Jinjer is one of the best metal bands to come out in the last decade. Tatiana is a vocal goddess and the band is amazing. To appreciate how good this band is, I recommend reacting to their live material. I suggest "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019 for a follow up. Good reaction. (Subbed)
Well, if you like harsh vocals you'll enjoy Jinjer because in most cases their singer Tatiana uses more growls. Much longer, much deeper, sometimes with high pithced screams. She's one of the best female growlers nowadays. This was just a tiny showcase, one of their less heavy songs. And speaking about an odd time signatures. Jinjer (especially last few albums) is all about an odd time signatures, unexpected transitions and unorthodox song structures. If you are not familiar with the song - you'd never predict the next move. Usually you can expect some kind of rollercoaster but it's always different.
There is a crap ton of amazing female fronted metal bands out there. Floor Jansen with Nightwish Simone Simons with Epica in Symphonic Metal. Ad Infinium with Melissa Bonny. Jinjer with Tati, Courtney Laplant with Spirit Box and dozens more.

I always recommend starting at the beginning in order to see and understand their development and change in certain steps and how they have skillfully created their own over the years Musical influences, taste and training cleverly merged with heavy metal to create their own typical Jinjer metal of jazz, classical, RnB, rap hip hop, reggae... They are all such highly talented musicians and are still the hard, difficult, sometimes brutal journey from the Ukraine into the wide world without luxury equipment, computer-based software that brings about Emmy nominations, etc.! Jinjer started out as a metalcore band with 2 guitarisats but now they just have 1. Now they are considered a Progressive Groove metal band for the last few albums. Thats why you get the Pantera feel.
April, welcome to the greatness that is Jinjer. 🍻I first heard Jinjer in '18 and first saw the live in '19. Met them too. I gave Tatiana a cookie monster shirt. I told her why as well.😁 Jinjer is a once in a generation band. They have carved out their own genre is ways. You'll soon hear if you delve deeper. BTW, they are this 58 year old rock musicians' favorite band from this century. 🤘
2:10 - In this case it's far from being a cliché, the whole space background has everything to do with the song's theme. Everything they present in their videos is not for showing off or because it "looks cool", it always relates to the songs. The drummer in this song was Dmitry Kim, their 4th drummer. If you liked the drum work, just wait until you start reacting to the songs from the 5th drummer era. His name is Vlad and he's a classically trained pianist who played guitar in his former band. Then one day his band needed a drummer, so he taught himself how to play the drums and became his band's drummer until he joined Jinjer in 2016. Now he's the best non-Metal drummer in a Metal band, at least to me. 🙂

Ok. Wait. Why is nobody mentioning the elephant in the room? Pisces - Live Session Pisces is the Jinjer video most reactors encounter first. It's the usual intro to this amazing band. It showcases the arresting duality of Tatiana's voice (although it was intended to introduce then-new drummer Vlad). This is an excellent reaction. It's a bit of an unusual place to start. No bad thing--there's no bad Jinjer songs, and Astronomy is one of my favorites. It doesn't have quite the shock and awe of Pisces though. Just sayin. I'm subscribing to see where your Jinjer journey takes you. I wasn't that hip to harsh vocals before I discovered Jinjer. They're now my favorite band. The most compelling band for me since Rush retired. They're even better live than in the studio. They're touring right now, and getting ready to come to the States next month. He recruits some of the most amazing female vocalists (and male) in the Euro scene... the musicianship is absolutely top notch, as are the recordings. A few suggestions: - The Day the World Breaks Down - The Source (2017) (this is not live, but you get a ton of background info, and some wonder male voices) - Everybody Dies (Ayreon Universe version.. 2017) ...must be the Live - an intro the Marcela Bovio, Lissette Van Den Berg (Scarlet Voices), Irene Jansen and her pesky little sister Floor, who must have arrived late to the venue... she still has the pelt of the bear that got in her way, draped across her back. - Intergalactic Space Crusaders - Maggy Luyten and Daemon Wilson get into a well-scripted tiff... so tough to be an interplanetary leader, er, rebel. I didn't take into account all collabrations between the band Jinjer and Tatjana with other artists & bands with live performances or music videos or Tatjana at Videogames!
As an example, Hello Death as a single from April 2022, or with O.P.C !
The order compiled here is not 100% arranged like the album playlist, because sometimes there are no music videos, or they are not good enough quality for me to list here! I started adding to the list, step by step a few years ago with the available songs, qualities and release dates. I'll probably add to the list next year, i.e. more likely at the end / autumn of 2024 when Jinjer starts in the studio with the planned new album!

Jinjer started out as a metalcore band with 2 guitarisats but now they just have 1. Now they are considered a Progressive Groove metal band for the last few albums. Thats why you get the Pantera feel.

April, welcome to the greatness that is Jinjer. 🍻I first heard Jinjer in '18 and first saw the live in '19. Met them too. I gave Tatiana a cookie monster shirt. I told her why as well.😁 Jinjer is a once in a generation band. They have carved out their own genre is ways. You'll soon hear if you delve deeper. BTW, they are this 58 year old rock musicians' favorite band from this century. 🤘

Jinjer definitely throws different styles into them music.
2:10 - In this case it's far from being a cliché, the whole space background has everything to do with the song's theme. Everything they present in their videos is not for showing off or because it "looks cool", it always relates to the songs.
The drummer in this song was Dmitry Kim, their 4th drummer. If you liked the drum work, just wait until you start reacting to the songs from the 5th drummer era. His name is Vlad and he's a classically trained pianist who played guitar in his former band. Then one day his band needed a drummer, so he taught himself how to play the drums and became his band's drummer until he joined Jinjer in 2016. Now he's the best non-Metal drummer in a Metal band, at least to me. 🙂

Pisces - Live Session
Pisces is the Jinjer video most reactors encounter first. It's the usual intro to this amazing band. It showcases the arresting duality of Tatiana's voice (although it was intended to introduce then-new drummer Vlad).
This is an excellent reaction. It's a bit of an unusual place to start. No bad thing--there's no bad Jinjer songs, and Astronomy is one of my favorites. It doesn't have quite the shock and awe of Pisces though. Just sayin.
I'm subscribing to see where your Jinjer journey takes you. I wasn't that hip to harsh vocals before I discovered Jinjer. They're now my favorite band. The most compelling band for me since Rush retired. They're even better live than in the studio. They're touring right now, and getting ready to come to the States next month. It's a great time to be a Jinjer fan. Lots going on! This is more than a rabbit hole--it's a Vortex! Welcome!

A few suggestions:
- The Day the World Breaks Down - The Source (2017) (this is not live, but you get a ton of background info, and some wonder male voices)
- Everybody Dies (Ayreon Universe version.. 2017) ...must be the Live - an intro the Marcela Bovio, Lissette Van Den Berg (Scarlet Voices), Irene Jansen and her pesky little sister Floor, who must have arrived late to the venue... she still has the pelt of the bear that got in her way, draped across her back.
- Intergalactic Space Crusaders - Maggy Luyten and Daemon Wilson get into a well-scripted tiff... so tough to be an interplanetary leader, er, rebel.
There is more from the Fall 2023 concert series in Tilburg, but starting with the 2017 content is always a good move.

Lol Jinjer is ukrainian proggy djent groove metal with complex time-signature maze, polyrhythms and multi-genre blending. They are one of the most talented 4-pieces ever. Tati is one of the best overall metal vocalists and lyricists in the business.
