Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in eight billion. Having watched well over 100 initial reactions to her, only one did NOT say she was "unique".

The recording in the studio is indeed live but before it is aired on TV, it is edited heavily, added lots of effects, pitch corrections are applied. It's really her voice, you can sure about that. And her voice when she talks is just normal, not specifically low. A true contralto she is. Listen to other songs like her rendition of Wicked Game, or Rechenka, or Dernière Danse, and convince yourself that this is really a very, very unique voice we are listening to.

This was a singing variety show. The people you see in the stands were fellow performers. Diana sat there with them when the others sang. They all sang one song every week from a different genre and they ranked the performances excluding themselves. Diana was easily the youngest and least established singer of the group but ended up with the highest point total after two months of shows. I've seen a bunch of reactions to this song from vocal coaches, opera singers etc. and you're the only people who totally didn't get it. That is her natural voice - which you will know already from the comments below. This girl sings polyphonically and she's the most unique singer ever. There was a comment about her on another channel, the person said that she only sang 4 verses because if she did the whole song she would delete the world from existence. Sounds about right. Go and listen to it again, and now maybe pay attention to this absolutely phenomenal siren. Because this is an experience like no other.
She's polyphonic, so that was the last part you heard. This performance was done on a show called "ShowMaskGoOn." And it was the first time many of the judges had ever seen her perform as you could tell by their faces. All of her performances in this show are available I believe in her channel and they are wonderful! If you want to hear her just sing in a room with no effects she sings both a cover of "Havana" by Cabello and my personal favorite a cover of "Take On Me." by Aha in her own room with just a mic. Also this is no where near her current range as Kwstas Vagias has said. He actually has some videos uploaded of her time singing in a show called "Masked Singer" in which she must hide her voice while judges and the audience try to guess who she is. I’m late to the party, having only discovered Diana’s incredible voice near the end of last year. And it was nothing more than a YT short that piqued my curiosity. I found my jaw dropped by that final belted section, when her notes go so huge and robust. She’s now my favorite female vocalist. judging by the fact that you are not wearing headphones, you did not hear half of the song. apparently you like the sound of your own voice if you were mumbling something instead of listening.
I was thinking the same thing. First off, I am listening in headphones and of the 30 or 40 reaction videos to this song, this has the worst audio quality I have ever heard. Secondly they need to listen to it in headphones. Thirdly the talked over the performance. Maybe if they did not do that they would have realized that there were no vocal effects. Fourth, whoever produces for them should have come up with the extended clip where you can here her talk. Fifth, the producer should have informed them there were no vocal effects, which in the long run would have saved them from looking like the dumbest people to ever react to one of her videos.
Her tongue being right in front, resting on her teeth while belting the word “love” is just a tell tell sign that this dark, deep sound is her natural sound. First of all, you need to at least Wikipedia her for the basics of her life story. Then you will begin to appreciate where she's come from. Diana is an amazing talent who has worked very hard to get the range she has. There might be some reverb on the microphone, but they say they play all the equipment straight up. Diana has a polyphonic voice which she developed on her own. She has been doubted by many people who think they know how the voice box and attending parts work and have come to the conclusion that she uses some form of trickery. That is until you listen to her and search out the source of what she does. You will eventually come to the same conclusion as the rest of us, she is just damn good. This is your first contact with Diana and so skeptism will be a normal reaction, for a while. Watch her often enough and her optimism becomes infectious. I do not know why reactors feel the need to talk over the performance, instead of stopping and discussing then back to the performance. Not sure what you meant by effect on her voice, this is her voice. If you had chosen Diana's video from her own channel, it would have been of better quality and not cut short and faded out, additionally this pirated copy has stolen more than 12 million views from Diana. This is a live contest with 9 participants no voice effects are allowed, Diana won this 1st round and had to repeat the song at the end of the show. Each episode was about 2 hours and continued for 9 weeks. Diana competed against established professional singers and won with the overall score in the final show.
i'm not convinced they actually got the full understanding of her voice because they talked all the way through it. I felt a tad concerned that it was so disrespectful to the singer to be honest. Especially one of Dianas calibre. i think it went over their head.

