    Years back I worked the construction of a several high rise building downtown Atlanta. The city helped with the deliveries as they wanted the construction to proceed easily. Someone should tell the contractor that poor planning on his part does not make an emergency on your part.

    It amazes me when people order things and don't think that u need a place to unload or deliver!!!
    When we had a kitchen deliver at home we made loads of space in r garage and moved both cars off drive so they could get as close as possible........even made them a drink when they got here!!

    this is kind of why you go with the dedicated drywall supply companies they have trucks with booms that pick the drywall up and set it where ever you want it from the ground to slipping it in through a window or a slot cut in the wall

    Why can I not stop watching these videos? Good to see people helping out in these instances. Interesting to see all the crap you have to put up with from some of these customers too, on something that can't be more blunt. You're a good man and hard worker, always putting your all into it, even for those that really don't deserve it. Very interesting.

      I suspect the guy kind of had an inkling that he might be needed to direct traffic. I suspect this same kind of guy has also been stuck in a portable toilet before because he failed to check for TP before committing to the dump.

    Started beer delivery a year ago. Not the same job but similar enough. You handled that delivery very well in my book, it's nice to see how other hard workers do it. People underestimate the skills and fluid intelligence you need to do these kinds of jobs.

    Seems to me that they should of contracted involving a permit of sorts to have a traffic cop to control traffic. They expect some kind of telekinesis or drone to unload everyone lol.

      Either have law enforcement to direct traffic or have a traffic management company set up cones to mark at safety zone to unload in

    Strobes would help...orange cones..?..maybe one of those "slow down" on one side..."stop" on the other side sign.?..whatever it takes for a person not to get hurt or killed...I kinda do what you do...but on the freeways..

    For our company. Drywall spacers are what is needed! The price of pallets now days are unreal with scammers. The DCS need them back but most haulers want a pallet for delivery. Nope.

    I do food service delivery and that is EXACTLY where I park my trailer to make my deliveries. They got one lane to get around, granted you need to use the MOFFETT. Be safe out there.

    I had to do this in NYC a few times it hectic as hell. One particular time I remember unloading on Main st in Flushing Queens. It was such a nightmare.

      You think that's stressful obviously with no boom lift no sheetrock cart no crane that means a bunch of guys have to carry them sheets stalking and buildings like that and some of the hardest work any person will ever have to do definitely cannot have anybody weak bodied or weak minded it's definitely hard work once you start handling those sheets by hand

      @@michaeltoner1993 how many sheets have you stocked and in what types of buildings the only jobs I know so far that are even harder than running sheetrock up stairwells or the dense board used to wrap elevator shafts might be landscape construction rolling boulders under retainer walls or perhaps dropping rebar on a square mile deck at the docks and I'm not talking a little boat docks I'm talking cargo Port of entry I've done all this work so please list some of the jobs you think might be harder than these I've even work slash piles on the sides of mountains after logging has been done and that still wasn't as hard as the three jobs above I mentioned

    I drive forklift on a masonry crew and it can be brutal, besides the physical aspect, there’s been times I’ve had to drive long distances into oncoming traffic in major cities without a lane being closed or having anyone to stop traffic or spot.

    Where I live (Adelaide, South Australia) we have people called paddle-poppers. A delivery like that wouldn't be allowed to occur in situation like that one without a paddle poppers. (Paddle Popper = People who hold up go/stop signs) OHAS doesn't even come into it.

    It reminds me of a time when I and a student driver had to deliver in San Jose California at a theater they were building in downtown. The contractors wanted me to back down into a hole they dug to unload the product. I looked at the situation and told them a flat no way. My landing gears would snap off. So I park on the street and they put cones around my truck. We got there at 0600-and left at 1830

    on the real half the time at a construction site if the important people arent there then hard hats are hardly worn safety glasses are hardly worn and vests are hardly worn but not all sites really require it but OSHA is real strict so violations get thrown out like candy lol

    Just Subscribed! I love how you do things. Hey so I was just looking at it yesterday have you heard of the guardian angel device? I was looking at it yesterday It's a little BRIGHT 360° light that has a magnet it goes on your shoulder and is for safety or you could even throw it on the the fork lift as it's magnetic even in the daytime I'm sure it helps as it's very bright but low light or dark it's PERFECT I worry about you guys on these roadside deliveries ppl are crazy out there be safe and definitely look up that product it has a bunch of color combinations I think a amber/white one is perfect for roadside deliveries / tow truck drivers check it out and be safe!

      There's a few similar LED style lights to the guardian angel, in fact there are many 'night safety vests' with inbuilt strobe LEDs in them these days

    1. I would suggest not waving traffic through unless you're the designated one doing it. At least where I live, if you wave someone through and they get into an accident, you're liable for it.
    2. What about some water soluble spray paint to highlight obstacles? might not just help you but others too.
