Good stuff! Not enough people are willing to give him the credit where it's due, especially folks from your side of the cross. Much respect for your candor and thanks for the excellent stories.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Spooky Kids. I use to have a Spooky Kids demo tape that I got a copy of from someone down there. I live in Washington state and didn't discover Manson until after Sweet Dreams hit the mainstream. But I became obsessed. I actually have a signed Spooky Kids flyer from my former band manager who use to live down there at the time of Spooky Kids. I'm only half way through your video but enjoying. I actually have 2 Manson tattoo. Including a huge portrait of him the art off the back of Holywood. I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend Brad. I'm grateful to have got over my own battle with heroin addiction. It is a hard one to kick.
Thank you for sharing. Manson has been one of my favorite humans since 96 and I so enjoyed hearing your tales of the early days. I appreciate your open-minded approach and the Negative 3 clip at the end! 🖤
this is one of the coolest pieces of manson history on youtube and i hope more longtime fans find this **I** am a lifelong Manson fan and also a Christian. It has been extremely fascinating following Manson lately and his sober comeback is remarkable. I find the lyrics and video to As Sick As The Secrets Within quite quite fascinating. i think mansons burying of the hatchet and personal reunion with Stephen Bier aka Pogo aka Madonna Wayne Gacy is one of the most telling things about Mansons transformation - especially considering the fact that they sued eachother i’d like to enter the giveaway 🎉 very, very cool rest in peace brad & scott
Interesting video! I hope you get to chat with Brian again some day, I'd love to see a video with you and him just talking about old times. It does seem like he ignored a lot of his friends from the early days of Marilyn Manson for a while, but he seems to have gone through som change lately and him being sober now and all, who knows what he'd be up for.
Yeah, I'd love to do something like that if he was open to it. I don't blame him for losing touch or anything like that. We both went in very different directions in life. That's why a catch up might be fun!
Hey, Bill, it's Bill Howard! Great video, I was telling a friend at lunch today about when I had Brian and Brad over for Thanksgiving, and my Mom pulled me aside and whispered "Are they wearing costumes? Great times, thanks for the memories!!
I disagree that Manson turned people away from religion. I believe religious people did that, Manson just gave us a place to be ourselves. I appreciate you are coming from a good place though, and thanks for sharing your memories 😊
I think insincerity is what turned people off from religion. Insincerity is shallow and God is love, I don’t think God will dwell in insincerity, even worse things. That is what I believe, anyway.
He did a lot of fan service when professional websites were more relevant. His website was brilliant for a long time. Lots fun and interactive. He used to interact a lot more in the 2000s.

What a time that was my friend. I watched you go through quite a transformation both good and bad as close as we were. It’s bittersweet to think of as it lead into darkness but also lead you to light. Brian was definitely not the onstage persona. Each time I was talking to him(always at your invitation to join in wherever) he struck me as an intelligent, soft spoken , humble , polite and kind - to me- person. I can’t speak for others , but in my limited dealings that was him. Genius at marketing. Also , very nice of him to warn me before the one show I was with you, to not stand close to the stage as he was going to be “throwing cat sh@t at them and pouring chocolate syrup on them- which he did- hahaha. For any that may scoff at Bill’s recollections … don’t ……….I remember the bag of stuff retrieved from Fred Hunter’s cemetery and hearing “My Monkey” either that day or the next that you got it. I still have somewhere at least two of the “Marilyn Manson And The Spooky Kids” flyers. One being Scooby Doo and another Willy Wonka themed. Zack - oh my - he was a character!!!!! Saigon Kick… Do you know when we saw them at the Treehouse … that was their first EVER show?(I took lessons from Matt Kramer and he told me that after i mentioned he showed his scrotum to everyone 😂😂😂) Man… great video , great recollections, and I hope he does see this video and reaches out and catches up with you. I think it would do him a world of good to see where life has brought his blue haired friend of old. Stellar stuff my friend as always. “Wanna send that one out to Diamond Dave and Billy the bass player and all the babes at the Horizon mall!”
Rich, loved your comment! Yeah, it was all very calculated. Many would be surprised how kind and normal he was talk to off stage. Super weird times, all part of the story. Yeah, I hope he reaches out too. Not counting on it though; very unlikely he'll ever see this. :)
I don't understand why more people haven't liked this video? I even very much respect what you would say to him if you could talk to him today. I know my name has 666 in it, but it's honestly kinda a joke. I'm not a Satanist or anything. If anything I'm a natural witch, but one who only practices in the light and never does spells or anything on anyone without their blessing/knowledge. I actually kinda believe in a little bit of a lot of different things. Bless you Bill. I re-shared and asked people to give it a like!
Aww, thanks so much. I make no judgment on people's handles. :) I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I hope more people get to see it, and thanks for sharing it!!
Hearing the Satan On Fire story is really neat! Hadn't seen that flyer til now. I've been wanting to hear "Mosh For Jesus". (I don't think it's surfaced on the net yet.) I co-run the Marilyn Manson Cult Discord. After Covid and the allegations (and Facebook randomly taking down our group that we put years into) I just felt like doing a deep dive and trying to piece together who this person might be. This person that I've listened to since I was a teen (I was a bit late to the band wagon and started listening in 2001 with Holy Wood). It's really cool to see how the band evolved, their look, the members, the inspiration from movies, what his message might be or story he's trying to portray. (Faust) Rumor has it, if you play Marilyn Manson albums backwards you hear religious messages. I'm kidding. I've met him twice when VIP was $150. He was pretty chill in 2012. Twiggy was with him. 2013 he was running a bit late, the music in the room was loud and he stood like a statue with everyone that came through for pictures. VIP now runs $400 something but you get to spend like 5min with him versus my 50 seconds or so. (That second action figure is Bonehead from Toxic Crusaders.) Great toy line! I own one too! I tried to find what that first toy was. Looks like its missing a head or a missile. Any markings on it or year?
@@Alienated29 Thanks for watching the video and sharing your journey with Manson! I’ll go back and see if I can find more about the pig. I think you’re right about a missing head -and I may have that. Will dig…
Fascinating stuff. I don't think Manson was really into the booze and drugs up until much later, I'd say starting around his divorce and escalating around 2009 onwards; you can see a noticable change in personality and appearance at that point. He probably had his nights of drugs and that before but it didn't seem like he was doing it everyday. I'm glad he's cleaned himself up and gotten fit, hopefully that will reflect with his new music and stage persona. Looking forward to that.
That sounds right. I remember the first time he tried acid -it was a rare thing then. He drank, but not too much or too often. I never saw or heard of trying any other drugs back then. As you said, I think that all came much later. Yeah, I hope he's able to stay on a healthy path. It will be interesting to see what he releases from his current life stage/circumstances.

Also anything about Missy Romero ??? And Jessica Adams??? She claimed Twiggy or Jeordie White abused her, did you witness any stuff like that ?
Yes, Brad and I stayed in touch, but didn't connect too often as life took us in different directions. Also stayed in touch w/ Scott after he left the band via FB until he passed away. As you could imagine, Brad was crushed, and tried other pursuits. I think the loss crushed him. Missy was sweet. I never saw Twiggy or any other band members abuse any women. In fact I never saw or even heard of anything like that back then.
