@@articeddie5494 Some class 33's are still working for West Coast Trains. There are also quite a few Class 73's still around on the lines in the south east. These were the two main staple locos in Kent when I was spotting back in the early 1980's and it's remarkable how many are still working today.

wow, this is my first time on this channel and I can't even describe how nice it is to just see friendly and simple content here on youtube. No hate, no complaining, just people enjoying trains. I would never think of following a train just to see it a second time, but I was really positively impressed when he was on the platform and met these other people who also just wanted to see the same train. That makes you happy somehow.

I have no particular interest in trains but watched this as the ones being retired were the ones I used to take to and from work. Happy to say I stayed and enjoyed the infectious joy this guy exudes - rare to find something so charming and wholesome these days. Keep on smiling, Francis!

The class 37 Francis was my favourite train that used you come through Stratford station when I was around 12 years old and I loved the sound I was always excited as a kid to see it. I think I felt like you. Now in my 50s I get to see them through your train spotting thank you Francis 👊The sound of the Diesel engine chugging was awesome.

I'm an ol FART, remember the EE type 3s at Liverpool Street in Green Livery as D67xx . They didn't do much for me, preferred Brush 4s and the legendary Ee type 5s, the Deltics. Love your videos and your excitement.
Amazing the 37s still live on, i am 60 and did some gricing in the 70s, they were getting on then. Truly they have given great service, and what a beautiful locomotive. I indeed do understand how it makes you feel to see it, hear it, and experience it. Also to have an appreciation of the humble DMU /EMU. To those that don't understand, well,... it's a Gricer Thing 🙂

When I had a Week's Course driving The Class 37's it was Cloud Heaven 9 ! I drove The Growlers and Whistlers with a Qualified Instructor and I was a little Boy again spiritually. From start to accelerate forward, it was throttle then ease off, throttle then ease off throttle , throttle then ease off gently getting the 37 up to speed. Heaven and all worries were forgotten !
I remember the 315's and especially the 313's and 508's when they were new. Very sad to see them all depart, but this video did make it rather enjoyable 🤔🤔🤔
