  • You can learn how to Crochet a Tunisian Ripple Stitch Pattern in this tutorial video. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. This is the ripple Tunisian crochet stitch pattern from my Stitchorama by Naztazia collection. This ripple stitch is oftentimes called the chevron or wave stitch pattern. You can use a straight Tunisian hook (size H 5 mm with worsted weight yarn) or a flexible extended Tunisian hook with a wire. A few colors of yarn work great!

    Nice is an understatement! I'm mesmerized by ALL that you do! Even with the loud colors it looks stunning! If I could do half the wonderful stitches you do I think I would consider myself the richest person in the world...my mother had talent like yours (European born) her work always turned out like pieces of art very similar to yours....bless you for sharing ALL that you do! It has been a big help to me as I don't have my mother to help me when I get stuck....

    So happy I saw this in my feed. I watched another RUclipsr teach this and used a yarn over to do the increase instead of a make 1. Your way seems more straight forward and appears easier. I actually see the M1 stitch. Thank you!!!! 🧶

    I think you make the !!!best!!! videos. You speak so clearly and that other languages are offered is excellent. You show clearly with your camera which stitches to work into, and equally important, you say which stitches we want to be careful not to work into.
    @everyone else, I let the ads before her videos play through as I do with other videos I like because this helps support her in what she does. I'm suggesting others do the same

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  5 лет назад

      The 22 inch flexible afghan hook should be fine for any blanket. It's a size J, which is good with worsted weight yarn (I normally use an H with regular crochet, but tunisian can curl a bit so a larger hook will prevent that). On my Amazon product recommendation list I have the one I use ($6 from Susan Bates): www.amazon.com/shop/naztazia?listId=1EZEYWL7N9YEW

    Not sure Donna reads our comments but has anyone made a swatch yet? I am experienced at TC but on the second row,it doesn’t match Row 1.
    Ch. 43(14x3)+1
    Do foundation row like usual.
    Row 1- sk 1st bar, inc by 1 in sp., (5) TSS which is same as you(M1+bar), 3TOG, (5) TSS, M1, (5) TSS, 3TOG etc.
    on Row 2 the count is off by 1.
    I’ve frogged 4 times. I’m stumped.

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  5 лет назад +2

      Yes I read comments. If you are doing what you have written above, then there is an error in your version of the pattern. It's best to think of a "M1" as both a space and the next bar as I show in the video as opposed to trying to combine the bars with other bars. Because in your version you state, "(5) TSS, M1, (5) TSS" - that is incorrect. It should be 5 bars, 1 space, 1 bar, 1 space, 1 bar, 4 bars (=5 bars). I believe you are missing an addition space in every ripple, which is throwing your count off.

    • @stonecrestquilt
      @stonecrestquilt 5 лет назад

      Oh I am sooooo relieved that you answered back! I am back at it tonight trying to figure out why my count is off again. Can you tell me if this is right
      Sk 1st bar, M1(and TSS 1 bar to complete M1), 4 TSS, 3TOG, 5 TSS, M1, 5 TSS and so on. Is this correct? Thank you bunches!

    • @gloriaroberts
      @gloriaroberts 5 лет назад +1

      Naztazia has the correct pattern in her video here: 03:33. Yours is wrong. You're missing the second M1.

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  5 лет назад +1

      While a M1 and a YO are both increase stitches, I prefer the look created by doing a M1 stitch as I show in the video, as opposed to just a plain yarn over. Just like in knitting, there are quite a handful of ways to do increase stitches, and each one has a slightly different look to them. It's a matter of personal preference.