Sorry for the length of this post, but there is a lot of information to give you about Diana Ankudinova, starting with her cover of the Elvis Presley classic, "Can’t Help Falling In love". Let’s begin with a little background to give some context to this performance. This performance took place on September 25, 2021, during the inaugural season of a new Russian vocal competition called the “ShowMaskGoOn!”, when Diana Ankudinova was 18 years old. During her “Can’t Help Falling In Love” performance, her vocal range was measured, and Diana’s functional range goes from a low of C3 (male Tenor range) to a high of B♭5, (female Mezzo Soprano range). You are asking a very commonly asked question about Diana’s unique voice, and that question is, how does she do it? How can such a young female singer achieve such a low, rich, deep, round, rich, profound, and resonant sound? Without the ability to actually scope her vocal tract while she is producing those low notes to actually see what is happening within her vocal tract, the general conciseness of many vocal professionals is simply attributing Diana's ability to her winning the genetic lottery, meaning it appears Diana was just born with unique vocal anatomy. Diana's vocal folds (vocal cords) appear to be longer and thicker than the vast majority of female singers. Her larynx, (voice box), likewise appears to be larger and similarly her laryngopharynx, (throat), also appears to be longer and wider than the vast majority of female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity (mouth). It’s this combination anatomical structures that appears to give Diana Ankudinova the ability to produce the low, deep, rich, and full sounds she is known for, but without actually scoping her vocal track to verify, there is no way to be 100% sure. For this competition Diana’s cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love”, was the last performances on the first night of this competition. Diana showed what many vocal professionals have been saying since Diana was 14, and based on Diana’s previous vocal competition’s, and concert performances, she has now developed into what many vocal professionals believed she always was, a true Contralto voice type, but not just a Contralto, but a Dramatic Contralto voice type. This performance can be broken down into 4 distinct sections, (1) during the opening of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” Diana’s low regular Contralto voice is on full display. (2) She then goes up an octave to what would be considered a normal upper range for a female singer. (3) The improvement to her upper range is also on display during the middle portion of this performance, and finally, (4) The depth and power of Diana’s voice during the final section demonstrates she is not just a Contralto, but is a “Dramatic Contralto”, and a Dramatic Contralto has the lowest, deepest, darkest, richest sound and is the most powerful of the contralto voice types. It is also the rarest of the very rare Contralto voice types. At the end of this performance, the full power of Diana’s Dramatic Contralto voice is on full display for everyone to hear. But it’s not just how low can she go. It’s in the exceptional quality of her tone in her improved upper range but especially in her lower range that makes her so very special. It's in the roundness, fullness, and depth of her sound, along with her ability to create, access, and use an enormous amount of resonance. Now a little about this new vocal competition. During the “ShowMaskGoOn”, Diana was competing against 8 other professional singers, Diana being the 9th competitor. Diana and the other singer's also doubled as judges for this competition which was televised over a nine week period. All the singers performed one song per week for the entirety of the 9 weeks. Each week a different singer took center stage and performed a different song using a different genre of music, and a different style for each song performed. Diana and the other professional singers/judges were also competing against each other, and based on their individual performances they awarded judging points to each other, but could not award points to themselves. The grand finale for the ShowMaskGoOn! was on November 20, 2021. Diana’s 9th and final performance of the last week of this competition was "Personal Jesus" originally by Depeche Mode. The judge on the top row who was the first to stand is the Russian opera tenor, Yusif Eyvazov from Azerbaijan who was invited to participate as a special guest judge for this inaugural competition. At the end of Diana's performance she receives a standing ovation from all her fellow competitors. One of those competitors is a contemporary Russian singer, Julia Parshuta who is well known. Julia is the blond in the center row dressed in red, and looks totally lost. At the end of Diana's performance Julia Parshuta puts both hands on top of her head, and looks totally lost, shocked, and bewildered. Finally, the “Show Must Go On” competition concluded with Diana Ankudinova being awarded the most judging points over the total of the 9 weeks of competition and Diana was declared the winner of the inaugural season of the “ShowMaskGoOn!” competition.
I don't know if you reacted to these Diana songs and I just didn't find them, but you should also check out: "Wicked Game", which is one of her earliest covers, and "Rechenka" ("River", in English), which is a spellbinding ancient Russian folk song. Be sure to choose her original performance that she sang for a vocal competition at age 14. There's also videos of later concert performances, but they don't have the dramatic staging. Her original "Blizzard" and "Derniere Danse" ("Last Dance", in English) performances are also remarkable. This was an unusual competition in which 9 singers all performed for each other, and scored each other (with an additional guest judge). All of Diana's competitors in this competition had far more fame and professional experience than her, so the praise she received was even more remarkable. She won this competition with a perfect score... at 18 years old. The more you listen to Diana, the more you'll realize how authentic her recorded vocals are, despite how bizarre her polyphonic contralto timbre sounds.
I have heard her speak. She has a naturally deeper female voice but not a surprisingly deep. Just deeper than average. But she is a contralto. Having seen her perform many times and over many songs I am not surprised at how low she can reach. This I see as comfortable and natural for her singing range but her upper range development is REALLY surprising. For a contralto to hit those lofty highs and so clearly and sustain those notes is unbelievable to me There is often the suggestion in critiques that she is using effects on her singing and the implication that it is mechanically or electronically enhanced, That is not the case. Nor is the suggestion that she cannot reach those depths (impressive and usual as they are). I can sing in her lower range and comfortably but I sing in a deep baritone range and I am a man and I cannot reach a tenor range little lone the soprano ranges she slips up into. She is a marvel to me.
Interesting, but Deeana's composition is a 3rd-level cover. Originally French song "Plaisir d'Amour" (18th century) was covered by Elvis Presley. After that Tommee Profitt made a minor key cover. Listen to other songs like her rendition of Wicked Game, or Rechenka, or Dernière Danse, and convince yourself that this is really a very, very unique voice we are listening to.

