  • Jaguar F-type P380. My First Video! Not a bad car to start off with.
Here it is, the very first review video we’ve put together for Remove Before Launch.
This was a video of firsts. The first time in front of the camera, can’t you tell. And the first time I’ve driven a Jag. I’ve had access to some nice cars over the years, but Jaguar has always eluded me. It was nice to pop both cherries.
I’ve always loved the look of the F-type from the convertible when it was first launched to the coupe iteration, which I think looks incredible. Interestingly I don’t think it's aged. In this latest, slightly tweaked version I think the Jaguar still holds its own in some very attractive company. And other people seem to agree, it was never short of attention during my week in the car.
So, this is the first step on this journey, already there have been so many lessons learnt. Things like, 'don’t wear a tea cosy on your head, no matter how cold it is.' 'Stop saying Errrm all the time.' 'Don’t pick your nose when the camera is on' oh and 'don’t swear,' too much!
A ton of material was recorded, and photos were taken. The time to put this together has been far more than it should’ve been. But most importantly we had fun putting it together.
There’s been a lot of lessons learnt and there is already a lot I’d do differently. In time I’ll hopefully bring more, exciting and developed content.
I hope you enjoy the film and if you do, please give us a like, share or comment and most importantly, subscribe! You know what it’s like, without your support we can’t make this work.
Any genuine feedback would be appreciated and help me steer the channel and content to give you what you’d like to watch, and you never know, it may encourage manufacturers to part with their keys!
If you liked it please subscribe and give us a follow on our other pages:

The Jaguar F-Type P380 AWD. Not the latest in sports cars, but certainly not a car to be overlooked. It's been a nice car to start this RUclips journey off with. Join me on my enjoyable week with the Jag, covering over 1200 miles in a few days.

What a great video. Love the chilled attitude, and not getting bogged down in all the technical crap. Just say it how it is. And you were 100% spot on with it "farting" on the upshift. I have just put a deposit down on a used Chequered Flag edition V6. Cant wait to get back into an F Type again, they are so addictive. And bollocks to the bloke who doesn't like your use of English.

Thank you, really appreciate the feedback. Chilled or not sure what I was doing🤔😉 Im working on the presentation but to be honest I just chat like I’m talking to a mate in the car. Probably not the most professional approach. Nice choice, you don’t see many Chequered Flag Editions. F-types are pretty special cars, always felt like an event every time I drove it!

Picking up my Jaguar F-type P380 auto AWD Dynamic Convertible in 2 weeks time...And boy, I cant wait. You described it just how I felt when taking my first test drive. I've been hunting a AWD for sometime. Finally have one, and only 3245 miles on the clock. 2018/10 registered.

Wow, that’s almost like new with that mileage. You’ll love it and I’d be surprised if you don’t get seriously attached to it. It’s definitely a car that stirred the emotions for me. And a convertible always adds another layer involvement. Can’t beat some roof down driving. Enjoy!!!

Great review pal, was there anything you didn't like with the car looking back?

    • @RemoveBeforeLaunch
      @RemoveBeforeLaunch  3 года назад +1

Thank you. Not massively. But if I had to be ultra critical it would be the following. It’s very much a 2-seater only. Not a lot of extra space in the cockpit. No storage behind the seats etc. The gearbox is much more GT car than supercar. Performance was good but not blistering. As a sports car it was great, but there is a lot out there that will out pace it. It’s a wide car and can feel it on narrow B-roads. The engine and exhaust note was pretty decent but no V8 good. But that is me trying to be picky. None of them are really negative, just areas that could be better. Overall there are better cars out there. However, the Jag looks great IMO and it really made every drive special. From a feel good factor I couldn’t fault it, there was something very special about it.

Congratulations on the new car. That’s awesome! If you’re like me, new car day is like Christmas morning as a kid! 😁 I often hear a lot of people missing their F-Type and wanting it back. Definitely a car that makes an impression. I’m intrigued, I love the Alfa, although I’ve not had the pleasure of driving one. Interesting to hear you swapping the Alfa back to an F-type?!

@@RemoveBeforeLaunch hi. I've had the alfa giulia quadrifoglio for 2 and a half years. Good to drive, 509 bhp, 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. excellent cornering. very fast.
but even with all that, its not a patch on the ftype.... the ftype is much better to drive... really good feel for the road, much better looking, great sounding exhaust. I lived driving and owning the ftype. I only liked driving the alfa. an easy decision once I'd decided I'd rather have the ftype back.
gone for the AWD coupe, rather than the RWD convertible I had before. while the convertible is great in summer, the rainy/cold English weather we have for 9 months of the year means the coupe is better suited to where I live.
Great video BTW, I really enjoyed watching it a lot 👍👍

@@davidcarruthers8274 Thanks David, really appreciate your feedback. That's a great insight into the two cars from an owners perspective. Quite fascinated to hear your opinion, I thought the Alfa would pull on the heart strings a bit more. It does also reinforce what I thought about that Jag, there is a little bit of magic in that car. This video was mainly shot in Cornwall, in December. The AWD Coupe option definitely made a good case for itself. Hope you're enjoying your new car!!!

It’s a good car, loved my time with it but there are too many other cars out there that show it to be short on sports car thrills. At the end of the day it comes down to each person’s definition of a sports car. I loved it as a good looking GT car but would pick a number of other cars for performance, handling, a B road thrash or time on the track.

From a USA perspective, good analysis, from what I could actually hear, speaker uses lots of local vocabulary which is completely inappropriate for YT videos; stick to proper English please. Had to have closed caption on to make any sense of his narrative; would also get a proper sound man and use a much higher quality microphone. Many adjective and nouns used that have no meaning to those that don't live in his neighborhood though. (I am purchasing a 19 P-380 in near future).

Thanks for your feedback and for watching. Glad you found some of it useful. This is something new I'm putting together with a friend. Mainly because I love cars and like putting films together. So the local dialogue is just me talking off the cuff, there's no script and I'm no trained presenter and the equipment is a DSLR and a Go Pro. And I agree with you on some of the points, particularly the sound. We'll be trying to improve things. But it's slow, nobody is paying for this expect me and we have no 'sound man.' But I appreciate your feedback and I already have a couple of things in mind for improving the films. It's a slow, long process involving a lot of favours being called which is why the next film is taking so long. Good luck with your new car, you'll love it. I do miss the Jag!

Rubedo Alaberti Rubedo Alaberti thank you 👍 To be honest it’s been quite a while since driving it. There was an improvement in the throttle response but I don’t remember a difference in the gear change itself, it was more that it would hang on to the gears to the redline. Whereas something like the M2 you can notice the difference in the shift speed when you turn it up a notch.
