You and I crochet the same way, and that includes that first row, as Continental Europeans that we are, you from Belgium and I from Spain. I lived in Brussels for 2 years in the early 80s. Loved the country but couldn't take the lack of sun. Thanks for making your videos fun.

    Oh Anja,Now I have to go and buy some more yarn. I've always liked this pattern,and you've made it look so easy. I've just sent my son a C2C blanket,so apart from a granny square blanket that's on the go ,I've got time to do this. It looks so relaxing.I like the tip at the beginning about picking up both v loops, to prevent that dreadful hole. I use the back hump a lot, but that stretches to...A great video as always .Amanda xx

The first and second rows go fine but after the 3rd row of DC the next row ends without the remaining 4 sts. What on earth am I doing wrong? Looking back over work it all goes uneven after the (sk1, dc) 5 times. Love this pattern if I could just get it to work!!!!

    what are the multiples again? 17 + ?

    • @barbaralong4362
      @barbaralong4362 5 лет назад +3

      17, and then however many chains you like to do for a double crochet (US terms) . So, if you do 3 chains, it's a multiple of 17+3. Anja does 2 chains, do she did 51 (17×3) and then chained 2 for the first double crochet of the actual row (not the foundation chain) before beginning to work into the next chain for the row. If you're planning on doing a foundation double crochet, it's just a multiple of 17.

    um...Anja, you missed a rather LARGE step...you started the third row partially, just dc's all along, then you skipped to how to change colour, but you neglected to say/show if ALL the rows after are just dc's OR one row is row one style and row two is straight dc's...I don't have the written pattern, am only following this vid and I am at the beginning of row four and have no idea what to do next..!!
