Emma Fuhrmann was great in that one scene, but she had very competent writers and directors to work with. Kathryn Newton had nothing to work with because the writing in this movie was incredibly lazy. She was good in Supernatural and The Map of Tiny Perfect Things, so I’m optimistic she could have been more impressive if given a half-way decent script. btw, for those who haven’t seen it, Loki Season 1 is much better than this movie

If someone told me about the plans for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars a couple years ago, my mind would have been blown. After all this woke trash, I don't plan on watching another Marvel project ever again. Not only does the "representation" feel forced (did you catch the shots of the crowd at the premiere? The movie was hot garbage. I walked out sad I spent $$ on it. Even the title was misleading. “The Wasp” didn’t need to be in the title since she was just wallpaper in the movie. Bill Murray’s appearance was disappointing, and they turned Kang into a “new willy wanka movie” Oompa Loompa. I could have easily written a better movie that people would have enjoyed. The leaders at the MCU just keep getting more and more clueless.

Infinity War movies felt like a spectacle, an event, the feeling and atmosphere was similar to and evoked personal nostalgia of being young kids and going to see the spectacle and immersive world of the Harry Potter films; kids would dress up and all that stuff. They killed all that.

As a woman, and mother of sons, I agree with you 100%. I’m so tired of the man bashing and female power hypocrisy that Hollywood, politicians, and the media love to perpetuate. It is destructive, manipulative, and divisive. About five years ago, I attended a very serious Boy Scout meeting. Mothers wanted to go on camping trips with their sons and bring their sisters too. Myself and a few mothers were absolutely against this. We were firm in our belief and stated that boys/men need their own space to be themselves, learn, and develop into young men, without their moms and sisters present. There were other negatives we brought up about this ridiculous idea. However, when we got flack not just from overly emotional moms, but from some of the fathers, we knew then that the special & traditional Boy Scouts organization would be no more. Sure enough, a few years later they were forced to allow girls into the Scouts. A few years after that, the Boy Scouts of America ceased to exist and filed for bankruptcy. There are no longer any all male organizations for young boys and young men to call their own. Whereas, young girls and young women have the Brownies, Campfire girls, and Girl Scout organizations to call their own and would likely raise hypocritical hell if young men were to come in and restructure their all female organizations.

SCOTT IS IN ANOTHER TIME LINE ! Did you catch that? Scott apparently died in that timeline and that is why Rubin now knows who he is. This movie is over the heads of most people in America and it seems to be paying homage to the greatest novelist in history, CHARLES DICKENS. If you have read his books or seen BBC movies and TV series based on his novels, especially his book "OUR MUTUAL FRIEND" (his last book), then you know about numerous themes and sub-plots taking place at the same time and about gentle clues that are sprinkled throughout. We saw it at another theater and the picture quality was great. We have noticed this for other movies and screens too. IMO they should have killed off Cassie for the emotional impact. We’ve seen her as Antmans little girl since the first movie and now shes grown up, but loads of stuff has happened in between - despite that, antman has tried to be a good dad. I think if Kang took her off the board it would have made him a big deal, and then want fans to see antman get revenge. It also shows a normal guy taking a major L, and Paul Rudd can disappear for a while, coming back for some kind of redemption arc in an avengers movie or whatever. There is karma in him being a thief to having the most important thing taken away from him by Kang. So many missed opportunities.

Majors performance was definitely average at best. I think a lot of the problem was probably the scripting, but it's not like he brought anything significant to the table with his performance.

MCU should check with the Game of Thrones books on how to write a strong women character - write a good, complex character first, that happens to be a women. Starting out with goal of “strong female character” seems to result in an insufferable Mary-Sue (see also…Rae).

Because time works DIFFERENTLY in the Quantum realm, not just slower. If time simply passes slower in the quantum realm, the Avengers would not have been able to travel back in time, but simply progress slower in time (i.e. experience more time in the realm and then come back).

Now that I think about it, I’m not even sure if AntMan was needed in this movie at all. Really, all Kang needed was the AntMan suit. Kang could’ve also just used Wasp or Cassie to do the job. Scott didn’t really need to steal anything. He just needed to grab something. Wasp or Cassie could’ve done that.
That's a nice full circle: tired of so many bad modern movies I've decide to go back on reading. So these last two months I've reading Tolkien (mostly to erase the images of Rings of Power from my mind, and because I wanted to experience good old storytelling again). One of the last texts I've read was "On Fairy Stories", and that quote about the "broken spell" really resonated with me, as it was exactly the very same reason I stopped watching modern movies and series. I feel sorry for the actors. Every single M-She-U product features actors that are genuinely good at their job. And you can see them trying their best. But sadly, the scripts won't let them. And what they manage to put into their work is rendered meaningless by the way these movies are produced, rewritten, reshot and edited.

Emma Fuhrmann was great in that one scene, but she had very competent writers and directors to work with. Kathryn Newton had nothing to work with because the writing in this movie was incredibly lazy. She was good in Supernatural and The Map of Tiny Perfect Things, so I’m optimistic she could have been more impressive if given a half-way decent script.

