@@dw9524 no, she won the award for Skims. Which Kim created, not Kanye. And to give credit where credit is due, skims is a pretty good shapewear brand. Its surprisingly high quality for a Kardashian brand, unlike Kylie swimwear lol. Shapewear hadnt been fashionable for quite some time, Kim has pretty much brought shapewear back into the mainstream with Skims

I feel like that Halle Bailey look reminds me of a modern twist on the pink dress that Ariel wears in the animated movie. I always love when celebs match their looks to whatever project they’re currently promoting and if that’s what her stylist is going for with that pink look then 5 stars to them and I’m here for it
I feel like kim being a short bigger hipped girl, is very intimidated by going outside her comfort zone. She sticks with the same silhouette because she feels like she looks good and she belongs in the fashion world. It’s kinda boring but I get it

Wearing a non American designer, to me, reflects a thought process that prefers to homage oneself rather than American designers for whom the awards were meant. Pity.
I want Cher in Chrome Hearts with beautiful silver/grey hair. As a older lady, I love when older people normalize grey hair aka Helen Mirren, Diane Keaton or Dame Judy Dench. Same for Kris K. She has a variation of the Miranda Priestly bob. Rock that MP grey and look chic.

It’s great that you describe the outfits for accessibility but even though I don’t have any vision needs I really appreciate it! Sometimes it’s nice to hear the specific names of cuts/styles/fabric, etc. and hear it described by someone knowledgeable, it’s a great way to learn.

They did not invent bodycon dresses, and they did not invent sportswear style. All the big sportswear brands like Adidas, Nike, puma, champion, fila etc were founded by white designers. This kind of style may be very POPULAR amongst black women, but that doesn't mean they invented it

She won the award because Skimms was the first under garment brand to have EVERY SKIN TONE! From super light and pink under tones, to medium beige, and so many shades of warmer and darker. It’s the first in the industry to apply the nude look to legit every skin tone.

yes, there is a contract between D&G and the Kardashian clan. Infact, Kim, curated their fashion show in Italy and selected the pieces of Dolce e Gabbana to show in the runway. so yeah they're definitely under contract.
But the American designers and designs are boring af, I personally don't mind them wearing non-American brands.

10:30, I love these pants. Re:22:23, there is no surprise for there to be awards for the Kardashians, who are a commercially influenced brand which equal sales and societal influence for better or worse.
Law also gave a nod to A.L.T. with the caftan. Because we know A.L.T. loved a great caftan/cape/kimono. And I love that for both of them.

At this point most awards have been discredited to such a degree that frankly it wouldn't be a stretch to say that whoever has most money "wins". As long as you have followers it doesn't matter how poorly dressed you are, what matters is that people will click and talk.

Agree, as usual, with the top picks and misses, though it did seem like there were more misses than wins, especially with the foreign designers. I know there’s excitement over Addison Rae upping her fashion game - she is for sure, but I think this dress didn’t fit well since there were the numerous horizontal pulls (even though her figure’s tiny). Maybe someone went overboard with alterations to it? At least it was a cool look overall…
