The station managers job is to keep people safe. I've met this guy many times, I'm not really a training enthusiast, but his job is to keep people safe, run the station and that's not an easy job So, I don't think it's going to go badly for him. He's completely right in what he says i don't think you have to ask a permission to film trains I don't even know why you'd want to film trains, but still.....
The difficulty with this scenario is that Wembley Central has a unique arrangement, where access to the main line platforms are restricted, and you can only access the platforms when there is a train arriving in, only to catch that train. If you stick around after that train has left, they will get annoyed about it. It is a shame that they have this arrangement now, as Wembley Central is one of the best places to see a 37 due to the bridge above creating an enclosed space where it passes.
Love your enthusiasm, I can relate to it , and reminds me when I saw my first Western at Birmingham New Street in the seventies, carry on the good work.
I really want to thank you, I saw a few of your videos last month and started thinking train spotting may be fun. I am on holiday in Japan at the moment and I had an opportunity to go see the phantom shinkansen Dr. Yellow, and when I thought about how much fun you have spotting trains I jumped at the opportunity. It took a lot of effort to be there at the right time as the timetable is top secret, my brother in law helped with his old train spotters friends on Twitter to find the time. Seeing it pull up to the station was an experience I will never forget.

You're supposed to notify station staff if you go to a station to photograph trains, NOT 'ask permission' as it's not that Sir Topham Hatt's property, it's Network Rail's & they give permission in their rules for photography at stations. If you're there to get off one train & onto another, as you were Francis and happen to hold your camera while there, you don't need to tell anyone, otherwise anyone carrying a camera would have to tell staff every time they wanted to change trains. I might try to find that chap the next time I'm at Wembley Central & ask his permission to change trains, especially as I own a camera. Maybe his managers will have educated him by then?

I might try to find that chap the next time I'm at Wembley Central & ask his permission to change trains, especially as I own a camera. Maybe his managers will have educated him by then?

The station manager was bang out of order. A very eventful day though. From punch ups to surprise sightings. Like you said ups and downs. Also may i add the scream from the last train heading tgrough the tunnel was mental. You have defo increased my interest in trains. 🙏🏆
