .
😁🤟
My 11 year old just started drums and I told him to watch Rudd play. No unnecessary fills, just one of the best keeping time
Malcolm the greatest rythm guitar player ever
Yes!!!
2nd to none.
It's no contest. RIP Mal Young.
Without Malcolm Young, there would never be an AC/DC!!!
RIP
I’m glad you liked it but watch and listen to the master of the song display it. R.I.P Bon Scott xxx
Cliff Williams is a clock. In the background but gluing it all together. What a machine.

This a true sample of how musicians used to play rock-n-roll. Unlike the noise you hear now a days.
The guitar god Angus, no one can match him, remember he was in his 50's at this concert of over 200,000 in Argentina.
300k

Phil Rudd is a fucking monster. NEVER wavers
The sign of any guitar god is his ability to make a connection with his audience. He loves to play for them and they in turn show him love. If you can make that kind of connection with his fans they will be lifelong loyal followers.
Así es , eso se nota mucho , en mi país Argentina amamos el rock .
Exactly right. It's a conversation between the musicians and the audience. Ideally an intimate conversation.
My favourite AC/DC song. I love the offical video from the 70s with Bon, filmed in an old Church in Sydney
Too me the only one better is It’s a long way to the top. But both are awesome
Live in Glasgow 1978 is my favourite performance of theirs. It's amazing. Love Bon.
I prefer the video with Bon Scott, too. 👍🇦🇺
Me too I miss Bon Scott
The video where they told Bon "Go break a leg." So he did.
Angus Young is easily the greatest guitarist in the world. Nobody else has ever performed a guitar solo of this length and intensity. The greater the crowd reaction the wilder Angus will get. I have never seen anyone else who has his intensity for an entire 3 plus hours like he does for every performance.
Just saw them yesterday. Holy shit that solo was good 20 min. long 😎🤘
Nothing like taking a 4 min song and stretching the hell out of it .., pure musical mastery
6 minutes

Could have powered the planet with the crowd energy from this show!
Phil Rudd is a BEAST
That song & performance alone was worth the price of the ticket....... FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........................................ You two take care....
AC/DC has the tightest rhythm section
Put Angus right up there with Jimi, Eddie, SRV, Page and whoever else...one of the most epic solos ever

Oh, no, not even close to Page, SRV, Eddie. Not even close.
Angus is on another level as far as crowd pleasing goes.
The other thing to notice about AC/DC and some of these other bands is that they don't wear ear monitors or any kind of plugs to muffle the volume. Angus could hear the rest of the band all the way in the crowd because the volume was so loud in the arena. Old school baby!
No one could match Angus's energy! So great live!
I've seen them 25 times over the years, and even in late 50s put on a better show than anybody today
Phil Rudd simply does not get enough recognition - As solid as it gets, never misses or skip a beat, all whilst sitting chilling with a cigarette in his mouth, like he was reading the newspaper and chilling on the couch.
V V famous Aussie band. With a huge worldwide following. Look at this massive crowd in Argentina at the River Plate.
I've seen them many times over the years. They play outside for at least 3 hours
And, Angus never stops moving. Loudest Band ever
Back in 1975, when Bonn was burning bright. I would see AC/DC for fifty cent's. Angus the dynamo would make you tired just watching him explode across the stage.
I like Brian and he has done an awesome job. But Bon Scott was something else. He was just too raw for this world.
Yeah, they both lead the band vocally in very different ways. I realized recently that Brian has been the lead singer for the band, than Bon's total age 😕
@@glenchapman3899 I miss you Bon Scott😩 such an amazing front man
I love these two reactors. Their joy is so real and infectious.
If they could syntheses whatever gives Angus this much energy and motivation and give it to the rest of us we'd completely colonize the entire Universe in about an hour.
And the band didn't miss a beat during that long solo! All credit to them!
I touched Angus in the 70's because they were newer in a small venue & he ran up & down the aisles. Super cool!
. LIVE IN ARGENTINA ... best thing ever
Would give anything to go back in time to that concert , one of the greatest moments in rock history...♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
No bullshit band ..this is as flamboyant as they get ..for the fans
this is one of many thing i love about Ac/Dc, Angus always put up a solo show all the time for the crowd :) 🤟🤘👏👌
🎸❤
Bon Scott owns this song…my only issue!
Absolutely. I like Brian but Bon was something else. Definitely can never be beaten.
Agree!!
M8 he woulda feckin loved this....
Angus is the face of the band. Malcom was its spine. His rhythm playing is unmatched (he also wrote many of Angus’s solos).
Angus is the quiet one…his late brother, Malcolm, ran the band! I’ve seen all but one tour since they came out. And will continue. 😎
AC/DC River Plate Concert is ADDICTIVE!!!!!
We need a WORLD tour - Love Australia
The Best Rock Band Ever in the world

Angus once said; "I only know one lead break, but it's a doozy!"
The best version of this song is with the original singer,Bon, at The Apollo Theatre in 1978.
Was looking for this comment. Didn't have to go far to find it.