Diana is a true Contralto so the low voice and the belt you heard from her on this song is all her, in fact you did not hear her full range on this song she has way more to show you that will leave you speechless, things that even vocal coaches has never heard From a human before.
She was 18 years old when she performed this on the vocal show contest named "Show mask go on", she just turned 21 years old a couple of months ago, her lowest note in that song was a C3 and her highest a Bb5, as i said these are not her limits she can reach way beyond that.
You have to listen to more from her she has the most unique female timbre ever she is certainly a legendary vocalist already.

This was a singing variety show. The people you see in the stands were fellow performers. Diana sat there with them when the others sang. They all sang one song every week from a different genre and they ranked the performances excluding themselves. Diana was easily the youngest and least established singer of the group but ended up with the highest point total after two months of shows. Her first gold in international competition was at 8 yrs old, she was so good she was often asked not to compete so other kids had a chance of winning and even then you could wallpaper her room in awards, her appearance on the Voice Kids Russia caused a scandal for the show and the network when they didn't turn for her at 13, she performed Yodel Time(still in the top ten all time on the voice... worldwide), the audience gave her a standing ovation for several minutes until the Judges were shamed into turning their chairs.

I've seen a bunch of reactions to this song from vocal coaches, opera singers etc. and you're the only people who totally didn't get it. That is her natural voice - which you will know already from the comments below. This girl sings polyphonically and she's the most unique singer ever.
There was a comment about her on another channel, the person said that she only sang 4 verses because if she did the whole song she would delete the world from existence. Sounds about right.

She's polyphonic, so that was the last part you heard. This performance was done on a show called "ShowMaskGoOn." And it was the first time many of the judges had ever seen her perform as you could tell by their faces. All of her performances in this show are available I believe in her channel and they are wonderful! If you want to hear her just sing in a room with no effects she sings both a cover of "Havana" by Cabello and my personal favorite a cover of "Take On Me." by Aha in her own room with just a mic. Also this is no where near her current range as Kwstas Vagias has said. He actually has some videos uploaded of her time singing in a show called "Masked Singer" in which she must hide her voice while judges and the audience try to guess who she is. I’m late to the party, having only discovered Diana’s incredible voice near the end of last year. And it was nothing more than a YT short that piqued my curiosity. I found my jaw dropped by that final belted section, when her notes go so huge and robust. She’s now my favorite female vocalist. Diana is a true contralto and polyphonic. She is truly phenomenal
judging by the fact that you are not wearing headphones, you did not hear half of the song. apparently you like the sound of your own voice if you were mumbling something instead of listening.
I was thinking the same thing. First off, I am listening in headphones and of the 30 or 40 reaction videos to this song, this has the worst audio quality I have ever heard. Secondly they need to listen to it in headphones. Thirdly the talked over the performance. Maybe if they did not do that they would have realized that there were no vocal effects. Fourth, whoever produces for them should have come up with the extended clip where you can here her talk. Fifth, the producer should have informed them there were no vocal effects, which in the long run would have saved them from looking like the dumbest people to ever react to one of her videos.
Her tongue being right in front, resting on her teeth while belting the word “love” is just a tell tell sign that this dark, deep sound is her natural sound. It’s not just an effect she’s manufacturing and THAT’S so fascinating. I could easily give her the title contralto

