Why is it so difficult to understand that they’re reimagining Superman and Wonder Woman? How on earth could they do that with the same two actors in the role? They didn’t “KEEP” Ezra, they simply released the film they had. This should be understandable by an infant.
They needed to fire Cavil because Superman desperately needs to not be a whiny narcissistic scumbag. But the whole universe needs a reboot and Ezra, in addition to his crimes, was the worst portrayal of the respective character (Flash) other than maybe Lex and should have been fired first and a long time ago.

I'm confused. Instead of struggling to get a director because Ezra is absolutely insane to work with. Why didn't they just fire Ezra and find a different flash?
"He is horribly miscast as Barry Allen" YES! I've been saying that for years. Worst casting of Barry Allen ever, the only way it could possibly have been worse is if the role was given to Brie Larson.
Of course Keaton was brought back to kill him on screen. Someone should do a compilation of all the prominent male heroes from the past 40 years of film that have been brought back only to kill them off on camera. It's staggering how much they want us to feel like shit, watching our childhood heroes be killed.
Its a multiverse movie, everyone dying is to be expected, in a not very plot twisty plot twist. Everyone killed will come back, if they decide they need them back, so its not even worth being upset over.
Greed will never allow them to faithfully adapt a good comic because they want pg13 movies that cater to every single sensibility (the loud ones). The animated version of Flashpoint is good but they rather produce a flopping turd instead of taking a risk. Can you imagine The killing joke as a live action movie? I can but the animated version was a subpar turd.
I just watched it for the first time and after the first 20 minutes it’s actually a pretty good movie. It’s not true to the flashpoint story but think of it as one of the timelines Barry created
The Flash is my favorite superhero of all time, and in the inmortal words of Vito Corleone played by Marlon Brando, I can honestly say: Look how they massacred my boy!
I immediately thought of Chris Gore. His description of the cameos made me think it was a saving grace of this film. Now, with the recent reviews, I am almost wondering what film he watched.
Yeah, everybody knows this film blows, trouble is, a lot of your main reviewers are soft-balling it to avoid getting into trouble with Warners or the blue-hairs.
My friend is retiring from WB Pictures promo dept after 25 years (they're buying her out). She said her job has been transferred to Mexico. The office is empty except for her while she trains her replacements. Discovery has destroyed WB, but maybe leaned up for a Comcast buyout... it's sad and it shows with their movies...
I can’t imagine having a 25+ year career, with big epic vehicles under your belt, to end up with Embarrassing Ezra Miller as the face of the company. Sorry for your friend.
The best part of the movie is that despite the whole plot hinging on Barry's father being accused of killing his mother and Barry considering traveling back in time to prevent her death at no point he ever thinks of going back to the precise moment of her death to take a look at who the killer might be. This is why adapting Flashpoint without the Reverse Flash showing up was a stupid idea.

@@och70 100%. That show is far from perfect, but I loved season 1 and Grant Gustin nails so much of what makes Barry Allen special - the empathy, his kind-hearted nature, his flaws and his passions. From the clips I've seen, you have Ezra (who was already a horrible casting choice), a 30 year old trying to play a teenager by sitting on the floor, skipping along, having food all over his mouth, and having a broken high pitched voice? He's essentially playing it like a 5 year old girl.
I’ve been waiting 31 years for Michael Keaton to get a third movie. I even just bought the Lego shadow box batman set. No matter what, Ezra Groomer aside… Michael Keaton is enough for me. He’s the first one to do the batman voice, the catalyst to the Batman animated series and more.
I swear, every other week i’m hearing about a new film being “the most expensive movie ever made”🙄No it wasn’t. Firstly, they never adjust for inflation. Secondly they never specify if they mean the production alone or if they’re including marketing, promotional endeavours, distribution, obscenely overpaid actors... I saw the film yesterday and while It did have some amusing scenes in it. it also had some horriffic problems. The positive points were the short moments of Ben Affleck's and Micheal Keaton's Bruce Wayne/Batman and the short moments with Super Girl. The negative points which really dragged it for me were the Flash's suit looked so unnatural, as if they just overimposed a CGI suit over the actor, some of the CGI looked extremely dated and the time stream parts looked like a cheap stage play. But what really bothered me was Ezra Miller's portrail of the Flash/Barry Allen. If it was the point to give Barry Allen an autistic side to him, it really came off as very offensive to me as someone who has a high-functioning form of Autism. Please let me know if someone felt like that as well.
