My biggest pet peeve with comic movies are moments when the villian shows these overpowered abilities against random good guys and then doesn't use them against the main heroes. Like Kang literally desolves some Quantum Realm people and then doesn't use that again against the Ant-Family
Emma Fuhrmann's acting when she saw her dad after 5 years was so touching she really sold it.
Her face was so sad, it looked like it was the first time she smiled in years. Now that is acting!
She did way more in one scene than Newton did in an entire film.

Emma Fuhrmann was great in that one scene, but she had very competent writers and directors to work with. Kathryn Newton had nothing to work with because the writing in this movie was incredibly lazy. She was good in Supernatural and The Map of Tiny Perfect Things, so I’m optimistic she could have been more impressive if given a half-way decent script.
btw, for those who haven’t seen it, Loki Season 1 is much better than this movie

Janet didn’t need to tell them the Quantum Realm is dangerous. Literally every character in the other Antman movies is warning of the dangers of the Quantum Realm every five minutes and despite losing his wife to it for thirty years Hank says sure Cassie go right ahead and make that quantum realm machine.

If someone told me about the plans for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars a couple years ago, my mind would have been blown. After all this woke trash, I don't plan on watching another Marvel project ever again. Not only does the "representation" feel forced (did you catch the shots of the crowd at the premiere? LOL), when I watch this stuff, it feels like they're telling me they don't want me to. That's a bold strategy, let's see how it works out for them.
I found Moonknight and Loki pretty enjoyable, but there has been a lot of garbage lately. They seem to struggle with understanding their audience, and it’s chaotic at best.

6:21 this scene from Emma Fuhrmann's Cassie Lang where she is relieved to see her father after 5 years remoced from the blip had a better father-daughter emotional bonding than 2 hours of sitting through Kathryn Newton's insufferable version who chastise Scott at every moment.
Cassie when she was a kid and her father was a thief, still looked up to her father as an inspirational figure in the first 2 movies even when her own mother did not want her to be close to him. And in Quantummania, it was almost like the directors and writers had amnesia and forgot the characteristics of empathetic Cassie altogether. The young Cassie was with her father even when his father was a thief and gave inspiration to him, Newton's chastises him even when he literally helped save the universe
The movie was hot garbage. I walked out sad I spent $$ on it. Even the title was misleading. “The Wasp” didn’t need to be in the title since she was just wallpaper in the movie. Bill Murray’s appearance was disappointing, and they turned Kang into a “new willy wanka movie” Oompa Loompa. I could have easily written a better movie that people would have enjoyed. The leaders at the MCU just keep getting more and more clueless.

IMO they should have killed off Cassie for the emotional impact. We’ve seen her as Antmans little girl since the first movie and now shes grown up, but loads of stuff has happened in between - despite that, antman has tried to be a good dad. I think if Kang took her off the board it would have made him a big deal, and then want fans to see antman get revenge. It also shows a normal guy taking a major L, and Paul Rudd can disappear for a while, coming back for some kind of redemption arc in an avengers movie or whatever. There is karma in him being a thief to having the most important thing taken away from him by Kang. So many missed opportunities.

Infinity War movies felt like a spectacle, an event, the feeling and atmosphere was similar to and evoked personal nostalgia of being young kids and going to see the spectacle and immersive world of the Harry Potter films; kids would dress up and all that stuff. They killed all that.
Yeah. My friends and I used to get excited all go on opening night....one by one they all dropped off. I didn't even get a phone call this time. No plans made. No talking about. Simply forgotten. I only went to see the movie because my D&D group canceled last minute.

Since watching your shows I now understand why whenever I ask my daughter HOW WAS THE MOVIE? She tells me we left early and did coffee meal or went window shopping. And I'm thinking hey what a waste of my money. Spoilt little brats. Because she goes with a group of friends #. Since watching all the terrible reviews from you, I now fully understand. I could not relate because I have never walked out of a movie in my life. Although I must admit I can sit through very few Netflix movies due too the wideawokeness which puts me to sleep. I enjoy these reviews way more than any films released these days. I'm nearly 60 and have retreated back to watch films older than 20yrs, just to find something resembling actual story telling based upon reality. I mean, even stuff from the 80's is better than the bullshit being pumped out now
I am nearly 60 myself - never mind the 80's or 90's, heck I've been going back to the 30's and 40s to find something to watch- there is still plenty of content from those eras out there before they get memory holed or destroyed by the woke

For example: people are complaining that Cassie some how magically opened the portal again to let her father and Hope through at the end of the movie. HOWEVER, it appears that the Kangs did this because as the movie ends and the "Welcome Back" song plays there are people looking at Scott like they are wondering why he is there and we see Kang's colors of purple and green on some people Then a couple (a man and a woman) with those colors passes Scott but then they appear ahead of him and it is at this point Scott pauses and wonders if Kang is really dead. SCOTT IS IN ANOTHER TIME LINE !

If you have read his books or seen BBC movies and TV series based on his novels, especially his book "OUR MUTUAL FRIEND" (his last book), then you know about numerous themes and sub-plots taking place at the same time and about gentle clues that are sprinkled throughout. No one has ever done a movie like Quantumania before. While it is fantasy and not science fiction overall, the Probability/Possibility part IS an aspect of science and Probability Theory and I was surprised and glad it was included in the movie.
No two screens are the same. My wife and I walked out of an Endgame showing because of noisy kids and because the picture quality was downright HORRIBLE. We saw it at another theater and the picture quality was great. We have noticed this for other movies and screens too. I have also noticed that my bluray and 4K movies all look BETTER on my SONY OLED TV than at the theater.
Btw, every actor in the original Avengers movie is a LEFTIST except Chris Hemsworth. The Left woke crowd tried to get Evangeline Lilly fired from Marvel because she was against vax mandates and because she said that she's a Christian and enjoys being a mother! Think on THAT for a while. The other four actors, except Majors, are, it appears, Centralists, NOT far left like Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, etc.
