It's great to have a more challenging pattern/project every now and then. It's how we grow. Though it will take patience and concentration, I believe anyone who knows how to single and double crochet should be able to follow this pattern. Trebles and double trebles are really just longer double crochets meaning that instead of doing one yarn over for a dc, you do 2 yarn overs for a treble and 3 yarn overs for a double treble. The finishing process is the same, just with more (yarn over pull through 2) steps.
Love this Crystal. I am just finishing an afghan that is really similar to this one. I used a bulky weight in white. Even though the lot # were the same the colors are a bit different from one ball to the next. I was thinking of using a tan dye or coffee dye to create an ombre effect. Worth a try anyway.