Ezra Miller is really good at offending all kinds of things…people with autism, children, parents, women’s safety, common decency, sanity, and the law.
I really hope Ben Affleck knows that everyone does appreciate his Batman take. Yeah I'm sure he is over the questions, but I'd like to think there he can take a small win out of it that the audience still cheers for him
I just rented the stream last night. It's actually a pretty good movie. It's definitely much better then you gave it credit for. The CGI can be bad at many times, but I simply don't expect perfection anymore, so I go with it. As for all the behind the scenes stuff and of course Ezra Miller... I just don't give a crap. If I ignored songs because of the Singer/Band and their IRL garbage, I wouldn't have much to listen too. So why should I have it matter for actors/films. I'm there for a movie, not to enter a fan club or hero/zero worship cult.
Just seen the movie and honestly, I kinda agree with you Gary. And final Clooney twist raised more questions only and in some ways, it felt like middle finger to the story. I would rather see Affleck one last time; or Keaton again which could be nice way for Batman Beyond movie! But Clooney felt like just them messing up whole thing just to have “more cameos”.
@og3dkooz381 I expected this to be honest. Gunn already confirmed months ago that the Batman of the future DCEU was gonna be neither Affleck nor Keaton, and that it was gonna be someone new for his desired soft reboot. And with Val Kilmer's voice being destroyed due to his treatment for throat cancer and Christian Bale publucly showing absolutely no interest in being in another superhero movie again after his bad experience filming Thor 4, Clooney was the only one left Gunn could use for nostalgia exploitation.
I actually wholeheartedly enjoyed this movie and Ezra’s performance…unfortunately I don’t think he deserves to be in any other movies considering all he’s done criminally. I expect this is just DC cutting their losses and this will likely be his last and best performance. Just my honest opinion.
Flash was by comparison, actually much better than a lot of the other phase 4 marvel movies, all drama surrouunding the film and actor aside. I enjoyed the performances by the actors all around. Seeing new and refreshed characters was both new and exciting. Much better than the overplayed and generic larger characters/heroes getting screentime these days. I avoided all the drama and commentary surrounding this movie and just enjoyed it for what it was and I am glad I got to walk away with a happy, positive movie experience. Very little wokeness, political messaging, or virtue signaling - actually it presented some solid family values, moral integrity, struggle, growth, responsibility, justice, commraderie, and a good amount of genuine fun and light heartedness. If I had any complaints, yes, a good amount of cgi looked unfinished, like I was in a pre-screening, but it also offered a lot more than most movies out right now in many respects. I loved Ezras performance, Sasha Calle was a great addition, and Michael Keaton, Ben Afleck, and Michael Shannon were satisfying to see again for the moments they were up. Overall it was hands down better than the new Batman for me (which I felt was overhyped), and a deeper, more memorable, and unique story than any of the Justice league movies even if they had better cgi and fights. More importantly, there was a real sense of internal conflict and external struggle as opposed to some large world-ending villain with generic minion monsters. Maybe it’s just me not being a hardcore comic nerd, any not paying any attention to current media and scandals that allowed me to really enjoy this one. I even honestly enjoyed it more than Rise of the Beasts -talk about “generic” and “nostalgia bait” with that one! What a woke pandering dissappointment. I actually regret seeing Rise of the Beasts.
but I agree, Ezra as an actor should face up to all his criminal charges with fines and jail and or community service (and please get him some therapy) before he is allowed to return to any major roles.
