Dudes. This is the only thing I’ve been waiting for in a THP video. A surprise kill with no hints. I covered my phone screen this time so I couldn’t see the still frame for the video, just in case it gave it away. Jake, you always work hard for em. Way to go guys !!

I'm lost in wonderment every time the THP kills a deer without a name, that isn't standing in a manicured food plot. How do they do it? Maybe it's cause they're real deal hunting badasses.

Why name a deer? Then it’s like killing and eating your dog. Naming them makes it seem like a wild animal is somehow actually yours.

What a good episode. The filming sequences at the end, loading the buck up really added to it. Makes me want to get out there. All the stuff that is added, telling the story and showing the process, make for great videos.

I had no doubt that you'd get it done, Jake! Congratulations to you all, it truly was a group effort! You guys started out in the county I live in, and shot your buck in the county that I hunt in the most. What a small world! I'm so glad you guys enjoyed your time here in southeast Kansas, and look forward to you returning next fall (or maybe even this spring for turkeys).Don't forget to apply for next seasons deer tags in April. We need a few more of you guys hunting Kansas next year, this trip wasn't near long enough!
Jake you are half my age. All of you guys have inspired me not to give up. Watching you guys for the past 2+ years. Has given my the drive to fight through my Rheumatoid arthritis and never give up. Every video drives to my next great adventure. My first turkey tour begins spring of 2020. Planning and praying all goes well.

One rifle season this buck was watched 25 yards from shore swimming the shore line to avoid the hunters. No shooting 500 feet from houses. White tails are smart. Shoeless Joe impressive.

I live in Kansas and I hunted this exact spot during rifle season. This was the first year this spot opened up and there is so much activity from the deer here. My dad and I ended up leaving after a three day trip with 2 really nice 8 points. What an experience!

I ended up doing a similar thing on the 3rd. Went to scout and prep for a week of kayaking into a spot. Walked 50 yards from the truck and done. A little bittersweet. Spent the last week calling in giants, and screwing around with new tactics, without the bow!
Cut up with steak seasoning and olive oil medium rare over charcoal. LOVE the heart

These guys are the best group of hunters since the 1st time I saw the father and son duo of the Fitzgeralds out of Michigan. The Fitzgeralds were very similar in how they hunted in the beginning.
It just shows you that when they have something else on their mind, no situation or hunt is too crazy to attempt. Awesome job guys!!! That buck wasn't going anywhere until that doe left. My daughter took the heart from my buck a few weeks ago to school...she got 10 xtra credit points...lol. They disect them in science class. BEST hunting show out there.

In the three states I’ve hunted, every piece of public had requirements about how far from access paths and roads you can hunt. Nice job driving around till you found something to kill though. I’m sure it cleanses the soul.

Awesome! That is a hunt that you guys will never forget. I love that you guys just “hunt”. You don’t use gimmicks or try to sell your viewers on the newest buck attractant BS. You are all very humble and down to Earth. I have learned a lot just from your videos. channel is getting better and better love the way the hunts play out like a show over time its awesome. love that shot placement i learned a hard lesson this year on a heavy bow buck about arrow placement. looks like more toward the shoulder is the better option you would be suprised how in that split second they can move enough to wreck a shot. Took three days but i found my buck tragic ending though did learn. two inches back and he would have been dead in 50 yards
I will say this for you guys. You aren't afraid to take a chance. Kudos on a great hunt and great memory.

I always enjoy you guys hunting on opportunity. You show many of the ways to successfully hunt deer. Ancient people hunted that way and thrived. Your showing new bow hunters, and modern treestand, ground blind hunters that it can be done. I would like to see you guys do some old school snow tracking to a bedded deer. That is a deer hunting skill that is being lost. It would be fun to see that with a bow. Good Job.
