love epica. I saw this band in Paris. an amazing concert ! here a song from it: "consign to Oblivion - live at zenith". But this one is great too: "design your universe - retrospect live" and from the same live: "sancta terra" feat Floor Jansen (Nightwish).
Symphonic metal is king. Epica, Nightwish, and others are the most beautiful expression of metal music. Unfortunately, in the states it is sequestered because of the musical industrial complex. Europe is the mecca of great symphonic metal now.
