Guys you have the right combination for a hunting show. Skill, drive, professionalism and above all the youth of heart to have fun doing it. If I ever watch a show and Zack does not tackle or beat the shooter half to death I will think the show is fake. Your comradeship is a real pleasure to watch.

Cherish every moment you get in the woods with you father Ted you’ll never know when you won’t have him to go hunting with you anymore! Lost my dad 3 years ago and still remember every hunt that he was with me on and all the deer he shot and brought home from out in west TN!! Also remember him waking me up saying he shot my hit list buck cause I slept in that morning 😂😂😂😂 and the one hunt that stands out the most was I 13-15 it was a turkey hunt he called mine in and I called his in 5 min apart and still have the pic to this day!!! I love watching father son /daughter hunts cause it floods me with so many memories
Hell Yea! My son went on his first hunt with me a few weeks ago he is 5 he sat like a champ on the ground and we even had a doe come out! He started coughing and spooked her but its my most memorable hunt to date!
I killed a 3year old 10 point with my 7 year old in blind with me last weekend in wv. I'll never forget it.
My daughter is 3 and I been taking her to check game cameras and to hang a stand. She kept saying daddy be quite don't scare deer. Moments are what we create at the time; memories are something we do together.
I stopped this right after pops shot just to say Ted's dad was like alright boys time to show these viewers where the legend ted gets all of his skill from😂

Great Video! I was the youngest of 4 boys with a father who's idea of babysitting was to bring everyone hunting and fishing so he could have fun too. Watching that episode brought back a thousand memories and a lot of emotions. That is what great film making is all about. You guys hit that one out of the park!
First off great flick. Father an son hunting together is priceless an having it on film is icing on the cake. When your legs go to sleep it sucks, when to gather yourself an make the shot. Celebrate the moment

nothing better than a nice buck posturing up staring right at you. Heart is always beating hard, happened to me last week just like that but at 20 yards. If you could sell that feeling, there would be so many more hunters.

This is absolutely incredible. What are the odds?? A buck that big coming out onto public land, what in the world. Great freaking hunt! This video was keeping me on the edge of my seat the whole entire time. Crazy how a deer can get spooked at a treestand squeaking or a shot from a bow, but when Ted is on screen, they'll stay around, even with a muzzleloader cracking that beautiful sound.

I shot my first deer with a bow on Alabama public land last night. I told myself I had to kill my first on public land a long time ago and it finally happened. He was a 122" 9 point and it only happened because of THP!! Thanks you guys

Congrats, what WMA did you take your buck on? I hunt the Cahaba WMA outside of Helena and Montevallo.
@@mikem7081 This trip I traveled to the Boggy Hollow WMA which only allows archery hunting for deer on days Sunday thru Tuesday. I would definitely recommend taking a trip there if you have the time. We saw a bunch of deer, but I held off for that particular buck. We had good luck in hardwood bottoms with fresh whiteoak acorns.

Awesome hunt guys! Love the family story. My family has the similar story. We still get 83 year old dad out to his stand for gun season here in WI! He is the reason that I started hunting and became so passionate for the outdoors. Thanks for sharing your version of the family tradition!

The very first time I watched the vid at normal speed, I thought Ted made contact high and back (where you later see the shot location after the deer was recovered). However, upon further review, I think Ted missed him. The buck was quartering away significantly at Ted’s shot. 10:30
You get a good look at the shot placement at 18:02. If Ted had hit that’s buck, the exit wound would have been at least halfway up... maybe further. When Zip shot, it appears that the buck was broadside or actually quartering very slightly toward them.
If Ted had hit the deer you would expect to see an exit wound at least halfway up the body at 16:51.
I think what appears to be a shockwave at the shot is just the fur bunching up when the buck takes off. I simply can’t see a wound on that buck between Ted’s shot and Zip’s shot. I’m pretty sure they made the right call.