9:03 I have huge cognitive dissonance when memorable lines from an original being snuck into a sequel as though a producer veto'd it. The context of the situation in which Keaton said it in 1989 was that he threatens the Joker in an exaggerated fashion, hoping he will shoot him in his makeshift chestplate. Now it's treated like a cool catchphrase? Even Die Hard's recurring "Yippee ki-yay, motherfucker" is annoying to me when they put it in the second movie because it started as a private thing between John and Hans. The third movie I could have overlooked since that concerned Hans' brother, and John could have recalled the line that way. Anyways, it just seems cheap and commercial.
Reshoots and rewrites mandated by studio producers chasing current trends. I remember an interview with Rob Zombie where he was filming one of his horror movies and Starship Troopers had released during filming. And one of the producers came on set and asked, “Can you incorporate giant bugs into your movie?”
I agree, it actually adapted Flashpoint instead of whatever bizarre Frankenstein story this is (seems to be a trend. Batman v Superman adapted Death of Superman which could have been a live action trilogy and Dark Knight Returns which could have been a live action classic into a boring, 3 hour mess.)
@@jbbrolic with Batman v Superman it didn’t work. Here it did, replacing Thomas Wayne with Keaton worked fine here and didn’t waste any time or make it too rushed.
I didn't know about the shit Miller was doing. WB seems to be obsessed with keeping troubled and psychotic actors and actresses employed. Ah well, it's crashing just like Disney, so I'm happy.
They literally couldn't PAY anyone to Direct this film LMFAO. Seems like everything is over "creative differences" as in the studios wanna push an agenda, and the film makers just want to make good shit. What a shame.... This is a pinnacle story line and of course they butcher it.
They probably would have done much better by keeping the original cast of The Flash TV series and going with that instead since they were all far more likable (except Iris because she was loathsome)
To me, Keaton even when he seems like he is phoning it in for the cash is still better compared to Ezra Miller who should give it his all since it is his movie and he has a double role. I mean, yes, it also shows how good Keaton is as an actor that at his worst he is still so good in comparison to "new stars". He could propably play a better character in his sleep then Amber Turd can while awake.
I agree about the CGI. Oh god 🤦♂️ Keaton and Calle were good, and I thought some of the jokes were funny. The film didn't have weight, though, and the "villain" was a bit meh. Reusing Zod felt a bit cheap, too.
When I went to go see Across the Spider-Verse, after The Flash trailer ended some guy behind me said *"Bro I'm totally gonna go see that."* and it made me think if I was the only one who hadn't forgotten about the terrible crimes Ezra Miller committed unpunished. I also felt like I was the only one who hadn't forgotten that the DCEU is shit.
Sadly, Warner Bros Discovery pulled a disgustingly smart move: they purposefully delayed The Flash and Aquaman 2, and made up excuses of "special effects issues" to do it, in order to have the controversies or Amber Heard and Ezra Miller's actions be faded in people's memories. Remember that the original plan under Hamada was for The Flash to come out November 2022 and Aquaman 2 to come put December 2022. If they kept those release dates, majority of people would've boycotted them because of the Depp v Heard trial and Ezra's horrid crime spree happening in the Summer of 2022. So WBD pushed both movies back to 1 - 1 1/2 years later, hoping that people would just forget about them because of OTHER things happening along the way. I didn't fall for that trick and pirated The Flash (out of curiosity). But other people are gonna fall for it.
I think DC just wants get some of its sunk costs out of this movie. Now they're out of the Ezra Miller business and JG can do his thing, whatever that is.

YES! I've been saying that for years. Worst casting of Barry Allen ever, the only way it could possibly have been worse is if the role was given to Brie Larson.
Ezra Miller is horribly miscast as a human being!
Brie Larson would have been a better Flash than Ezra Miller.
People in other video comment sections mocked his weird way of running. Before 2020, he became pretty mocked for his weird portrayal of Barry Allen
You should blame Snyder for that
Don't worry, they'll recast Barry Allen... played by Lia Thomas.
Of course Keaton was brought back to kill him on screen.
Someone should do a compilation of all the prominent male heroes from the past 40 years of film that have been brought back only to kill them off on camera.
