@@ronburgundy7127 I drove a forklift for years and would have other departments ask me for help and I was usually happy to oblige. I could thread a needle with a forklift but some people would make it unnecessarily difficult. You'd go over to help and there would be a dozen things in your way that they could have taken care of before hand. Some people don't value other people's time or effort. I had my own production job to do. I wasn't there to serve them.
Just like this guy, he's probably skilled enough to put that load anywhere they needed it if given 30-45 minutes to maneuver around all their obstacles, but all it takes is one broken sprinkler head, or septic line, or rose bush, and all his effort is for naught. It's just not worth it. Help the people that appreciate you and have a place prepared. Tell the others to pound sand.

If you want your drywall dropped inside, buy it from an actual drywall company and have them stock it wherever you need it. If you’re paying home depot prices, you get Home Depot product and Home Depot delivery. And they don’t do stuff like that. Make no mistake, if you're being captain helpful and taken in the extra effort of moving materials inside for somebody and they do something stupid like get in your way and end up with something dropped on their foot or knocked over or who knows what else, they aren't likely to show you similar courtesy in not suing the hell outta you for injuring them...which home Depot isnt going to stand behind you on because you were outside the scope of work. And dont forget, those drivers are contractors. They aren't getting paid on a clock they can ride to do a favor for some customer. They get paid by the deliver so any time he wastes being a boy scout literally is costing him money he could be making on the next run plus the fuel his equipment is burning while being Niceguy Eddie, the time he burns may delay him into running in rush hour traffic at the end of the day, among other things, all of which cost him money. Anyway, she and her mom begged and pleaded with the driver to bring it around back through the condo gate that was really tight. The driver scratched the door handle on the gate and without even a blink of an eye they told him to take it back and refused the delivery. Fucking b-tches. The fridge showed up a week later with a new handle that I’m sure the driver ate. So she hires “Mr Handyman” to bring the new fridge up up two flights of stairs but only pays for a one man crew and the guy just had a cheapo hand truck. Guess who got stuck on the bottom pushing that f-Cker up the stairs.

I've had several customers say they will purchase only if we will deliver to an exact spot on their site. So, that's the way it's written. It's basically a contractual condition of the sale. I thought it was weird because I have a wide circle drive that would have made everything so much easier. He was cool about it and even dropped everything in the yard where I asked. Stupid question: Why does the sales order ask for specific delivery instructions if the only option is curb side? I did request the pallets be dropped beside my garage and I made sure there was enough room to maneuver in the yard. I was very pleased with the service and will order again.

Usually it all about time on site and public liability. . I have delivered sheets of Gyprock ( dry wall in the states) and I crane it off onto the property , then they think you have time to help carry sheets under cover. The longer you play around on site the more chance things can go wrong. If people want something other than kerbside, then they must pay for the Time. Standard delivery drivers are on time Schedules, and can't spend time on sites worrying about a customer's problems. Reason a delivery Template has delivery notes is to accommodate more of the pre-arranged and Simple delivery process. And unless organised and EASY access is available , forget about it..

@@darrenalmeida1382 i don't normally cut mine against the wall. Only do that when room is tight. If i have the room inside i rather stack it flat. I have even chose to stack it outside at times to cut it.

By the way it’s not Sheetrock. It’s drywall or gypsum board. Sheetrock is a band name

Nice park job, it shows you're a real thinker. All that available space and you block two driveways that are not even your customer.

If we blocked our customers drive way how would we get the material that he ordered in it?
