Also I would LOVE Luke to do a How To Dress For Everyday/Dressing Casual/How To Dress In Non Designer Cheaper Outfits. Although I can understand how for these RUclipsrs Internet Stars who have a lot of money and can pay for much better quality outfits, for people like us who still have to go for cheap and stain resistant over designer and expensive, I would love to see Luke give tips on how to wear everday cheap clothing in a creative way. As someone with volin hips and is a pear shape, and who watches Bestdressed and Rachel Maksy for their fashion outfits, I just get annoyed that I can't find outfit pieces. Like corduroy trousers; high waisted jeans; long brown boots (think Princess Bride); a white blouse with puffy long sleeves; a high waisted black skirt are the main pieces I can think of. But these arensurpirskngly hard to find in UK and are usually too much. I would just live Luke to talk about more everyday common outfits to help with tips for outfits on a budget.

@@caligulalonghbottom2629 Your right, some individual details such as the trim you could say had victorian inspiration, however as a whole the outfit was far more inspired by the trends and styles of the 60's. It had the shape, colours and overall feeling of the 60's. Yes victorians loved lace trim and sometimes used muted colours but even the hair was more 60's updo than victorian coif. At most you could say it was Brittany doing the 1960's doing victorian gogo dancer but why mention historical dress if you omit the actual time period its inspired by?
Honestly I think the fault is using victorian as a blanket for historical fashion. The collar was more Edwardian than Victorian.
@@natalierox99 Not really... high collars certainly existed in the 1890s which is Victorian. The Edwardian period was only a decade, the 1890s was also a decade so the collars are as much Victorian as they are Edwardian.

While I agree with a lot of what he said, I wish he would explain why he doesn’t like a look instead of just saying “this is terrible” or “I don’t like this” or “that just looks bad” like why? I would really like to know why you don’t like something instead of you just acting like it’s obvious.
I thought for the most part he did explian why he disliked it. For alot of the youtubers, his problem was that they looked underdressed in comparison to other award shows. Perhaps it didnt just speak to you?
Katie Ronnie I agree about that and I do think he’s correct but a lot of the times he will say he doesn’t like a specific thing about a look but won’t explain why. He mostly does it in his other fashion roast videos like the Met gala one etc. and I only commented on this one because I’m tired of not really getting an explanation. In this video he was better but it’s probably honestly easier to roast fashion when the clothes look like they were bought at the mall. 😂

It wasn't particularly special or exciting but really cute and elegant. Considering she has social anxiety and probably just didn't want to draw so much attention, it's hella cute

Yeah I really didn't agree with the call on that one. I thought she looked classy, appropriate and her clothes were well fitting. Maybe she could have done something really over the top, but I have watched her videos and that's not exactly her style. Frankly I thought she stayed true to herself and her brand.

I feel like a lot of people did not have their clothes tailored to them. Like if you have so much money, why not get a professional tailor to make sure your clothes compliment your body instead of cutting it into awkward pieces?

A lot of times they don’t actually own the pieces. Their stylist normally own the pieces and the celebs usually just pick what they like the best/fits best. You’ll come to learn that some of these dresses could be thousands of dollar and yes, youtubers may be rich but they also have other bills such as car bills etc. The reason why they have nice things is because as their pay checks go up, they get cars and homes etc and their bills start to go up with it. If for example, a celeb lived in a modest one bedroom and owned a Toyota, they would have more of their funds buy expensive clothing rather than just “rent” it off a designer. I sooooo agree though that some people make idiotic decisions with a clothing piece and should’ve tried something else but they think they look good in it yo. The first person who wore jeans casually (not for farming) must’ve has people saying they looked like an idiot and now it’s a staple. Other people might’ve tried something else and it flopped so ya didn’t work out Lol I think we tend to think that these people are just DRIPPING in money but although they do probably have more than the average person, their bills fill the gap in extra cash pretty often
@@rina.concepcion if I was going to an event I was being photographed at, I would take it to a local seamstress if I didn't have to time to fix it myself. It's not as expensive as people think, I used to work at one, if it's just small alterations as opposed to practically remaking the garment it'll cost anywhere from £5-£30

Late 60s and early 70s fashion had Victorian and Edwardian influences with the empire waistlines, high necks and bell sleeves that was mostly combined with mini skirts that showed a lot of leg. They called these babydoll dresses that actually had a resurrection in the 90s then again in like 2015 lol. Love those eras of fashion.
