for scraps, I bought a bunch of Dollar Store kitty litter boxes at $1 a piece, and put a bunch of them on a shelving unit, and can sort out each species as I do a lot of cutting boards and coasters etc. So a box for walnut, box for Padauk, etc. Only takes up a bit of floor and wall space.

We built 2 rooms upstairs, a smaller one for my electronics stuff and a bigger one to be my shop. 😊
I'm not sure right now, but I guess it's something around 23 feet by 17 feet I guess. 😬

If you relocate the dust collector outside, that's a lot of CFM that will need to be "made up" from your shop, that will draw untempered air thru all the cracks on walls and around doors and really make the shop uncomfortable in the summer and winter, usually only a good solution in the spring and fall.
Ideally the filtered air would be ducted back inside! Good points! Thanks!!👍
