    Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I wish every how to video I watch was just like this!
    I just wanted to see what goes into this repair. I do a good portion of work on my Jeep, plug and play stuff. I have a great mechanic but I want to learn. I hate videos that talk talk talk but don't show you and I spend more time frustrated at them, then learning.
    Thank you again! And most importantly thank you for helping me to understand the labor involved. I was able to tackle the transfer case but digging this deep is outside my comfort zone for the vehicle that is an extension of my body.
    Thank you!!!

    For anyone having trouble lining up the flywheel with the bolt pattern try using a wire through the pilot bearing up through the back of the motor. Gives just enough clearance to get all the bolts lined up and pull the wire out without the trouble of lifting the heavy flywheel and trying to rotate to 8 possible positions. Was a life saver after marking the flywheel incorrectly...

    Thank you for posting this great video. It’s very helpful. Where is the best place to get torque specs? I find different specs based on engine size for pressure plate etc. Is that correct?

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, torque specs will differ depending on the engine size. A factory service manual is always a good place to get torque specs. This is where we source the specs we usually include in our videos. However, If you have specific torque spec questions related to a clutch and pressure plate that we manufacture, you can always give us a call as well. Our office number is 661-940-7555

    What do you think about fly-wheel replacement with a new piece: is it better or essential?

    • @rdubb4276
      @rdubb4276 11 месяцев назад +1

      Flywheel replacement is not necessary with the ACT kits, however at the very minimum it should be resurfaced.

    Is the flywheel single or dual mass? Someone told me that clutch disc with springs works with single mass flywheel ; instead clutch disc without springs works with dual mass flywheel. What do you think about?

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  11 месяцев назад +1

      The clutch kits for this application are not conversion kits and are designed to be used with both the OEM and ACT 601060 ProMass flywheel. The discs used in our clutch kits are indeed spring centered which helps reduce torsional vibrations (NVH) and increase spline life. Typically, solid centered discs are used along with dual mass flywheels where the flywheel itself reduces the torsional vibrations or in racing applications where NVH is of no importance.

    What is the difference beween clutch JL & JK?

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  3 года назад

      The OEM JL comes with a Twin Clutch. We do not offer a Twin for this application. We are working on a Single Clutch Kit and a Flywheel to fit the JL. It may be available by November 2021. Thanks!

      @@AdvancedClutchTechnology Update on the JL clutch. We were hopeful to release a superior single disc clutch for the JL that solves all the woes associated with the stock design. But we weren't happy with the test results of our first prototype so realized we needed to redesign our diaphragm spring. This set us back several months, but test results using the new spring and ACT flywheel look really promising. With the current supply issues, we are hoping to release product in the fall of this year. It will be a conversion kit that uses a 11" single disc clutch, similar to the JK shown in this video. We will offer two different weight flywheels.

    What 26ft pounds really mean or how many turns is that exactly?

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  4 года назад

      Great Question! 26 Pound feet of torque is an amount of pressure set by a torque wrench. Not by a number of turns. When using a torque wrench set the desired number you wish to torque the fastener to and it will let you know you are there by either reading a gauge, clicking or the wrench beeping.