First of all, you need to at least Wikipedia her for the basics of her life story. Then you will begin to appreciate where she's come from. Diana is an amazing talent who has worked very hard to get the range she has. There might be some reverb on the microphone, but they say they play all the equipment straight up. Diana has a polyphonic voice which she developed on her own. She has been doubted by many people who think they know how the voice box and attending parts work and have come to the conclusion that she uses some form of trickery. That is until you listen to her and search out the source of what she does. You will eventually come to the same conclusion as the rest of us, she is just damn good.
This is your first contact with Diana and so skeptism will be a normal reaction, for a while. Watch her often enough and her optimism becomes infectious.
I do not know why reactors feel the need to talk over the performance, instead of stopping and discussing then back to the performance. I won't think you any less clever for making your insights be known, with the music stopped. If you think I'm full of it just ignore me.

Not sure what you meant by effect on her voice, this is her voice. If you had chosen Diana's video from her own channel, it would have been of better quality and not cut short and faded out, additionally this pirated copy has stolen more than 12 million views from Diana. This is a live contest with 9 participants no voice effects are allowed, Diana won this 1st round and had to repeat the song at the end of the show. Each episode was about 2 hours and continued for 9 weeks. Diana competed against established professional singers and won with the overall score in the final show.
i'm not convinced they actually got the full understanding of her voice because they talked all the way through it. I felt a tad concerned that it was so disrespectful to the singer to be honest. Especially one of Dianas calibre. i think it went over their head.

Diana has a polyphonic voice. Which is derived from the Greek meaning many sounds. it means that she is able to sing multiple notes at the same time which very unique style of sound. I listen to this song perhaps several hundred times and the more I listen to it the more I can hear it especially towards The when she singing in a deeper register you can actually hear medium register a higher register in the background that you can easily mistake part of the backing but it’s all her. Very few people are able to do this.

