Thanks for the tour. Nice job for such a small space. I wish I had that much room. Just finishing my small shop space. It's 10'x 22' but I will have room for everything. With the current COVID issue I have gone into hermit mode so will have time to get it done quickly. One item for you, and you did mention it. Get the exposed paper faced insulation covered. It is a code violation but more importantly it is a significant fire hazard. There are encapsulated insulation products and foil faced products that can be left exposed. Paper faced insulation is required to be covered with a thermal barrier with a 15 minute rating (that equates to a minimum of 1/2 Gpy board. I am a retired Fire Marshal, fire investigator and building inspector and have been on two very large fires where the method of fire spread was the paper faced insulation. One was a grocery store just completing a tenant finish. The only thing that burned was the paper above the grid ceiling. The damage on that fire was 6.5 million and even caused a partial ceiling collapse. Just want your space to be safe and assure that in event of a fire that your insurance company cant get out of the claim by citing a code violation. I will likely steal a few of your ideas, so thanks again for the tour.
My shop is actually 11x19 I the main area and that little oddly shaped add on is only about 8x6 or so. Haha not a ton more room than you. Yea my next thing to do is cover the insulation. Thanks so much for watching and good luck on the shop!
Good job on the shop report. Lots of great choices there. I need to get out in the shop and do some work during this hunkering down time. Thanks for a great distraction.
Great use of space! I think you might be able to gain some room by eliminating the 2 shop vacs and utilizing your awesome dust collector with some smaller flex hoses. Just a thought. Great video!
Nice tour, thank you. Your shop is a BIG small shop! I would love to have th kind of space you have but it is not possible where I am now. I have a two car garage and one half will be for a shop, definitely less space than you have.
Thanks for the tour. My space is a little smaller so I put most of my larger tools on wheels. I just need an assembly table next. Until next time. *Chris*
Very nice use of space. have you considered any of the flip top (and mobile) tool stands? Maybe pair up the miter saw and planer, which is presumably used less.
I made a outfeed table very similar to this. It looks like you are suffering from the same thing I am with this bench. I don't like that there is very little clearance for the dust collector hose to attach to the table saw. I am beginning to design another outfeed to replace the 1st one.
I'm really digging your channel. I'm just now getting a chance to put a wood shop back together after moving , hopefully with more space I can expand from just lathe work (already saved you shop projects playlist to go back to). Your link for "things I use in my shop on a regular basis" doesn't seem to work though.
i live in Canada so its pretty much free trip to the ER lmao, but still an inconvenience. I feel very satisfied by that clamp rack, great shop! it gets the job done
Hey Brandon, Just wondering, what kind of drill press do you have? Getting ready to buy my first one, and wanted to see what other guys are using. Thanks!
I'm curious how you have liked the wall control. I tried a few panels and really struggled with the holders constantly falling off when I tried to get a tool out
This is a superb wood working book I`ve ever read, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . Both novice and some skilled woodworker can gain a lot of general info using this reading material. I`ve been very amazed how frequently I use this to look up woods at places like to restore and salvage spots.?
@@WalkersWoodworks I'm fixing to buy a shed either 12 X 20 or 12 X 24 depending on the price difference. Was wondering if I would have enough room. Don't have as many tools as you but think I would have more than enough room with either size. Very informative about how to arrange a small shop.
I didn`t intend to make use of this woodworking book, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* but rather curious about it. I had been truly amazed right after trying it. @@WalkersWoodworks what do you use to sharpen your tools? I can only imagine you're not getting the edge you need. Or you'd be a bigger fan. Nothing compares to the wow factor of a sharp tool cutting wood.
I use 3 DMT diamond stones and a leather strop. They are definitely sharp and I use them once in awhile. I just prefer power tools where possible lol. I do love my card scrapers though.
All of your machines and tools seem to be top of the line in their respective categories but cmon man put a little effort into your stands n shit, should be a day long project for a good wood worker to make a nice miter saw station
I can't say you're wrong there haha. It's one of those things that I had to do something quick when I moved in and just haven't done a good one yet. It's on the list.
Are you serious? Americans really have to pay to got to Emergency? If so, you guys need a revolution to get decent health care. I've had brain surgery 3 times (among other things) and never paid a cent.

Thanks! We all start somewhere!
I have watched this a few times and absorbing as much as I can for the shop layout design. It looks very efficient for a small space! Thanks!

Haha yea true story.
I have the same bandsaw . I simply have it sitting on a pair of appliance rollers (refrigerator) that I bought for about $10..
Good idea! I just remembered I do have a mobile base that came with an old table saw. 🤦♂️
Sweet tour bro! Fit a lot in there and looks all easily accessible!
Thanks Scott! I'm happy with it but always room for improvement.

Hey Brandon,
Just wondering, what kind of drill press do you have? Getting ready to buy my first one, and wanted to see what other guys are using. Thanks!
I just have an old crappy one lol. I've been shopping for one as well. Highly considering a Delta.
I'm curious how you have liked the wall control. I tried a few panels and really struggled with the holders constantly falling off when I tried to get a tool out
Yea it takes some bending and fiddling. I think ultimately I'd rather have stuff I build.
awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!
Thanks videonya,
Hey guys can somebody tell me all the tools i need to make this wood work, to cut to drime, to give details, for personal and hobby purposes please!!

That woodpecker wall worth more than my shop :D
Haha it only took years to get it this way.

What size is your shop?
It's about 280sq ft total with the little add on.
What are the dimensions of your shop before your addition?
I'd have to measure to be sure but I'd guess about 10x20 or 25.

My hand planes are in a drawer with my chisels. But you're right I don't use them very much. Never was much of a hand tool guy.
