class 08 shunting at Didcot

  • Class 08 '08804' shunts a small rake of containers in the yard at Didcot. Class 66 '66157' follows to collect a rake of VGA wagons.

    I drive 08s and today we hauled 3 cranes, 2 mk1s and lots of box wagons with just one!

    pritty sure thats the marchwood MOD train.. can tell by the unbranded, old containers.. and it often parks up there

    @Yownanymous Huh? With the exception of a single class 03, the class 08s are the *only* shunters currently on the UK network (class 09 are identical apart from the gear ratios). As for "most advanced", they're essentially 1940s technology.
