I would consider buying the $25k-$30k crossover. The problem that I have is that they are not produced in the USA. We keep buying everything and sending our money out of the country. Vehicles (and other items) not being made in the USA means there are more Americans out of work. The more Americans we put out of work, the less money Americans have to spend. Eventually, Americans will have no money at all. What can we buy that is made in the USA?

My ex bought that exact Maverick that you showed with the steelies on there the MSRP was 20,900 in 2022!! Hybrid was standard, I think now they put that 2.0 turbo as standard. We took that truck with four full adults and the bed loaded up from Phoenix to Utah & back truck got around 29 MPG on the 🛣️going between 70-95 mph no cruise control lol VERY 🪨 feeling 🛻💨 I drive a nice 3rd gen Tacoma 2022 TRD off-road & I'll admit it that Maverick is impressive! 2X The ⛽ mileage as my Tacoma & it has over 500 lb more payload I don't understand how but it sure does 🤔 I've seen it on both🚪stickers Tacoma is 945lbs payload the Maverick is over 1,500 lb!! I put "sumo springs" on the Tacoma because the payload is so wack helps going down washboard roads big time also can pull my trailer without it sagging + can hit the shit out of bumps & don't worry about it, less body roll, also they make your suspension last longer because it's not being used near as much 🤷

First of all you're wrong those aren't affordable. Second waits a few more months until the new cheaper compact trucks come out that are well under $20,000 those are the cars that you want to buy basic and get the job done.

Compared to the national average new vehicle sale price, these are all well below that -so although debatable person to person, these are affordable compared to the $47500 average.

It's funny that you say trucks are being discounted. I've decided to go with the new Ford Ranger Raptor. I've called, emailed several dealers here in NJ. Some willing to sell at MSRP, some want to add a $5k dealer markups. Truck is selling well and Ford can't keep up with the demand right now. Factory orders are taking 8 to 13 months for delivery time.

Was surprised by I like the Forester. The white looked good also. It would be one I would consider if I had fewer kids. Overall, things just seem so out of whack. The vehicles people want are priced out of sight now. I run an engineering firm, and I can't justify paying 60k for a new F150 any more. Just doesn't make financial sense.

  • @rjohnson6961
    @rjohnson6961 Месяц назад

Here’s the thing, for the Ford Expedition or any vehicle, you don’t need the top of the line. Why pay $90k for a Ford Expedition when you can get one of the lower trims for less money. We have a special needs child and will need to switch to an accessibility based minivan. Just to get a basic Toyota Sienna that’s been modified will cost $94k. Now that is absolutely insane but we know the benefits of having.
I get it, as a people, we like nice things but at what cost? I hate how the car market is making it challenging for people to buy vehicles but we also have to be willing to play the game and really stay below the budget of what we’re paying. Just my thoughts.

7/15/24 - This vid is appreciated
Yes, price cut on new, newer vehicles
    However, long term maintenance
Is a bigger consideration for me
    EV and small engine turbo
    Any brand
Just not worth the disposability after 36,000 warranty
Considering maintenance the next 60,000mi to 100,000mi +
To maintain over 6yrs to more +
    Yes affordability Now
Price cut + low % rate
These EV and small engine turbo attractive deal
    CAFE / Manufacture / Dealership
Drives the market and consumer consumption
    I get it ...
    The future of vehicles
    Just junk quality engine, transmission,
    Fit finish
So yea the future is bright with rose color lens on
Remains me of the market crashes of
    1990s housing subprime loans
    2007 financial market crash
    2020 COVID pandemic
    Ain't the future brilliant ...
    Not !!!

I would say people are finally waking up and not buying these overpriced, reliability prone vehicles. It makes perfect sense that people would go with the smaller vehicles because of affordability in this current economic climate. I own ( I do not owe any payments on it) a 2016 WRX Limited with a CVT transmission that runs great
I plan on keeping it for as long as it will last. I do my own oil changes, tire rotations, filter changes for the most part, and it runs great and has been a great daily commuter. With all the economic factors you mentioned in this presentation, it makes perfect logical sense that are people are choosing smaller vehicles that may fit their needs.