Sorry for the length of this post, but there is a lot of information to give you about Diana Ankudinova, starting with her cover of the Elvis Presley classic, "Can’t Help Falling In love". Let’s begin with a little background to give some context to this performance. This performance took place on September 25, 2021, during the inaugural season of a new Russian vocal competition called the “ShowMaskGoOn!”, when Diana Ankudinova was 18 years old. During her “Can’t Help Falling In Love” performance, her vocal range was measured, and Diana’s functional range goes from a low of C3 (male Tenor range) to a high of B♭5, (female Mezzo Soprano range).
You are asking a very commonly asked question about Diana’s unique voice, and that question is, how does she do it? How can such a young female singer achieve such a low, rich, deep, round, rich, profound, and resonant sound? Without the ability to actually scope her vocal tract while she is producing those low notes to actually see what is happening within her vocal tract, the general conciseness of many vocal professionals is simply attributing Diana's ability to her winning the genetic lottery, meaning it appears Diana was just born with unique vocal anatomy.
Diana's vocal folds (vocal cords) appear to be longer and thicker than the vast majority of female singers. Her larynx, (voice box), likewise appears to be larger and similarly her laryngopharynx, (throat), also appears to be longer and wider than the vast majority of female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity (mouth). It’s this combination anatomical structures that appears to give Diana Ankudinova the ability to produce the low, deep, rich, and full sounds she is known for, but without actually scoping her vocal track to verify, there is no way to be 100% sure.
For this competition Diana’s cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love”, was the last performances on the first night of this competition. Diana showed what many vocal professionals have been saying since Diana was 14, and based on Diana’s previous vocal competition’s, and concert performances, she has now developed into what many vocal professionals believed she always was, a true Contralto voice type, but not just a Contralto, but a Dramatic Contralto voice type. This performance can be broken down into 4 distinct sections, (1) during the opening of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” Diana’s low regular Contralto voice is on full display. (2) She then goes up an octave to what would be considered a normal upper range for a female singer. (3) The improvement to her upper range is also on display during the middle portion of this performance, and finally, (4) The depth and power of Diana’s voice during the final section demonstrates she is not just a Contralto, but is a “Dramatic Contralto”, and a Dramatic Contralto has the lowest, deepest, darkest, richest sound and is the most powerful of the contralto voice types. It is also the rarest of the very rare Contralto voice types.
At the end of this performance, the full power of Diana’s Dramatic Contralto voice is on full display for everyone to hear. But it’s not just how low can she go. It’s in the exceptional quality of her tone in her improved upper range but especially in her lower range that makes her so very special. It's in the roundness, fullness, and depth of her sound, along with her ability to create, access, and use an enormous amount of resonance.
Now a little about this new vocal competition. During the “ShowMaskGoOn”, Diana was competing against 8 other professional singers, Diana being the 9th competitor. Diana and the other singer's also doubled as judges for this competition which was televised over a nine week period. All the singers performed one song per week for the entirety of the 9 weeks. Each week a different singer took center stage and performed a different song using a different genre of music, and a different style for each song performed. Diana and the other professional singers/judges were also competing against each other, and based on their individual performances they awarded judging points to each other, but could not award points to themselves.
The grand finale for the ShowMaskGoOn! was on November 20, 2021. Diana’s 9th and final performance of the last week of this competition was "Personal Jesus" originally by Depeche Mode. The judge on the top row who was the first to stand is the Russian opera tenor, Yusif Eyvazov from Azerbaijan who was invited to participate as a special guest judge for this inaugural competition. At the end of Diana's performance she receives a standing ovation from all her fellow competitors. One of those competitors is a contemporary Russian singer, Julia Parshuta who is well known. Julia is the blond in the center row dressed in red, and looks totally lost. At the end of Diana's performance Julia Parshuta puts both hands on top of her head, and looks totally lost, shocked, and bewildered. Finally, the “Show Must Go On” competition concluded with Diana Ankudinova being awarded the most judging points over the total of the 9 weeks of competition and Diana was declared the winner of the inaugural season of the “ShowMaskGoOn!” competition.
I don't know if you reacted to these Diana songs and I just didn't find them, but you should also check out: "Wicked Game", which is one of her earliest covers, and "Rechenka" ("River", in English), which is a spellbinding ancient Russian folk song. Be sure to choose her original performance that she sang for a vocal competition at age 14. There's also videos of later concert performances, but they don't have the dramatic staging. Her original "Blizzard" and "Derniere Danse" ("Last Dance", in English) performances are also remarkable.
This was an unusual competition in which 9 singers all performed for each other, and scored each other (with an additional guest judge). All of Diana's competitors in this competition had far more fame and professional experience than her, so the praise she received was even more remarkable. She won this competition with a perfect score... at 18 years old.
The more you listen to Diana, the more you'll realize how authentic her recorded vocals are, despite how bizarre her polyphonic contralto timbre sounds.
I have heard her speak. She has a naturally deeper female voice but not a surprisingly deep. Just deeper than average.
But she is a contralto. Having seen her perform many times and over many songs I am not surprised at how low she can reach. This I see as comfortable and natural for her singing range but her upper range development is REALLY surprising. For a contralto to hit those lofty highs and so clearly and sustain those notes is unbelievable to me
There is often the suggestion in critiques that she is using effects on her singing and the implication that it is mechanically or electronically enhanced, That is not the case. Nor is the suggestion that she cannot reach those depths (impressive and usual as they are).
I can sing in her lower range and comfortably but I sing in a deep baritone range and I am a man and I cannot reach a tenor range little lone the soprano ranges she slips up into. She is a marvel to me.
