if youtube sold cars. it has to be the f-type. so many smile and just love driving this car. it may not be the fastest but it looks special and the exhaust sound makes you feel good no matter what day you've had. that's why you need to drive this car to understand.

I’m looking to get a used ‘16-18. This this sounds and looks so good. I can just see myself enjoy my drive wherever I go.

Yes. Bought one. No regrets. Better than my prior 911 turbo.

The V8 is ferociously fast. The problem with the V6 is it uses the same block size for negligible weight savings. My 2014 V8S has all the options you discussed, so nothing new here. Jag should be concetrating on getting the cost of the V8 down, but they have been taken over by emissions Nazis who despise sports cars.

Sandy I agree as I am F-type shopping and the V8 is the only choice

No manual option for the V8, so it's out of contention.

the infotainment in the 2014 is booty compared to the 2018 and the 2019 is even nicer than that

Actually, you can fit two sets in the "boot" with carry bags

Specifically it has been designed to fit 2 sets of golf clubs...

My Supercharged V6 Audi will beat up on many V8s but everyone says the same thing...I want V8 sound. I'm looking at a 2018 Type R I think I'll grab it before someone else does.

Great review except for the wind noise on your microphone(s).
The car drives quite well at the limit - 50/50 weight distribution. Amazing sound. It is actually much better if you go very hard in it than this reviewer suggests. It may be 1/10th slower on a track than a 991 but it is 10x as much fun and on the street is 1000x more fun...the other cars out there are just boring on the street at legal pace and this one is not. That is priceless. A car can be over refined.....that is a Porsche, a MB, and a BMW. All of those are, frankly, dull to drive day to day at under 80mph.
The F type is the best car out there right now. Next is perhaps an STI...drama at legal speeds....

The only reason to go with the V6 would be for the manual, which is only available on the six-bangers. Sure, they're also cheaper, but if you're looking to save some bucks, you probably shouldn't be looking at a Jaguar at all.

The v6 sounds better (more F1) than the V8 to me and has better hardcore driving behavior....better turn in, better weight distribution, is 200 lbs lighter....yeah, it is very noticeable if you like to drive the car in a sporting fashion.

@@jeffreyb.1657 That's true; a lot of times the less powerful version of a given sports car is actually more nimble and fun. The 289 Cobra was said to be a better track car than the 427 variant...both were death traps, mind you, but a good example of mo' powah baby not always being mo' better.
