$187 with $1,500 out of pocket is killer!
I leased for 17 years and just got sick of continual payments. For EV's it can make sense if not done for too many years.
You can use the physical key that's built into the fob to lock the door manually if you don't want to do the window trick for leaving the car in Utility mode.
2024 id 4 battery percentage on arrival is spot on with the new software. Haven't yet seen it be more than 1% off at destination.
Thanks for your honest comments about ID.4 and Tesla characteristics now that you’ve had an EV6, Colton is spot on there are no perfectly designed & implemented vehicles today each has its challenges. Its always been true, but I suspect the advanced technology makes it more apparent.
I’m glad the out of spec family got an EV6. I hope Coleton will enjoy it as much as I enjoy my EV6. The infotainment system is still difficult for me but otherwise this is a great car that I think doesn’t get enough attention.
Garbage dealers that rip people off and endlessly dealing with critical safety recalls. No thanks
Pet mode on EV6. Turn off the car, get out with the key, go to the app, remotely turn on the air conditioning. The car is locked and is air conditioned the entire time you are gone.
This is the same feature that would let you turn on the heat or air to prep the car for you in the morning or on your way home if it has sat in the cold or sun. Why it isn't on the panel, not sure, but the capability is there through the mobile app. If you don't have the app, you should get it. Notifications of unlocked doors, remote charging stop and start, remote lock and unlock, and the Air conditioning. Some interesting trip information is available through the app as well.
Congratulations to Coleton's Wife on her new car, LOL. Great lease deal. Hope North Carolina starts cranking out some tax incentives now that Kempower has landed in Durham!! Thanks for the content!
Good afternoon Francie and Coleton
3:00 I can't wait for the VinFast detailing video even if it is just a wash, wax and vacuum.
We would not be anywhere else. This is a cup of EV Coffee. It charges up my day to hear the latest.
These are so chill and fun to listen to. Thanks!
VW ID4: ABRP update 5.0 really transformed the route planning ability. Premium sub with the live data through VW made the entire road tripping experience set it and forget. Using Android Auto to display the map. Haven't had any glitches that were common previously. Battery percentage estimates are quite reliable, at most 1% or 2% optimistic for arrival estimates.
Coleton, welcome to the Hyundai Group family.
Again, insane that not everyone has pet mode! Great pick though, the charging speed to price ratio is insane!
Francie,
1. It would be helpful if we knew if these deals at FC Kia were still available.
2. It seems Coleton’s deal was done a month or two ago. It would helpful if the timeframes of the transaction dates were on these podcasts.
3. The Vinfast journey you had seems to have been done months before it was posted. Again, are those deals still available?
4. It would be nice to have a FC Kia rep on to explain their sales strategy and deals.
5. I think a lot of these podcasts need to be more focused. The ID 4 discussion wasn’t helpful to me but probably to others. But to anyone looking for an ID 4 discussion, they’d probably pass this one by, not knowing it was there. I think it should be a separate podcast.
Thank you for the work you do.
Deal was done 2 days ago
Nice deal for a commuter beater. I thought about leasing but .. I put 70k on a car in 2 years, so... Riding the MYP until the wheels fall off.
Any viewers lease from Fort Collins Kia for EV6 or Niro EV from out of state? What were your numbers on the deal?
Does Colton's EV6 Wind have the Tech Package?
Sounds like Colorado is so far ahead of the rest of the states with regards to EV incentives. We get a $2,500 credit in our state for new and $600 for used EVs, but the funds are limited and will run out.
Kyle drove from Florida to Colorado in a I’d 4 he did great
For pets, why not just turn climate on from you app like you do B4 going to work but set it for like really cold so it doesn't turn of?
We own a gen1 R1T no heat pump. My Ioniq6 has heat pump.
congrats to Colton's wife!
There are so many good ev6 out there that do far better and better tech when you get out of the bubble 😅
Great overview. It's fortunate that Coleton got such a good lease deal to offset the large loss he'll have for his ID4 and for his previous generation Model 3 Performance. With rapidly improving EV technology, falling prices and a better range of vehicles finally coming, leasing is a good option, especĺially with local and federal incentives, and tax deductions available for Coleton's business. The Ioniq5 is a better body style for those with dogs, and for those who prefer more passenger space and headroom, essentially in the backseat, but the styling is definitely polarizing, and I don't think it will age well.
4 cars! I've never had more than one.
9 for 2 drivers 😂 no where near Kyle
I have to disagree with Coleton on road tripping ID4. We have gone on 3000+ mile road trips and with common sense, had zero trouble. Not saying it is great compared to other EV'S but it is very road trip capable.
Part of it is my fault, running 22 inch wheels. It’s now super inefficient. It’s just easier to road trip the Tesla.
@@cleardetailing5499 we have an r1s that I would prefer to road trip but the id4( we bought in 2021) is still free at EA. So it's free to travel which is fun. Also, it's deprecated so badly that we are trying to maximize our use of the free charging while we can. We are taking a beating on the Id4.
Great choice in KIA EV6
Better than vinfast
Wow, this is such a useful video. My timing is so great. I just moved to Dallas, Texas me and my wife. We are sharing a vehicle. I was looking to purchase it. I’ve never leased. Can someone point out if in Dallas Texas have any good KIA or Hyundai please deals that’s going on. I would be grateful I’m just so new to leasing kind of makes me nervous.
Start calling around to your nearby dealers. Once they know you're serious you'll probably get call and texts as soon as they begin fire-saleing.
Cheers
Nice deal, but seems crazy to have so many car payments.
Kia EV6 Lease sounds good
17:04 Happy Wife, Happy Life, Coleton.
Not if Coleton's sad about never driving the new EV6 😊
The software is not that hard. I own an Ioniq6.
Tesla demands crazy amounts of money out of pocket. More than anyone else. It’s ridiculous.
Leases are not for me. I also think leasing cars is a dumb idea. You are always paying a monthly payment, restricted to miles, insurance is higher, hidden fees, still have to pay for maintenance, need to put money down and always have to find another car in 2-3 years.
Coleton - driving the ID4 is a win for you.. let your wife drive the EV6..
Is Coleton worried about the “Gameboy” brute force unlocking on Kias/Hyundai EVs?
Different cars for different "use cases"? Oh brother....
You could easily lose in 12 months 20,000 on that vehicle if you were to purchase, an amazing lease deal
Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste
🙏🏻 😊 ✌ ☮ ❤
It is all lies i contacted fort collins they really do not do what they did for colton for others like you mentioned
I got same runaround Quote 30 minutes after podcast posted $1500 down $260 per month 40% more over 24 months no cars available till August
In the Blazer EV, you hit the “keep vehicle on “ tab, then lock your car upon exit with your key fob to secure it.
