I was lucky enough to see AC/DC at the Whisky a Go Go nightclub in August 1977 on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, a small club that barely held 500 people. I was about 2 feet in front of the stage! Angus jumped up on the balcony and walked along the thin parapet playing a solo. This song Whole Lotta Rosie was in their playlist that night!!! Glad you guys appreciated it! AC/DC will always be in a realm all their own.

My wife and I went and saw AC/DC and literally couldn’t hear for two days and I will tell you this the sweat that was literally pouring off of Angus proved to me that he put more into his performance than any professional athlete. It was just an incredible show. As for another guitarist to check out is Terry Kath from Chicago. Jimmy Hendrix said Terry was better than him. 25 6 or 4 live at Tangelwood give it a listen.
True!!!! I’ve seen a lot of concerts but the loudest ever by far was AC/DC in 1990 on the Razors Edge tour (Although up close to Priest and Iron Maiden were insanely loud too). Literally deaf afterwards lol. So awesome.
There are a lot of great guitar players out there. But I can't think of one that can match Angus Young's energy. He's not only a great guitar player but he is also a great song writer and a great entertainer. The recipe for a great band!
OK, so we have the biggest blow-up doll on earth, the greatest rock band who ever lived, in front of the greatest rock audience in the history of concerts and that's why you have absolute perfection. I love how they got 'Rosie's' feet tap along with the music, that was so damned cool! The guys were in their 60's when they played this gig back in 2009 and sadly Malcolm Young has since sadly passed away RIP.
Angus may not be one the most technical players, but he is by far the most energetic. In his prime he was running around the stage and just giving it 100%. He was by far the most exciting player to watch. Angus always went out to put on a show and make sure the audience got their moneys worth.
Great reaction guys ! On AC/DC, if you can , watch songs in concert from Donnington. They were younger. Concert is about 18-20 yrs earlier. As far as my top 5 guitarist’s, no particular order. Something many don't realize, most of the well known AC/DC guitar riffs are Malcolm's, not Angus's and Malcolm, through music insiders, is considered one of the all time GREAT Rock Rhythm Guitarists, a top 5.
Angus and his brother Malcolm who passed away we’re both around 5‘3“ tall and so they had to play well Angus had to play Gibson SG because it’s a lightweight and it was easy for him to get up and down the stage with versus a big heavy Les Paul, and he even admits that he called him and Malcolm little fellas
I bought my first AC/DC album when I was 10 years old, it was Highway to Hell and from the first note I was hooked. I have went through many different music styles but AC/DC has always remained my favorite rock band. I rock as hard to them at 57 as I did at 10.

AC/DC is my favorite band but Angus is not the most talented technical guitarist but he is the best live show. As for best technical guitarists, my choices would be Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix.
Corey mentioned that Angus went off for at least 2 minutes in this video. Have you done Let There Be Rock at River Plate yet? Angus does an approximately 17-minute solo in it that I think you have to see.
You know, Fenom, I'm with you 100%. I've never played an instrument before, but I know what I like and, while I like a lot of guitarists, Angus' guitar-playing just sounds different to me. I don't know whether it's the rhythm of their songs or perhaps the speed at which he plays, but I know his guitar sounds fantastic. And it certainly doesn't hurt that, running around bare-chested, he puts every bit of energy he has into their music and looks like he's having a great time doing it. And it also helps that the other members of the band are absolute masters of their craft and their lyrics and music are fire. And RIP Angus' brother Malcolm, of whom Angus said "GOAT? I'm not even the best guitarist in my own family". I'm not sure I'd want them as best buds, though. You do something you're not too proud of with a lady and the next thing you know, these boys are singing a crazy-assed song about it!

There's an amazing version of this live in Paris with Bon Scott where Angus breaks a string or something and has to swap guitars halfway through the song and a roadie comes on and straps it to him while he's still doing a solo. It's unreal.

Bon saw her a few years later and she had lost a lot of weight but yes, she sadly died of a drug OD. At the time she told him he was the 27 th famous musician she had slept with. Angus is a fantastic guitarist but the drums are the driving part of this track and Anguses brother on rhythm guitar shouldn't be underestimated.
story is, as best i understand it... Bon Scott was out partying it up hard, Rosie took his ass home, rode him ALL NIGHT LONG.... when Bon came in late for practice, Angus and Malcom were working on a tune, Bon heard it, told them what happened, they then wrote the song in a few hrs. and we have a hit.
Ok, re - the Slash comment. I was working in Vegas in 1994 and this guy calls me to his table at a club. I was a waitress at a "gentleman's club" and he buys me a drink and tells me he is with this band called Slash's Snake Pit -and asks me if I know any girls who want to come to the show or hang out. He was actually a really nice guy, not creepy. I said, Oh so do you work with the band or play in the band? - He says.. "I'm Slash." 🤣🤣🤣 To be fair he was wearing a baseball cap and while I knew songs by Guns N Roses I didn't follow them overly. I caught hell from all my friends for that for a long time. Later on Slash and Duff and their drummer played at Johnny Depp's bar The Viper Room in LA (I was living out there) and Matt Sorum and I used to kinda hang out at the gigs because I didn't really drink and they were all on the wagon. Super nice guys - very very normal and down to earth. So anyway, I have a far more embarrassing story than the gentleman who mixed up Slash and Axel. Great reaction as ALWAYS
A awesome reaction video, how about doing a reaction to the late great Irish guitar legend Rory Gallagher - Calling Card live in Hammersmith Odeon 1977. Apparently Bon Scott took the Young brothers to see his "Friend" Rosie and she rocked them all till noo the next day... just what I heard. ....
She put it on the first time. Set the tone and taste for the rest of his loving life. Angus is the best.
A picture of the song's namesake has surfaced. When you see it, the song will make more sense.
The greatest Rock & Roll band ever!
story is, as best i understand it...
ACDC GOAT
Millions of us consider Rory Gallagher the greatest guitar player of all, once Jimi Hendrix was asked how does it feel being the greatest guitar player in the world and he said he does not know you would have ask Rory Gallagher. Rory Gallagher is also considered a musician, musician. I hope you guys go down the Rory Gallagher music rabbit hole, I guarantee you will enjoy. Thank you!!!
Rosie had her way with the band. True story 😂
You guys have done a few AC/DC reactions. All of which have been with Brian Johnson at lead vocals. He took over in 1980 when Bon Scott died. Everything from 1974-1980 was Bon on lead vocals. If you want to hear/see Bon, please react to “It’s A Long Way To The Top”. Or even “Let There Be Rock”.
I've loved AC/DC since 1980. Love you guys and I just sbscribed.