The movie was hot garbage. I walked out sad I spent $$ on it. Even the title was misleading. “The Wasp” didn’t need to be in the title since she was just wallpaper in the movie. Bill Murray’s appearance was disappointing, and they turned Kang into a “new willy wanka movie” Oompa Loompa. I could have easily written a better movie that people would have enjoyed. The leaders at the MCU just keep getting more and more clueless.

Infinity War movies felt like a spectacle, an event, the feeling and atmosphere was similar to and evoked personal nostalgia of being young kids and going to see the spectacle and immersive world of the Harry Potter films; kids would dress up and all that stuff. They killed all that.

I enjoy these reviews way more than any films released these days. I'm nearly 60 and have retreated back to watch films older than 20yrs, just to find something resembling actual story telling based upon reality. I mean, even stuff from the 80's is better than the bullshit being pumped out now

About five years ago, I attended a very serious Boy Scout meeting. Mothers wanted to go on camping trips with their sons and bring their sisters too. Myself and a few mothers were absolutely against this. We were firm in our belief and stated that boys/men need their own space to be themselves, learn, and develop into young men, without their moms and sisters present. There were other negatives we brought up about this ridiculous idea. However, when we got flack not just from overly emotional moms, but from some of the fathers, we knew then that the special & traditional Boy Scouts organization would be no more.
Sure enough, a few years later they were forced to allow girls into the Scouts. A few years after that, the Boy Scouts of America ceased to exist and filed for bankruptcy. There are no longer any all male organizations for young boys and young men to call their own.
Whereas, young girls and young women have the Brownies, Campfire girls, and Girl Scout organizations to call their own and would likely raise hypocritical hell if young men were to come in and restructure their all female organizations.

For example: people are complaining that Cassie some how magically opened the portal again to let her father and Hope through at the end of the movie. HOWEVER, it appears that the Kangs did this because as the movie ends and the "Welcome Back" song plays there are people looking at Scott like they are wondering why he is there and we see Kang's colors of purple and green on some people Then a couple (a man and a woman) with those colors passes Scott but then they appear ahead of him and it is at this point Scott pauses and wonders if Kang is really dead. SCOTT IS IN ANOTHER TIME LINE !

This movie is over the heads of most people in America and it seems to be paying homage to the greatest novelist in history, CHARLES DICKENS. If you have read his books or seen BBC movies and TV series based on his novels, especially his book "OUR MUTUAL FRIEND" (his last book), then you know about numerous themes and sub-plots taking place at the same time and about gentle clues that are sprinkled throughout. If you don't like complex movies then stick with those retarded Fast & Furious movies and those idiot drivers and explosions and those fast & delirious women.

No one has ever done a movie like Quantumania before. While it is fantasy and not science fiction overall, the Probability/Possibility part IS an aspect of science and Probability Theory and I was surprised and glad it was included in the movie.
No two screens are the same. My wife and I walked out of an Endgame showing because of noisy kids and because the picture quality was downright HORRIBLE. We saw it at another theater and the picture quality was great. We have noticed this for other movies and screens too. I have also noticed that my bluray and 4K movies all look BETTER on my SONY OLED TV than at the theater.
Btw, every actor in the original Avengers movie is a LEFTIST except Chris Hemsworth. The Left woke crowd tried to get Evangeline Lilly fired from Marvel because she was against vax mandates and because she said that she's a Christian and enjoys being a mother! IMO they should have killed off Cassie for the emotional impact. We’ve seen her as Antmans little girl since the first movie and now shes grown up, but loads of stuff has happened in between - despite that, antman has tried to be a good dad. I think if Kang took her off the board it would have made him a big deal, and then want fans to see antman get revenge. It also shows a normal guy taking a major L, and Paul Rudd can disappear for a while, coming back for some kind of redemption arc in an avengers movie or whatever. There is karma in him being a thief to having the most important thing taken away from him by Kang. So many missed opportunities.

Majors performance was definitely average at best. I think a lot of the problem was probably the scripting, but it's not like he brought anything significant to the table with his performance.

Major’s portrayal of the character was just silly. And after that there was no way I could see Kang as a “Thanos level threat” within the MCU. No reflection on the actor’s ability of course but rather a poor judgment by writers and producers.

Because time works DIFFERENTLY in the Quantum realm, not just slower. If time simply passes slower in the quantum realm, the Avengers would not have been able to travel back in time, but simply progress slower in time (i.e. experience more time in the realm and then come back).

That's a nice full circle: tired of so many bad modern movies I've decide to go back on reading. So these last two months I've reading Tolkien (mostly to erase the images of Rings of Power from my mind, and because I wanted to experience good old storytelling again). One of the last texts I've read was "On Fairy Stories", and that quote about the "broken spell" really resonated with me, as it was exactly the very same reason I stopped watching modern movies and series.