It's staggering how much they want us to feel like shit, watching our childhood heroes be killed.
Remember He-Man killed twice on that Netflix reboot, so that his sister could be the hero?
Its a multiverse movie, everyone dying is to be expected, in a not very plot twisty plot twist. Everyone killed will come back, if they decide they need them back, so its not even worth being upset over.

It was so freaking simple. Adapt flashpoint faithfully and give us zoom, but they couldn’t even do that right.

I actually regret seeing Rise of the Beasts.
but I agree, Ezra as an actor should face up to all his criminal charges with fines and jail and or community service (and please get him some therapy) before he is allowed to return to any major roles.
totally agree pew. i thought it was fantastic, easily the most enjoyable movie i've seen in a cinema since top gun: maverick
"The most expensive movie ever made"
Why are we getting a lot of movies that could be described this way, in an era of declining box office revenues?
Money laundering
Reshoots and rewrites mandated by studio producers chasing current trends.
I remember an interview with Rob Zombie where he was filming one of his horror movies and Starship Troopers had released during filming. And one of the producers came on set and asked, “Can you incorporate giant bugs into your movie?”
The animated Flashpoint paradox was awesome. Ill stick with that one
Not sure when this is good too
I agree, it actually adapted Flashpoint instead of whatever bizarre Frankenstein story this is (seems to be a trend. Batman v Superman adapted Death of Superman which could have been a live action trilogy and Dark Knight Returns which could have been a live action classic into a boring, 3 hour mess.)
@jbbrolic exactly. They seem to want to rush everything so it turns into a diluted muddled no context mess
@@jbbrolic with Batman v Superman it didn’t work. Here it did, replacing Thomas Wayne with Keaton worked fine here and didn’t waste any time or make it too rushed.
@@mrmxyzptlk8906 nobody's gonna be shamed into watching this garbage, fool
If I had a choice between watching the flash and living under a rock I'm going with the rock. 😂
I didn't know about the shit Miller was doing. WB seems to be obsessed with keeping troubled and psychotic actors and actresses employed.
Ah well, it's crashing just like Disney, so I'm happy.
The last middle finger to the DCEU: stranding it in the Batman and Robin timeline.
A last middle finger to hack Snyder and his deplorable minions
They literally couldn't PAY anyone to Direct this film LMFAO.
Seems like everything is over "creative differences" as in the studios wanna push an agenda, and the film makers just want to make good shit.
What a shame.... This is a pinnacle story line and of course they butcher it.
I'm guessing that the 'You wanna get nuts, let's get nuts' line is Flash asking Batman if he has any snacks
🤣
"He just left, with nuts!"
original comment
Yeah those going to watch this movie for nothing other than journalism are in support of this human being called Ezra.
Completly unrelated but I still cant get over how good the Flash suit from the 90s show still holdin up
We don't have Ezra Miller's tribe connection. That's why he isn't in jail
Love your work. The best part of this movie was Michael Keaton’s Bat Man. I really nerded out 1989 style
"This is an alternate version of Kara Zor-el who went to Ezra Miller's hair dresser." ~ Nerdrotic

Can we just admire the editor for doing such a marvelous job in such a short time?
No
Lmao haters at every turn. U can tell these fools haven’t had head 😂🥲
Ezra is grooming himself in the movie ??? 😂😂😂
The “Bro” at the beginning of his statement says it all…
Sadly, Warner Bros Discovery pulled a disgustingly smart move: they purposefully delayed The Flash and Aquaman 2, and made up excuses of "special effects issues" to do it, in order to have the controversies or Amber Heard and Ezra Miller's actions be faded in people's memories.
Sounds like it's really pushing the nostalgia envelope, when a little generally goes a long way
I disagree with the statement that The Flash is a bad movie. I quite thoroughly enjoyed it.
I think DC just wants get some of its sunk costs out of this movie. Now they're out of the Ezra Miller business and JG can do his thing, whatever that is.
Molesting kids?
