Honestly, I didn't want Anya to be tied down to one brand especially one that is for the most part as meh as Dior. She was doing so well and has such a cool look that she pulls off everything. But brand deals pay so much that I totally get it.

@@enola8800 I guess it’s a matter of opinion. I see your point but I just don’t see it in that way. I’m on twitter a lot lately and didn’t see anything about her shoes until I came on this video. Besides, there is nothing wrong with her shoes (they’re not even ugly) except her toes sticking out a bit farther out probably from a shoe half size too small. Her and makeup are perfect, dress is pretty and fits her well, toes are sticking out a bit. None of it is enough to be on the worst dress list, at least not this time.

Thank you Luke for the correction on Zegna. I did write that being Spaniard [funnily enough]. Spanish suiting is a bit different from the main two other suit schools in Europe, mainly Italian and British. Spanish tailoring is not as fitted as British tailoring, nor it is as structured as Italian tailoring. Spain had its "fashion revolution" and a national programme to develop fashion that concentrated mainly on a part of the country, and helped boost inditex, and created other brands such as Bimba&Lola, Adolfo Dominguez, Roberto Verino, Pernas, and the STL [Sociedad Textil Lonia, owner of Purificación García and CH Carolina Herrera]. Spanish fashion [apart from Inditex and Mango] abroad is known mainly for Pronovias, Rosa Clará, Desigual, Custo, Palomo Spain, Loewe -if so, but it has lost a bit of the national identity-, Sybilla; all coming from the 2000´s investment in fashion.

That is that putting women in competition with each other, reinforces the patriarchal foundations of the industry. Rather than awarding “winner” we could celebrate women’s achievements in concert.

Often the shoes on the carpet don’t fit; a toe or 2 falling off the pointie front. I can’t tell if it is because the shoe has loosened with wearing it or if the cut of the shoe is too pointed for a real foot. OR the high heel let’s, forces the foot from the heel til we get this bad look. May breast tape for feet is needed to hold the foot in place.

Sadie looks so so so pretty in that dress, I think the colors look so good on her. She looks lovely and it's a pretty cute dress that suits her age, I love that too. And my goddess Anya she looks stunning I love her, she's so elegant.

The first thing I thought when I saw the stripes on Thuso Mbedu's dress is that they were maybe a reference to traditional amaXhosa attire. She's mentioned on her Instagram that her paternal grandmother was Xhosa and that Mbedu is a isiXhosa surname.
Thank you for your great content❤️

16:21 Elle & her style team rarely misses. Here is a great example of not relying on a crop top style to seem like “fashion” but gives a similar sleek vibe via slashes at bodice. It’s like a true fashion take on the crop top phenomenon. Cropping a top doesn’t make it fashion, please stop designers. Thank you AMQ.

Honestly I really like the slubby silk used for Andrew Garfield's suit, I think the texture is what makes it feel fresh rather than the same old suit.
Anya looks pretty I just... wish there was an under skirt, I'm so tired of the sheer skirt with matching brief look lol
I actually really like Cate Blanchett's look but agree, she should have unbuttoned.
I like the idea of Claire Foy's like... painted unstretched canvas dress, but the shape of the dress is Not It and tbh the painting on the dress itself is just........... ugly.
Lily James looks good but 1) agreed on the big bow and 2) I wish there was one more panel of lining so we didn't see the effect of flattened boob, or her breasts should have been pulled up more, though I don't know what the actual structuring of the bodice is, so that could be dangerous.. I actually like that it gives a more conical shape to her torso, though, instead of a contemporary look with more space for the bust. I think it balances the skirt nicely.
Michelle Williams continuously bores me and I can't remember a time where her looks didn't.
Best dressed definitely goes to D'pharoah though

Those shoes that Julia Garner wore are the most awful styling for that look, it is obvious why it was styled with the boots and many other dresses from the show were shown with flat shoes

I'm digging Andrew Garfield's suits and the European/Italian vibe.
I don't love that you can see the structure in places underneath the fabric but Elle Fanning is rocking that gorgeous McQueen gown.
Love that Thom Browne mini skirt, shirt showing underneath suit look near the beginning (sorry, I forget who was wearing it). Very well done.

Referring to your comment about D'Pharaoh's high collar reminding you of Edwardian styles, do you think he should have tied a cravat to finish it off? Without, I think, lends to a much more casual look.

I just don't understand how you go through that whole hooplah and miss on the shoes? I think she looked stunning. I imagine she watched what she ate, had her hair done, makeup, finger & toenails, jewelry, teeth, etc, etc. This was probably in the planning stage for months. Unless you have some kind of condition that unpredictably changes the size of your feet, it seems like that would be one of the easiest things to lock in.

I've noticed shoes rarely fit. Sandal style heels usually have the toes going over the edge of the shoe and clawing onto it to keep from sliding forward more. Shoes are always either too big or too small and I'm just like.... how are there not more sizes for stylists to borrow for their clients lol
